***A brand new stand-alone holiday story from P. Jameson***

All Francesca Brightwood wants for Christmas is a cure for loneliness. Past tragedies have left her with nothing but her home, her family’s inherited flower shop, and a desperate hope that something brighter is on the horizon. In walks Malcom, right off the streets, and her heart takes notice. The honest way he looks at her, like she’s the calm to his storm, tells her there’s a chance her wishes could come true. But the closer they become, the more Malcom’s mysterious history seems impossible to hurdle.

Malcom “Skinner” Frazier is hiding from his past, and trying to heal from a crippling injury. When he finds himself in front of Brightwoods Floral & Gifts, he has no idea the woman inside is just as lost as he is. Drawn by her kindness and the careful tenderness in her eyes, he begins to wonder if she can help him find his way. But when the past comes calling, and all of Malcom’s secrets are revealed, will Francesca accept what he truly is and the future he wants with her.

“Your mouth is beautiful. Your taste is beautiful. Everything about you is so fucking beautiful. I want more of you, Francesca. Can I have it? Can I show you how good I could be for you?”

Color me impressed!

This was my first read by this author and it took me by surprise, I can tell. To be honest, I didn’t expect to be this pleased with the whole book. Not only did the story bristle with intense emotions, but it also had plenty of sweet moments to swoon over.

All is Bright is a paranormal romance story of two wounded souls who were drawn together by their own painful memories. Malcom had lived his entire life in darkness. He left his only family to start a new life, but even so, his ugly past still haunted him badly. He was totally broken inside…until he met Francesca. She became his bright spot. She brought light back into his life and filled his lonely existence with her love.

After being the only one who survived a car accident that killed her parents and her baby sister, Francesca had lived every day of her life with guilt over their deaths. When Malcom walked into her shop, there was something about him that made her feel warm and secure inside. Undoubtedly, they became each other’s remedy. He eased her pain and chased her loneliness away while she mended his broken pieces inside. Together, they helped each other be whole again.

But Malcom had secrets that might drive Francesca away from him if she found out who or what he truly was. Will she accept him with open arms? And how can they have a future together when his past came calling eventually?

I adored both Malcom and Francesca. I could see the strong passion between them, and of course, their chemistry was off the charts. Get your fan ready, the sex scenes were scorching hot!!

And that sweet ending… I couldn’t ask for more.

By the way, there is nothing more fulfilling than reading a wonderful book like this one. I finished this novella with the overflowing feelings of delight and astonishment. Fans of PNR shouldn’t miss out on this one.

“I’m your bright spot… and you’re mine. Together we’re magic. Together we can do anything. Even find our way through this. So mark me for Christmas. Give me your forever, and I’ll give you mine.”

Loved it!

THIS is how to write a novella! What an absolute gem of a read this was, I loved every single word. Loved both Francesca and Malcolm so hard, they were perfect for each other.

For someone who's not a fan of novellas this one really worked. Not once did it feel rushed or skimped on, the author built a great world in a short space of time without an overload of boring or unnecessary filler. I love it when I finish a book with a silly grin on my face and full of the feel-good factor. This was definitely one of those :))

I'm so going to see what else the author has written, I'm hooked!

I'm way behind on my Christmas reading and since I've seen really good reviews coming through for this book I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did since it turned out to be an absolutely fabulous little read.
Malcom Frazier is a mystery, he's running from his past, he's lost, lonely and miserable but then he sees Francesca and for the first times in decades he feels hope.
While Francesca's circumstances maybe different she's just as lonely and sad and in desperate need of someone special in her life.
While this is a short read at only 112 pages it feels longer, I'm not a huge fan of novellas they usually leave me feeling disappointed since they invariably feel rushed and without any depth or development but that's certainly not the case here. Time is taken to introduce the characters and slowly build the relationship and then introduce the others elements.
This is a fabulous little read and I'm going to be checking out other books from this author.

I absolutely LOVED this book. It was a beautiful love story for the holidays. Two lost and broken souls who find each other and heal each other. And it had the paranormal element I love. My only complaint is there was no epilogue. My Christmas wish would be this is the start to a new series so we'll see more of these two...hint, hint.

FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!

I gave this 5 stars even without there being an epilogue....that means a lot for me. I will however say that I want/need more!!!!!

~broken shifter hero who was so fantastic
~lonely heroine who was awesome and completely likable
~no cheating or ow/om drama whatsoever
~no pushing away
~neither were virgins
~no epilogue :( which normally would automatically deduct a star for me but I'm wishing/hoping/praying there will be more!

"Your heart is amazing. As beautiful as you are.
I'll keep it safe. If you gave it to me,
I would hold it so carefully.
I'd protect it with everything I have.
It would be my most precious treasure."

This book was full of surprises. Such a feel-good story...
I don't really want to tell much about it, because the hidden truths are all the fun.
The best Christmassy book I have read this year!

I jump on to GoodReads for 5 minutes (ok maybe like 3 hours but it was only meant to be 5 minutes honest honey) and all my friends are five starring the hell out of this book so naturally I had to check it out and somehow I one clicked it and next thing you know I couldn't put it down.

