SEDUCTIVE REASONING
Book One
He's got a killer to catch and no time for love. Fate has other plans.

Former Army Special Forces Officer Martin “Del” Delano has enough on his hands chasing a serial killer and heading up TASK FORCE HAWAII. He definitely doesn’t need the distraction of Emma Taylor. From the moment they meet, she knocks him off his feet, literally. Unfortunately, she’s the best person to have on the team to make the connections to help them catch their killer.

For Emma, it’s hard to ignore the lure of a man like him. Tats, muscles and his Harley cause her to have more than a few fantasies about Del. He’d never be interested in a geek like her, but she can’t resist toying with him. When she pushes the teasing too far, she ends up in his bed. She convinces herself she can handle it until the moment he steals her heart.

Del can’t help falling for the quirky genius. She’s smart, funny and there’s a sweet vulnerable side to her that only he can see. As Emma gets more involved with the investigation, she becomes the target of the psychopath. When the danger escalates, Del promises to do anything to save the woman who not only captured his heart but also his soul.

HOSTILE DESIRES
Book Two
As a cold case heats up, two former adversaries discover there is a thin line between love and hate.

Seven years ago, Dr. Elle Middleton’s world crashed and burned. She has rebuilt her life and found comfort in her work as the medical examiner for TFH. When a new case leads to a cold case, she is beyond excited for the challenge, until she finds out the one man she wants to avoid is her partner on the case.

Graeme McGregor isn’t any happier with the assignment. The doctor gets under his skin in more ways than one. He’s avoided his attraction by keeping his distance from her, but working with her has made it impossible to resist taking a little taste.

One kiss leads to another…then to a full blown affair. But even as they draw closer to each other, secrets from that long ago murder rise to the surface. The killer’s determination to stay free leads to a dangerous confrontation that puts both of their lives in peril and could leave TFH in shambles.

CONSTANT CRAVING
Book Three
She might trust him with her life but she’s not too sure she can trust him with her heart.

Charity Edwards has never been a woman who liked to compromise–not at work and definitely not in her personal life. So, when TJ Callahan appears on the scene as their FBI liaison, she decides to take a chance on the slow talking Texan.

TJ doesn’t like undercover work, but thanks to an old case, he has been tasked to do just that. He uses his position to infiltrate TFH to investigate Charity, a woman well-known for her hacking skills. His almost instant attraction he has to Charity makes it impossible not to blur the lines and he soon finds himself falling for the impossible woman.

When his assignment is revealed, Charity wants nothing to do with him, but she has no choice. Thanks to TJ’s investigation, Charity’s life is in jeopardy and he will do anything to protect her–even if it means sacrificing himself.

This Series captured my attention with its interesting, fun, and sexy characters, and enthralling police work. Plus, you can't beat Hawaii for a backdrop. SEDUCTIVE REASONING is the first book in the Task Force Hawaii series. At the beginning I was quite confused, as I felt like I was reading Book 2 or 3 of this Series and not Book 1, as there were quite a few references to past incidents involving the characters. I was certainly missing their background stories, which I didn't expect in Book 1. Come to find out, this is a Spin-Off from another series by this author.
This is an action-packed book as a serial killer is terrorizing the Island. Former Army Special Forces Officer Martin “Del” Delano heads Task Force Hawaii and enlists the assistance of Emma, in his team's pursuit to capture a Serial Killer. Emma is not your typical leading lady, as she is a Socially Inept Genius. Del finds her highly intelligent, sexy, and quirky. This unlikely pair join together both professionally and romantically. Her uniqueness makes this couple extra special.
HOSTILE DESIRES, the 2nd book in this Series, pairs together two team members that are not exactly friends, as in Book Book 1, Dr. Elle Middleton (Medical Examiner )and Graeme McGregor, former Royal Marine, can barely tolerate each other. They are forced to work together on a Cold Case. As professionals, they come to terms with their working relationship and soon start to fall for each other. Graeme finds Elle to be a very sexy older woman, and the more he learns about her past, the more he admires her strength. And how could Elle resist a Scottish Hunk in a Kilt!
In CONSTANT CRAVING (3rd book in Series) the loyalties between the Task Force members grow stronger, and more bets are placed on the inter-office romances, all while the group continues to solve crimes to keep Hawaii safe. This time an outsider, FBI Agent TJ Callahan, is works working with the team. He is there under false pretense, as he is really undercover to investigate Charity Edwards, the Forensics Expert for the Task Force. This tight group does not appreciation being invaded by the FBI, and TJ finds himself in an uphill batter to regain their trust and Charity's love. When Charity is in danger, the team join forces with TJ and work together to keep her safe.
TASK FORCE HAWAII is made up of such unique and entertaining characters that I am hooked on this romantic/suspense series. Rating 4.5 Stars.

