Justice from the barrel of a gun…

Dave Corder quits the law in Kansas after he is forced to kill his partner’s nephew, and wound his fellow lawman when he came for revenge.

Corder rides south to Sweetwater Valley in Texas, the place where Corder’s folks have settled and where he hopes to start a new, peaceful life.

He figures he will settle down after his hectic, dangerous and often foolhardy adventures with the law. But he doesn’t bargain for the situation that awaits him.

Accustomed as he is to violence and the misery it bred, Corder is appalled by the conditions that exist around Cottonwood Creek.

He finds himself physically and emotionally caught up in a long-standing and unyielding spate of violence which recalls horrors past for both him and the town, and convinces him to take up the gold star badge again in search of truth and justice.

He is plunged into the middle of a desperate situation that calls for the kind of qualities he possesses.

Once again, he finds himself up to his neck in trouble, with his life depending upon the skill of his Desperate Gun …

Filled with fast-paced action and suspense, this wild west adventure is the perfect read for fans of Louis L’Amour.

Too predictable

The plot was ok, but the good guys won too much. And the evil rancher was the obvious choice from the beginning