Super sweet paranormal novella with an awesome plot, great characters and great world building in a quick little novella. Now I am off to stalk the author for a minute or twenty.

I loved this shifter Christmas story. I adored both MCs which is rare for me. I want more of these two. I need to know what happens in their future. Even without that it was a great, feel-good Christmas read.

Spinoff stand alone novella

This is a spinoff from Ouachita Mountain Shifters #6, though it took me until about halfway through to recognize it. It isn't necessary to read that to enjoy this novella, but if you like this you'll likely enjoy that series as well as the other 3 (?) Arkansas-set series written by P. Jameson.
Malcolm is on the run from his family, a low-level criminal gang of Shifters out of Memphis. He, as well as the rest of the family, is living under a curse and this is his impetus for leaving his violent life behind. He meets Francesca Brightwood, a shy, lonely woman who runs a flower shop. He's attracted but doesn't feel that he can offer anything because he is "broken." He has been living in a homeless shelter because if he touches his money in Memphis his family will come for him. Franny, who is suffering from guilt and sorrow over the loss of her parents and sister, is attracted to him. As they get to know one another, they have to work through their issues to get to their HEA.
As usual, P. Jameson offers a well-written story with nicely developed characters. I don't know if there will be any other related stories, but this one stands alone quite well.

I really enjoyed this one! Super sweet mate book, with a little suspense thrown in. I really did not know what his issues were before they were revealed.

I had one issue with the story that I just could not suspend enough reality to believe it and it brought my score down.

This novella length paranormal romance set at the holidays was one big, highly entertaining guilty pleasure. I loved it! Two lonely souls who find comfort in a simple kindness that grows into so much more. Realistically portrayed MCs and one is a shifter and it works! Oh, and their coming together was a bonfire of hotness. Scorching. The ending was near to perfect. I'll read more from this author.

Amazing story!

This was a surprise release that I was so excited to read. And it didn't disappoint at all! The characters are so relatable and believable and I was invested in their story from the beginning. I fell in love with Malcolm from the beginning and Francesca could have been my best friend. I loved all the little surprises in the book, and especially the one at the end. I didn't want this book to end, and if I could, I'd give it more than five stars!

Holiday Bright Spot

This short story was everything I needed this Christmas! A grand, quickly drawn but well framed tale of love, redemption, and healing for two lonely, yearning hearts. The magic of unconditionality flows here. Yes, it's hard to imagine things would fall into place so easily, but that's what magic is about. A chance taken, a chance given, a curse broken, happily ever after. Highly recommended, and I would like to see more of the were cats find redemption.

Yes, I decided to read a Christmas novella in July. So sue me.

So All Is Bright is a short little PNR novella detailing the romance between Malcolm Frazier and Francesca Brightwood. Malcolm was once a member of a werecat clan that basically operated like the mafia. Because the clan was so corrupt, Malcolm and his family were cursed by a witch, preventing them from shifting. After finally realizing he couldn't continue to live with his clan, Malcolm left. Francesca, meanwhile, experienced the death of her parents and baby sister at a young age, and feels very alone. Francesca is completely human and unaware of the existence of the werecats. This seems to be a prequel to a series but can stand on its own just fine.

So writing an enjoyable, believable romance novella is no easy feat, and PNR makes it that much harder, IMO, because the author also has to tackle the issue of world building. Jameson manages to juggle all of these things shockingly well. There IS instalove, though I tend to give it more of a pass with shifter storylines, since some of that can be handwaved away with the whole "mate" umbrella.

Mal is an excellent hero: likeable, kind, and very loving/protective of the heroine, Franny. Although his past misdeeds are vaguely sketched out for the reader, nothing is described in explicit detail, which I think is the right move in a novella <100 pages long. Honestly, Mal is fantastic. For example, even when he is technically homeless and Franny asks him to stay with her so he doesn't freeze to death, he walks around her house and makes sure she is safe, she has enough food, firewood, etc.

Franny is a bit more incomplete as the heroine. The fact that she decides to take a homeless man in to her business, her home, and, eventually, her bed is a bit inexplicable, and I'm not sure the author really ever addresses this to my satisfaction, to be honest. Yes, she's lonely. But she really can't find ANY dates? She HAS to resort to picking up men off the bench outside her business?

3.5 stars. For a novella it was a good start to a series. You learn a little bit about Malcolm and his mate Francesca. You also get to learn a little bit about the Alley cats and some of their guys but by name only. You learn that they were bad and that they attacked another clan and got their asses kicked by them and their witches friends. The witches curse them to lose their cats and if they didn't find how to break the curse it would eventually kill them. Malcolm discovers the way to break the curse is to find his mate and it gets transformed from a cougar to a fire breathing lion. The reason why I gave it three and a half stars, was because I would have liked a little bit more information. Yes I know it was a short book and it was meant to set up the series of the Forecast but not really having a lot of background on Malcolm or Francesca kind of left me a little bit in the dark. I would have much preferred this book to be a full length book and have the story start with Malcolm making the decision to leave his bad family behind and they were bad they weren't nice. His brother Gash had ran away and now it was Malcolm's turn to run and leave. Unfortunately his past catches up with him and threatens his mate and that was the cause for him to change into what he was. Like I said I would like to see more background on Malcolm and maybe as an epilogue him reaching out to some of the members of his former family and help them with breaking the curse. I will definitely reading book one but first I'm going to read the second short novel on the two of them named Married and Bright.