5.0 Star Review Task Force Hawaii Volume 1 by Melissa Schroeder
This is the first three books in Melissa Schroeder’s exciting Task Force Hawaii series, which is a spin off from her Harmless series and what a great idea to put them all together. The Task Force Hawaii team works on a variety of cases in conjunction with local, state and federal agencies. These books are in the romantic suspense genre and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know all these characters. With fast paced action and a thrilling story line you cannot help but be drawn into the world created by Melissa Schroeder. These books are exactly what I have come to expect from Melissa Schroeder, well written and thoroughly enjoyable. I anxiously await the next release in the Task Force Hawaii series. If you are looking for a series that is hot, spicy, romantic and suspenseful, then look no further.
Seductive Reasoning:
The first book in the series is all about Martin “Del” Delano, a former Army Special Forces Officer, who heads up the Task Force Hawaii team. He and his team are on the hunt for a serial killer and Emma Mitchell is the genius who is contracted to the team to assist them.
Their attraction is mutual, despite Del’s best efforts to ignore his feelings and they eventually give in to their desires. Del and Emma’s chemistry is off the charts; sizzling and hot.
However, no one counted on the serial killer fixating and targeting Emma. Will Del and his team be able to save Emma in time?
I was equally enthralled with the supporting cast of characters and cannot wait to read their stories as I was with Del and Emma.
Hostile Desires:
Over the last 12 months I have found myself gravitating to the romantic suspense genre and in my humble opinion Melissa Schroeder is one of the best I have read. She brings the stories to life so well and her writing is of an extremely high standard.
I thoroughly enjoyed Elle and Graeme’s story. In the first book in the series, Seductive Reasoning, they were often found to be sniping at each other. Now they need to work together to solve a cold case and ensure that a killer is brought to justice.
Working together brings feelings to the service that neither of them wants to admit too or even act on. It’s a fine line between love and hate.
There are so many twists and turns to this book that I was riveted and stayed up late in the night. I couldn’t put it down.
Constant Cravings:
This is book 3 in the series and I would recommend that you read the previous two books as situations are referenced from the previous two books in Constant Craving.
I have found myself gravitating to the romantic suspense genre over the last 12 months or so. I thoroughly enjoy Ms. Schroeder’s writing style; not only does she bring the characters to life but at times I firmly believe that I am in Hawaii.
I really enjoyed TJ Callahan and Charity Edwards’s story. Charity is a hard nut to crack, intelligent and an extremely talented hacker. When TJ is forced into going undercover again (a job he loathes), as the FBI liaison to the Task Force Hawaii Team, his target is initially Charity.
What happens when he is instantly attracted to her? Will he let things slide, or will he do his job? What will happen when Charity finds out that she is his “assignment”?
Charity is afraid to love and while she trusts TJ to protect her, can she trust in him enough to give him her heart? She may not have a choice as these two are really meant to be together; their chemistry is explosive.
There are so many twists and turns to this book that I was riveted and stayed up late into the night. I couldn’t put it down.

Seductive Reasoning— While many of Ms. Schroeder’s books are set in Hawaii and this new series includes a few characters from her other series, this is a great original start to a new series. This book includes characters from her Harmless Series book A Little Harmless Rumor— Sean, Jamie and Randy. While this story introduces the new Task Force Hawaii team, it focuses on the team leader, Del and Seans sister Emma, both of whom we met in the other book. Just as her other series has done, this one seems to be not on,y showing us a glimpse of Hawaii, but they are going to be stories full of suspense and romance. When this story came to its conclusion, it wasn’t until the perpetrators were fully revealed by the author that I got it. Some may see it as a draw back that there really were no clues given about the identity of the killer throughout the story. But this did not detract from the story.

