Such a cute book! I'm surprised to see so few reviews. While perhaps the story isn't particularly original or surprising to those of us familiar with what grass and flowers and soft feathers might be woven into at Easter-time or what might be hidden inside even the plainest egg, children might be tickled by the ending and, in any case, the story is sweetly told and the illustrations are awwww-fully cute ;-) I also appreciated that the little bunny got caught up enjoying the beauty of spring rather than just focusing on finding Easter eggs.
On Easter Sunday, a little rabbit wanted to find a very special egg. She goes looking for one, and along the way helps other animals with their egg hunt. After, she realizes that she hasn't found an egg of her own! What surprise will she find at the end? These illustrations are...Just. So. Cute! It is an adorable book for the holiday season, sure to make you smile! Follow @bronteandwiler for more fun book recommendations!
First off, the illustrations inside this book are much better than the cover would make you believe. The story is of a little bunny who doesn’t want just any Easter egg, but something special. She helps each of her friends find a special egg, but will she ever find hers? A nice story for Easter, but no big surprise. Just more of what you already have on your book shelves for Easter.
Easter Sunday has arrived, and a little gray bunny sets off to find a special egg. He looks high and low, but can't find one. Everyone seems to find a colorful egg but him. He finally finds an egg, but it is only white, and it is also warm. He stays nearby to keep the egg warm, and much to his delight the egg is a very special one.
Rabbit is on a hunt to find easter eggs. Rabbit helps everyone else with their hunt before finally find one of her own. What will the surprise be? This is such a lovely tale of kindness and helping others and how it's not always the things you're hoping for that will give you the greatest joy.
The best Easter book I have found so far. The story and illustrations are cute and sweet but it has a lovely surprise ending! A great book for reading to the younger set while pointing out all the details in the colorful illustrations!
A bunny is looking all over for special eggs but can't fins any painted ones although he finds a very special egg in the end. Cute ending. Preschool and up