I was first drawn to the cover which I felt was a really good one and when I read the Blurb I thought - well - usually I am not into short stories but as I was in the spirit for Christmas Love - I would give it a go. AND

Considering that short story really have a hard time getting decend ratings with me - this one did quite good ... ADDING

The Fact that I am pretty sure I would not have choosen the book if I had known what kind of paranormal "species" we were talking about - I think this book did extremely well.

Actually I am really considering if I need to change my oppinion on this specific genre. I might ask my Co-Blogger who is more into reading those what she thinks would be a suitable book for people like me to start with ... lets see...

Lovely Lovestory for "parnormal"-readers - just don't expect more depth than a shortstory can give.

Bright Spot For Two

Malcolm Frasier grabbed at my heart from the very beginning. His story was so honest and pure. He lived a rough life with a clan that was evil. And during one of their battles to punish one of their brothers, Gash, who faked his death to get out of their clutches because he wanted his freedom. ...There were consequences to that battle that left Malcolm and his family cursed by witches. They lost their animals and could not shift or heal.

Malcolm had fled the day of that unjust battle. He has been in hiding for eight months and his animal was resurfacing because of her, his bright spot. She was his mate. His broken animal led him to her. He had to dig deep for the courage to approach her. He lives in a shelter and he is very poor. He now only wants to heal himself for her.

Francesca has dealt with extreme tragedy in her life and she owns a trinket and flower shop. A man always would stand in the window and stare at her. She was not scared of him. He feels safe. She is lonely too. One day he developed the courage to walk into her shop.

This story makes you cry about both these great characters.

I would have loved Gash's new clan involved in this story. I also felt it needed an Epilogue to bring it all together.

Malcolm is a broken shifter due to a curse from his past. After leaving his old gang he voluntarily becomes homeless in hopes to be better than who he was and finds his mate Francesca who is human. Francesca had noticed the homeless man sleeping on the bench facing her store and when he finally approaches her she can’t help but be curious. He may be the answer to the void she’s been feeling.

Story started off strong. The initial meeting and Malcolm tryna get closer was adorkable and funny. I liked Malcolm and how hard he was on himself and his idea of saving pennies for candy canes just to have an excuse to see Francesca lol. I think I enjoyed it more cos the H was the one who didn’t really have his life together and had the sort-of embarrassing moments. The story kind of took a dip though… I just didn’t expect the steam to happen so soon? I mean yeah it’s a novella but the pacing really threw me off. Like how Francesca accepted the paranormal stuff overnight pretty easily? Um okay. Too much smut for me given the amount of actual content

This was one of those free books I picked up from one of the many books site's I'm a member of, and boy did I hit the jackpot on this!
P. Jameson's writing reminds me a lot of Tessa Bailey in the raw gut wrenching emotion she brings to her characters. I love that these stories take it one step further, there's not just emotion, but there is a darkness to her characters that makes it so much more devastating to be privy to their thoughts and feelings as they try and claw their way towards the light.

Follow the bright spot

Love will lead you to your brightest light. What a great short story and a great beginning to the firecat series. I wasn’t going to read the series because I didn’t like any of the ally cats when they were introduced in the Ouachita Mountain Cats series but I was intrigued to read All is Bright. Now I have to read the series to find out what happened to the rest of them. I have read several of P Jameson’s series and I have loved every book. Until next time y’all happy reading.

This festive novella is the prequel to a series but can easily be read without having read any other books in the series.

I found this one to be really absorbing and read it quickly. It tells the story of a man called Malcom, whose past is full of darkness and pain. He meets Francesca and things change.

If you enjoy shifter romance of a steamy variety then I'd say you'll like this book.
It's the first by this author but I will definitely read the next installment as I really enjoyed the writing, characters and the world building for this series.

The perfect Christmas story

I absolutely loved this book. When Malcom finally takes a chance, these two lost souls find each other and their path back to the light. They slowly, but surely fix the broken parts inside of each of them and start to build their own HEA. I hope there are more books to come I can’t believe (don’t want to believe) that all of Malcom’s old clan cannot be saved

Funny how holidays bring out the worst in people. Except, why couldn’t he have a drunk uncle or an aunt who accidentally flashed people instead of crude murdering assholes.

Malcom and Francesca's easy chemistry made this a fun read. I also acknowledge that if a real life friend let a homeless, former thug into her business and home, she needs an intervention, but if she feels the mate bond and is lonely at Christmas, it makes perfect sense in this paranormal romance.