Hostile Desires- thoroughly enjoyed

Constant Craving- TJ and Charity are perfect for each other! Except for the fact that he is actually undercover investigating her as a hacker working for a notorious criminal. It only takes one meeting for him to realize that she is innocent and being set up. This book was also great for catching up with many of the other team members. I hope Drew and Cat work out their issues and I can’t wait to see how Del is as a father.

4.5⭐

Task Force Hawaii: Volume One is a collection containing the first three stories from the brilliantly original and hugely entertaining Task Force Hawaii Series, which I love for a number of reasons including the fact it is set in Hawaii and even though their are parallels to shows like Hawaii Five-0 this series stands up all on its own. Thanks to great suspense and characters that are flawed but very likable.

As for the three stories featured here, my favourite has to be Constant Craving which had me gripped from beginning to end. But the other two are just as good and I do have a massive soft spot for the romance in Seductive Reasoning between complicated straight talking and logical Emma Mitchell and the head of the Hawaii Task Force team Martin 'Del' Delano.

Would happily recommend.

This is a collection of 3 books.

Seductive Reasoning: Emma and Del can't resist each other, while working on a dangerous case.

Hostile Desires: Elle and Graeme work a cold case, that brings them together.

Constant Craving: TJ unintentionally puts a target on Charity's back.

Excellent book collection! Mysterious, suspenseful, with true love in the mix!

Seductive Reasoning

Del is ex-military and the Task Force team leader. His team consists of other ex-military from around the world and several non-military at the top of their fields.

Emma is a genius, somewhere on the Autism spectrum, computer and gamer geek. While not officially part of the Task Force, she is often contracted for her special talents. I liked that Del “got” Emma. I enjoyed how their relationship evolved, and loved the HEA at the end. I hope we get to see their continuing relationship in the following books.

The mystery and suspense was very good. It kept me clueless until the reveal. I loved the final twist!

While I liked this book, I found a couple things frustrating. All the quick references to Jaime, Sean and Randy’s history were frustrating, as well as the fact Del and Emma met in another book. I didn’t realize this was a spin-off until I went to the author’s website.

The story had several verb tense issues, typos and grammatical errors. The sequels are evident in the book, at least 3.

Hostile Desires

Graeme McGregor is Scottish and former military. He came to Hawaii for vacation and knew he was home. He is part of an elite task force.
Elle is the coroner and very good at her job. She has a past that haunts her. She suffered being raped and a horrible, public divorce that almost ended her career. Because of this, she is very guarded in all of her relationships.
Graeme has had a thing for Elle from the moment he met her, despite her prickly attitude toward him. I liked that Elle is older than Graeme.
When they are forced to work a case together, things slowly heat up. Graeme gives her the space she needs to get comfortable with him. I liked Graeme’s insecurities where Elle was concerned, since he is usually a very confident guy.

The Task Force Hawaii group is always betting on who is going to date whom, when they are going to start dating, when they will sleep together----all within the group. Can’t imagine that all these match ups within the group would be allowed in real life.

There are a couple of scenes that don’t flow well.
1) It states she clicked the button to unlock her doors, Graeme held the door open for her, they talk, then it says she unlocked her car.
2) She fell asleep in his truck. It says he hurried around to get her. The next sentence he unlocks her front door and returns to his truck to get her.

I like that there are Hawaiian terms at the beginning of the book. However, I would have liked to know what Mo chridhe was without having to look it up in a Gaelic Scottish dictionary. Lots of typos/missing words/misspelled words.

Despite the issues above, I like the characters in this series. I like their strengths and weaknesses. Because of their varied experiences, they work well as a unit and truly like each other. Del is a confident leader, who sees the strengths of his hand-picked team. I love Drew. So many grown up insights for one so young. I look forward to his and Cat’s story.

Constant Craving

This story has editing issues and a couple flow issues.

Charity is the forensics expert for TFH, and she is also a computer expert. She lives her life on her own terms. Because of this, I wasn’t sure she would be able to get past TJ’s ruse.

TJ is FBI. He is sent in to see if Charity is the one leaking information. “He’s a by the book kind of guy, and he doesn’t always play well with others.”

However, TJ and Charity worked well together. I liked how the TFH group stood behind Charity. They really do function like a family.

I figured out the bad guy right away.

I really liked how Charity kicked Drew’s butt to get him back to his life and didn’t mollycoddle him. Once again, I loved Emma’s no nonsense speech and attitude.

