Her

I had never done anything like this before. Ever. My life wasn’t set up for me to do something this taboo. This risky. This… sexy. This… reckless.
As a preacher’s daughter there were just some things in this world I was not allowed or expected to do – meeting a total and complete stranger for sex was probably on the top of the list.
This wasn’t planned. Okay, well maybe it was. Let me start from the beginning.

Him

I ain’t no fool. I know sex could never lead to love. I’ve never believed in love at first sight. So what was this that I was feeling for Akela?
Akela. Even her name speaks to what she is. What she was. Alone. She didn’t know that I knew that that was what her name meant. We really didn’t know too much about each other. Just the basics.
All I know is when I laid eyes on her I wanted her. And when I was inside of her I needed her. I never wanted to let her go. But she made it clear last night before we went to sleep that this was going to be a onetime thing.

She wanted to forget she ever knew him. He wanted to be as close to her as her skin, yet as distant as enemies.

After their night together, they are forced to be together for two months because of her accident and his career.

Could a one-night stand turn into something more?

AWSOMEEEEEEE

I loved this from the beginning to the end, it was definitely a page turner. They way Akela and Nafez met was crazy but it led them both to loving each other. I'm so excited for part 2 with Creole and Nya cause I know it's going to be interesting. Phenomenal read B. Love is the best

Gosh Darn It!!!!! This was a really good read. I just loved Nafez and I totally understood where he was coming from in the world of relationships. He thought he failed and didn't want to give his heart to someone else for them to destroy. Akela's mother was straight crazy and I do not like the way she handled her. I think Akela's life could have been so different had her mother shown real love. These two make a perfect match and had a great love story. Until next time.....Kisses

After Naf & Akela's initial lustful encounter, it took a few attempts for them to get back to happy. Akela's growth was good, especially with her mom. Good storyline and characters. Unexpected ending has me ready for part 2.

What a Ride

This story had a lot of angst and had me in my feelings a few times. Akela and Nafez were a should be together kind of pair. They met as a booty call one night stand thingy. And that one time led to a stronger desire than either could fathom, so they chose to go separate ways instead of dealing with the real deal. Then when Akela had a traumatic event and Nafez had to come to her aid. As expected, old feelings resurfaced, and they were doomed once again....*****Cliffhanger alert!

Loved the story… I’m not going to lie I did think there could have been a bit more drama with Karen. And I didn’t really like how Akela mama just breezed through that explanation of why she treated her that way. But I learned that these will be quick reads and so there may not be time for fluff information. I just like to know…

Anyway great read.

I am becoming greedy for B. Love's work

I have read 3 of her works thus far and already I am a glutton. Key and NaNa perfect for one another from the jump. But neither one was up front with their feelings. Then a whole year passes while each secretly still pine for the other. It takes a tragedy for the both of them to finally see the error of their ways and the rest as the saying goes is history. Looking forward to reading book 2 in this series.

Another winner!

This was a sweet love story! I love Akela and Nafez together. They make such a sweet couple. I love the fact that they didn't have all that unnecessary drama and dramatic stuff. It was just plain and simple relationship trial and error. Author B. Love continues to shine through her writing skills! Congratulations, on a well written book!

Loved It

B. Love knows how to make you want love, even if your not looking for it. The story of Akela and Nafez was great. From the moment they met each other it definitely was Iove at first sight, even if they didn't want to admit it. I love how Nafez made Akela stronger and Akela made Nafez open up. Can't wait to read part 2.

Love me right now!

B. Love is definitely a “master storyteller”. I chose this series as I am working my way through her catalog and I didn’t know what to expect. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this book. I read this book in less than two hours. I really connected with Akela’s relationship with her mother. It saddened me but I also learned from it.
I was so happy that Nafez and found their balance.

Nafez and Akela

Nafez was hard. He was focused, driven and blunt. When they first met, he was demanding. I fell for him too! But he was also afraid. Afraid to love. It was great to read about a guy with these feelings.

Love it!

Nafez is bae! I love his controlling self, but I also love that he won't scared to check people who come at Akela sideways. I was glad that Akela and Nafez stopped letting fear get in thee way and lived their lives together

Good read!

This book started off so strong! It caught my attention immediately. I wish it was just a standalone because it was so perfect in itself. But I’m sure I’m gonna enjoy book two just as well. Highly recommended!

Awesome as usual! So happy to read the full story of Akela and Nafeez. It was well worth the wait. From their first meeting there is an invisible thread that pulls and joins them. 1-click and see if they spin a web of love.

Chemistry

Nafez and Akela have a chemistry that is unbelievable. An unbreakable bond. I was drawn into their world as soon as I started reading. Of course, with any relationship, there will be bumps in the road along the way. You have to endure those bumps in order to get to where you need to be. It's all in the way that you handle things. This read had me all in my feelings. My only issue is that ending. I fell off the cliff with this one. Really?
