Literally could not put this book down once I started reading. Excitement, betrayal, love, lust, loss, and so much more. On the edge of my seat and cannot wait to start book 1 of the Ashes to Ashes series Scattered Ashes.

A novella that gives you the back story of book 1: Scattered Ashes. I love Aurelia and Rhys's story and this series. Get these books if you love paranormal, or a good love story with some kick ass heroines and heroes.

This is just a nibble of this amazing delicious paranormal story. In this prequel you find out exactly who Aurelia and Rhys are to each other. How this relationship of hatred/life began. It's addicting and oh so tempting to read the next books!! Which i definitely will!!!

This seems like it could possibly lead into a good story but it was too short with too much info squeezed in.

I was given this book by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

3 Stars

This is an extremely short novella and prequel to the Ashes to Ashes series. This is also the first book I've read by Annie Anderson. Welcome to the hero and heroine's, Rhys and Aurelia, backstory to Scattered Ashes. The first few pages included a glossary of pertinent terms used in the series, which was invaluable as they're used immediately and throughout the book.

I gave this book three stars, mostly due to it's length and the large cliffhanger at the end. I expected it to be short due to it being a novella, but I would classify it as a short story. It also left a Grand Canyon sized cliffhanger for the unwary. I would've liked there to be more of a story, rather than what basically amounted to a prologue. However, it was well written and vivid in its detail.