I like the strong women and alpha males in these books. I like the author’s writing style and all 3 stories, but the editing issues and inconsistencies are too distracting. While I appreciate the free copies given to me by the author, I will not be looking for any more of her books. There are too many well-edited books out there waiting to be read.

Melissa Schroeder has done it again! Created another set of characters for a person to fall in love with! Task Force Hawaii is definitely one of my favs!

Seductive Reasoning:
A great beginning to the series. It introduced us to a Hawaii team. Delano "Del" is brought in to head a special taskforce. Emma is new to Hawaii and living with her brother. While trying to start a new life in Hawaii, Emma helps the Task Force with a case they are working on. This also puts Emma in danger. When danger finds her, it brings Del & Emma closer.
The connection between Del & Emma heats up but they have to find a way to keep Emma safe in the process.

Hostile Desires:
Two lost souls are brought together by work and an cold case. There were always tension between Dr. Elle Middleton & Graeme McGregor. But work for Task Force Hawaii always comes first and the team always knows how to put work before their feelings!
Book 2 of TFH is just as great as the first! The crew is back, and it grows the connections that they all have. It also brings out Elle's story. With Elle having been distant in book 1, it was nice to get more of her life. She was able to show a personal strength and individuality that kept her strong through all the negativity. This also allowed her to be the person that people turned to for advice.
Graeme was the right kind of sexy and sensitivity! Being raised with 4 older sisters he knew exactly how to treat a woman. He listened at the right time and built a woman up when a man had broke her down! He was just what Elle needed, when she didn't know that she needed it!
Hawt Scot Love!
The Task Force Hawaii Series is set in one of the most beautiful sceneries in the world, but like all beauty, Melissa Schroeder shows that there is a dark side. The TF works together to clear away the gloom and keep the team in tact!
I loved this storyline. It was deep in how it showed a woman at her weakest moment, but there were always strong friends, family, and lovers to pick her back at. The men of the story were not MACHO... They were not afraid to show their sensitive side and they definitely loved the women who allowed them in their life.
Melissa did it once again! She definitely has begun a series who has a great cast of characters and keeps you wanting more.

Constant Craving:
TFH has continued to be a family and continues to care for those that are close to them. So when one of their own becomes under the suspicion of the FBI, they band together and get to the truth.
Charity Edwards is the TFH resident forensic expert and always worked alone. So when she came under the radar as someone who was being manipulated by one of FBI's most wanted criminals, FBI agent, TJ Callahan was put on the case to get close to the target. Who knew he would be drawn to everything about the woman.
This story has twist, turns, adventure, and some danger. It is definitely one of those stories that you won't put down once you start. It also has all the characters from the previous books so you get to see what our other favorite characters are doing...

Melissa Schroeder has definitely created a great series here and it keeps you wanting more!!!

Seductive Reasoning
This is the first book in “Task Force Hawaii Series” which is a spin off from “A Little Harmless” series. Del is ex-military, which I love, he is the leader of a group of very talented people at the top of their fields. Then you have Emma, she is scary smart, excellent with computers and a major computer gamer, and she is not afraid to let you know how smart she is. I love the way the author sets you up with each member of the TFH. You feel as if you would like them to be your friend and get to know them even more. Del and Emma are the perfect team in the investigation, I think the way they work together is one of my many favorite scenes in the book, among the side games the team has going. You’ll just have to read it to see what I’m talking about. If you like quirky women and strong alpha males with a bit of a soft spot, then this is a great series for you.

Hostile Desires
This story is about Graeme and Elle, Graeme former Scottish military came to Hawaii for vacation and found his place in the Task Force Hawaii team.
Elle, a very talented corner, came to Hawaii to get as much distance between her and her ex, after a very horrible, very public divorce that almost ended her career. After suffering a very tragic event, she has had no desire to date any man, let alone a man who is much younger than she is. I liked the slow relationship built between Graeme and Elle, I found him to be a sensitive alpha man with the patients of a saint.
In this story I did notice a bit more typographical errors, but this could be that the copy I got is an ARC copy, but none the less I enjoyed the story just the same. Again another great story to add to the series, great mystery and suspense, though I was a little bit upset at the “who done it”. Already over it… maybe, if you like a good romance with mystery and suspense then this is a must add to the collection. Enjoy!

Constant Craving
This story is about the TFH’s forensics computer expert Charity. Just love this characters smart sassy attitude. She finds her world turning in all different ways when she meets the sexy FBI agent TJ. TJ is a by the book agent, some like to refer him to as “Caption America”. But even Caption America can get blindsided by a sexy geeky woman, right? I really liked the way this new character was introduced to the team. Even though I was like “well duh, I know who the bad guy is in this” some of you may guess it and some of you may take a little more time to figure it out. But the ride along the way is still makes a great story. One of the best parts is putting two geeks together, it never fells you always talk comic and with this I can relate. Again, this story shows how the TFH team functions as a family and the author does a good job of keeping us, the readers, informed of previous characters. I look forward to more from this series. Pick it up today!

Seductive Reasoning
Task Force Hawaii is a hit and it is not on TV on Friday night! This has shades and a taste of Hawaii Five O but this has a romance along with it to keep us all happy. Martin "Del" Delano is the head of TFH and they are hunting a serial killer. Emma Mitchell works with the team on contract and she is a genius, literally, but she can see and find patterns that will help narrow down the search for the killer. These two are explosive together and even though Del tries really hard to keep things platonic he gives in. Watching these two fall for each other in the midst of all the pain around them was great. The characters on this team are outstanding and I cannot wait to dig into the rest of the series!

Hostile Desires
There was something about the sparks between Graeme and Elle you just knew they were going to ignite into flames of passion. Graeme is from Scotland originally and after serving in the Royal Marines he is now living in Hawaii and working with the TFH. Elle is from England and is the ME for the TFH and these two have rubbed each other the wrong way since the beginning. Now they are working on a case together and getting closer. This is a cold case and even though there is a mystery to be solved there is still a romance to brew. Oh, and don't forget Dumfries, Graeme's dog who seems to be more human than dog and just enchanting. I thoroughly this book and even though it is part of a series it can be read alone.

Constant Craving
TJ Callahan has been assigned to work with TFH as their liaison with the FBI but he is actually going in undercover. He is not happy about this assignment and something is not right about it from the beginning. Charity Edwards is the forensic tech for TFH and apparently she is the one under investigation. These two connect from the beginning and are made for each other. Both are intelligent, geeky, savvy, comic-freaks who throw off sparks even when they shouldn't. TJ is sure she is innocent from the beginning and when Charity finds out he is investigating her she want to hurt him. What really happens is this ohana comes together and does what it does best and works well together. This book can be read as a standalone but why would you want to!

Guaranteed the kind of book you won t be able to put down until the end. A superb combination of get-you-hot-and-bothered romance and head spinning action. An never a boring moment type of story line with a intense main character relationship will spice up your world from the first pages.
Definite must read for romance avid readers who enjoy more "exploding" circumstances then a classical fairy tale.

Seductive Reasoning

I liked Del and Emma. I really enjoyed that she was brilliant and quirky. I also liked the camaraderie of the TFH team. The suspense aspect of the book kept me engaged and kept the pages turning.

I did struggle a bit with feeling like I missed something. There were all of the references to Emma's brother Sean, hus lovers, Jaime and Randy. It took me a while to realize I read about them in the Prelude books and A Little Harmless Rumor.

Then there were the comments about Del and Emma being involved with a situation with Sean. That may have also been in the same book, but I would have to go back and re-read it to be sure.

This was the only thing that really bothered me about this book. The feeling like I didn't have the complete picture. I spent too much time trying to find out about Carino, Sean, Jaime, and Randy.

Hostile Desires

This is the second book in the TFH series. More of the team members past is coming to light. Although these are standalone books, I think you will benefit from reading Seductive Reasoning first. If nothing else, you may want to read it after you read Hostile Desires.

Graeme and Elle's story did not seem as much of a thriller or as suspenseful to me as the first book. There was a case that Graeme and Elle worked, but it seemed as though the focus was more on the team's relationships than the case.

Hostile Desires was less intense than the first book, but it was still a good read.

Constant Craving

I thought Seductive Reasoning was good. That is book one in the Task Force Hawaii series. I have to say I truly enjoyed this book. I love the TFH team. The loyalty, support, and family feeling are great. The whole betting thing they have going on is fun.

TJ and Charity had such great dialogue. Their conversations were steeped in sarcasm. The suspense in this one was pretty awesome. I had a good feeling about who was behind setting up Charity, but the why escaped me until the very end. Toss in a hot steamy romance, and you have the full package.

I can't wait for the Drew/Cat, Adam/Jin, and Marcus/Tamilya books.

I voluntarily read and reviewed Task Force Hawaii Vol. 1.

The book is a compilation of the first three books in the new Task Force Hawaii series. It was a great book that kept me enthralled the entire time I was reading it. I did enjoy being able to go from one book to the next in the series. Throughout the whole book you get a great view of what life in Hawaii is like through the authors descriptions.
Seductive Reasoning
This was a wonderful story. It is the first introduction to the team. The characters are well developed and have great interactions. It is romance and suspense in one. It kept you wondering what would happen next. The story was paced well, with enough information to understand the dynamics between the characters and keep the readers attention.
Hostile Desires
This is the second in the series. Again, it was a great romantic suspense that continues with the team. It adds more information about the characters and allows you to get to know them better, while also trying to determine who the bad guy is. This story also had an older women, younger man story to it, which I must say was a surprise.
Constant Craving
Is the last story in the book and it was just as good as the first two. It again expanded on the characters that I had already come to love and begins a new relationship. This story involved great cyber-crime story. The characters are developed well and the story is paced to keep the readers interest.

Not one, not two but three books in the Task Force Hawaii series.
Book 1. Brought us Del and Emma who a desperately fighting their attraction amid an investigation to catch a killer. Great to watch them unfold and give in to their desires. Beautiful characters.
Book 2. Fire and ice collide and need to work a cold case together. Emotional book with Elle and Graeme, but with heat and humour thrown in.
Book. 3 T.J. and Charity burn the house down with heat. Gripping story, loveable characters. With a hacker and a killer causing mayhem and targeting one of the TFH team, will they prevail?
Well written, lots of twists and turns and an amazing job of character dynamics throughout the series. Brilliant series!

I always enjoy, this authors books. This book set is OMG so good. This series, is set in Hawaii hint's the name. Think Hawaii 5-0 the TV series and you have this series.

However this series, is so HOT, the Men are OMG so Hot and the women are so funny. This series is full of Romance, Action, Suspense and funny moments.

These Police Officers are the Best of the Best, they head the Task Force, they investigate High profile cases. While they are crime solving, they are also falling in love. This book will have to you on the edge of your seat, till the end. You will love the Men, they are Alpha men, but they are so gentle with the women they fall for....

I wish I could give this book more then five stars, more like 100 stars. I can't wait for Drew and Cat's book....

I won't give out details on the stories as I don't like to spoil things. What I will say I am in awe of Melissa, she has all the attributes I love in an author, her storylines have action, keep you on the edge of the seat, a great sense of quirky humour, sensitivity and of course hot, steamy romantic scenes. Her alphas and heroines are strong and sexy. These 3 novels are a must read so put this volume on your to buy list, you will not be sorry.

SUSPENSEFUL AND ENJOYABLE - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Author did a fantastic job of creating characters and developing strong personalities, each with very specific skills, all adding to the unity and brotherhood of this special Task Force. These first three stories set the pace and tone for great suspenseful adventures, each with romantic overtones and lasting relationships. A great series to re read as highly entertaining.

This is a great collection of the first three books in this series. They are filled with drama, intrigue, suspense, and passion. The characters are all uniquely well drawn, and the stories are engaging and thoroughly appealing. It’s a wonderful series with the characters integrated throughout and engrossing side storylines that are interwoven within each tale. There’s a lot in each romantic suspense to keep you thoroughly engaged from start to finish.

So fun!

So like I imagine IRL there are some natives and some transplants. Unlike IRL, they all seem to be great looking, and many are well off.
There are a range of personalities and cases.
In fact, sounds a lot like a tv show.
However, I get to use my imagination on this, and they aren’t limited by tv constraints.
Good set, now I have to find the next ones

This is a three book collection. The first book starts out a little slow and characters were hard to keep straight but by the fourth chapter I was hooked. Each book flows well into the next one.. Only problem is, Now I wished I had any books both before this 3 part series and after.

1. SEDUCTIVE REASONING
The first book of this series and with the first chapter I knew I was going to enjoy this. A little cross between Hawaii 5.0 and NCIS. The family vibe with this team is great and definately funny. I can tell this series i am going to love.
Emma and Del have to work together and fight the attraction they have for each other, while investigating a really nasty killer. The funny thing about this is everyone but them knows how they feel for each other hahaha and love taunting Del even though he is the boss. Emma is such a quirky character and I absolutely love her.
Del is a typical alpha male but has a soft spot when it comes to Emma. Although he is not very good at showing that side. How his team is with him about his feeling for Emma is soooo funny, especially with the bets. He takes care of his team like a family.
Emma is as I said before quirky. Not alot of people get her and how she is, but a small group of people do including Del yummy. She has such a troubled but big heart that hasn't experienced alot of love in her past.
These two together? Brilliant and beautiful. How they investigate the killings is interesting. The whole team have there part in the team, and even though they all don't always get on, when needed they work well and act like family. Each have stories to tell and even though this is more Del and Emmas story, you get hints of the others that make you want to know more. I am hooked.

2. HOSTILE DESIRES
Holy hell that was one emotional book. Jin and Elle? I don't know how I would deal with what they have been through.
Elle had a traumatic experience that was made even worse by her jerk of an ex husband and friends/ colleagues. She came to Hawaii to make a new start and she has made a home. She still had some issues to work but she loves her life. Helping Jin and her trauma has brought back memories and sometimes when that happens her bitchiness comes out, as Greame knows first hand. What doesn't help is her attraction to him.
Greame isn't a big fan of spending time with Elle after a cold and hostile first meeting with her. It hit him in a vulnerable way. This Scotsmen actually the fit hubba hubba Scotsmen very much cares what the people he works with think about him. So when he gets that greeting for no reason at all he doesn't like it one bit. Especially since he can't stop thinking about her.
When  these two have to work a cold case together, they have to learn to be nice to each other. And boy was this interaction fun and frustrating to read. I understand why Elle was weary about her feelings for Greame because of her past. God I wanted to go and throat punch everyone who did her wrong. I mean come on these are people who know better and deal with this sort of thing and they attack the victim. Greame I think would've of gladly beat them all till the bled. He was so patient and caring with her and angry for her. LOVELY AND HOT. Oh the mums going on at them hahahaha would've loved to see that meet. And apparently the team still get involved hahaha well they are all family.
Once again I got completely hooked. This had me in tears as few times both for the pain of the past and beauty of the future. Such a great read :)

3. CONSTANT CRAVING
A hacker and a killer is on the island causing trouble for the FBI who have been on his case for along time. But is also targeting one of the TFH team.
TJ is sent to the TFH to investigate Charity as a suspect. What he wasn't expecting was his instant attraction to her and the need to protect her. Also the trouble he would be in once it's out why he is there, and not just from Charity. The TFH are a family so you hurt one, the others plan to kill and hide the body. But then he finds he actually likes this group and fits in, especially when he gets right in to take care of Charity and she doesn't make it easy.
Charity isn't a commitment person, she has relationships but runs scared when things get serious. So when TJ joins the team in a liason side she gets straight on that. He is different then most and likes him, then the truth comes out that he investigating her. He lied and she wants to hurt him. But when it comes through that not only does he believe she is innocent but also believes she is a target. So the fun begins with these too and when I say fun I mean hot attraction and the fights ;)
Such a fun and very hot couple. Both geeks so you can imagine the conversations about Marvel, DC  and Dr Who. Oh and wait till you find out what TJ really stand for hahaha. Goofy, geeky parents. Brilliant book. And I love that you still get the others in the team and what's going on with them. Of course the butting and and bets hahahaha. Roll on next book.

Seductive Reasoning
Emma and Del met before this story takes place but are thrown back together as this story unfolds. Emma is a straight-up genius who lost her parents when she was 15 and has only recently connected with a brother she hadn't even known existed. She is determined to stay away from Del because she doesn't want a romantic entanglement. Del agreed to be the head of Task Force Hawaii but he didn't count on working with someone like Emma. He finds her irresistible because she is both strong and able to stand on her own two feet but also in need of being taken care of because she doesn't always understand how the world works. The bad guy in this story is really strong. Some of the logical leaps that Emma makes when profiling the bad guy were a bit hard to believe but you just have to trust that Emma's big brain saw the connections. I guessed how the end would play out because the author planted the seeds well so when it happened it was well done. I really enjoyed this story and I recommend it.

Hostile Desires
Elle has worked hard to put her life back together after everything came crashing down around her 7 years ago. She loves being part of the Task Force Hawaii team. After an ugly divorce, she has no intentions of ever getting into another romantic entanglement especially not with another cop or co-worker. Graeme is a big, loud, Highlander with a heart of gold and an undeniable attraction to Elle. I'll be honest that I didn't totally get the attraction between Elle and Graeme but you don't always have to understand it to believe it. At first, I had trouble believing it but then, toward the end of their story, I would see how two people who traveled halfway across the world for jobs might find each other interesting. I thought the bad guy in this story was a little bit weak. I understand why the bad guy didn't want to get caught but his actions were guaranteed to get him caught. There's a big scary something that happens near the end of the story and I thought that was a really nice addition to the story. You have to read this story in order to have all of the pieces to the puzzle of the next few stories.

Constant Craving
Charity is one of the world's best hackers and she just happens to work for Task Force Hawaii. TJ is an FBI agent assigned to find a leak at Task Force Hawaii. He takes one look at Charity and he is a smitten kitten. Of the three stories, I liked the speed of the love story the least. I'm not a fan of insta-love as a general rule. The author did a nice job putting together elements of each character that could explain their instant attraction and what they have in common. I knew who the bad guy was about halfway through but his action toward the end of the story makes absolutely no sense at all. I'm not going to give anything away but there is no way he'd get away with it with a boy scout like TJ working the case. The best I can figure is that the character maybe had a mental breakdown so his actions make no sense. Again, this story has to be read in order to read the next couple in the series.

Overall, I enjoyed these three stories and I would recommend them if you like stories in Hawaii, police stories or interconnected stories.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Seductive Reasoning: Although this book is a spin off from the Harmless series you will not be lost. Emma's brother Sean was in that series and their situation was mentioned and explained. Emma is a genius, simply put. Her mind works like a computer which is wonderful for assisting this task force but puts her in the socially awkward category. Del, the leader of this task force, has always had an instant connection with her. The whole team is working on a serial killer case with very tense moments and great sleuthing. What I enjoy about Schroeder's writing is her ability to successfully integrate an interesting crime with enough details to keep us guessing and give us romance. Lots of great characters with plenty of clues to more in the TFH series, most looking forward to Graeme and Elle. Thank you Melissa for my copy to review.

Hostile Desires: What's not to love about a specialized group of cops working in Hawaii? This series has a little Hawaii Five-O flare, a little CSI, a little soap opera and two transplants from across the pond. Graeme, the sexy Scot in a kilt (slightly disappointed it appeared only once), and Elle, the tough as brass ME from London decide to put their attitudes aside and get it on. Elle's past experience, failed marriage and victim of a terrible crime, gave her reasons to despise Graeme at first sight. Graeme, however, decided to push her buttons and take advantage when they grabbed a case together. A murder from thirty years ago comes to light through a drug induced robbery/murder and TFH got it solved. Schroeder always gets the mix just right, the spark with passion along side solving an exciting case. Graeme's dog is a riot and quite the ladies man by stealing more than his fair share of scenes. The TFH series will have books focusing on a specific couple but the background characters and their past will be part of future books. You could read out of order but you miss some of the connections. As part of Schroeder's review team I received my copy for my honest review.

Constant Craving: Two tech geeks from different government agency come together to catch a murdering hacker. The hacker attaches himself to a lonely woman, slowly steals her money and kills them. The FBI thinks the suspect is Task Force Hawaii's very own Charity Edwards, the hacking genius. TJ is sent undercover to get close to Charity to solve these crimes, however he quickly realizes it's not her. Schroeder gives us a smart mystery and keeps us guessing with creative clues. If you are a comic book lover or just love the superhero movies you will appreciate the connections to their story. TJ and Charity click together pretty quickly and the book turns into a hot steamy romance, pretty obvious by the half naked man on the cover. In the third book of the series we get to revisit the other couples and see the difficulties of others. The books standalone with the crimes and murders but the friendships and romances that bloom are a continuing story line, I recommend reading them in order. I was given an advanced reader copy for my honest review, thanks Melissa!
