MR. RIGHT
At 35, Bobbie’s been kissed before, sure. But never like this....
Practical-minded property developer Roberta Powell finally has to admit her life is, well, lacking something. No problem, though. She’ll simply employ her sharply honed skills to find an appropriate husband: “the” man.
Eager to begin her search, she’ll attend to it right after a brief business trip to the Diamond T Ranch. But while there, she is blindsided—in the most tempting way.
Rugged, sexy rancher Reno Tanner is relentless in his pursuit of the visitor he finds both beautiful and perplexing. He promptly scatters Bobbie’s senses, riding roughshod over her best-laid plans.
The cowboy is clearly all wrong for her! So why does loving him feel so right?
Before I left writing for a while to work "in the real world," 2 of my romances were award-winners, the 3rd a bestseller. Down the road from there--2 times--I was named as a finalist in the Pillsbury Bake-Off. Now I'm back to my true calling, though: cooking up contemporary women's fiction with a healthy dose of humor! I loved writing THE COWGIRL TAKES HER MAN and then THE FARMER TAKES HIS WIFE, my latest title. Although both are standalone stories, they're part of a multi-book series set in a tiny, Texas Hill Country ranching community. And since all my novels are the polar opposite of, say, BEVERLY HILLS 90210, I wanted to come up with a series title that lets you know exactly what you're getting yourself into...without even a peek at the book's blurb. Thus, "BITTERPILL, TEXAS 78020." At the end of every one of my novels, I share a little-known, super-easy recipe with you. And at www.BarbaraCatlin.com you can read a BLOG about my experiences at the Bake-Off® Contest and get the winning recipes, as well. I hope you'll subscribe to my newsletter while you're there! In the meantime, happy reading....
Bobbie let out a slow, pleasurable sigh. “Well, Cowboy, there’s one thing you weren’t lying about. That was definitely the best I’ve ever had.”
That’s one of my favorite quote’s in this book. Truly a funny, heartwarming book that I’ll cherish forever.
The depth of the characters in this amazing book truly pulled me into their world. Mr. Right was phenomenally written and truly a fun stress-free book mixed with a little spicy deception, misunderstanding, and love that is worthy of being a Hallmark movie. Bobbie and Reno sent my heart soaring into total euphoric bliss. Kudos to Ms. Barbara Catlin for writing such an amazing book set down in my neck of the woods. Down south between Abilene & Ft. Worth, Texas. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a great book set on a Texas Ranch with true Texas grit, an adorable revelation dusted into the plot and sprinkled with cowboy charm.
Oh my goodness! I loved this story! This is my 3rd Barbara Catlin book and they just keep getting better and better. Every book I’ve read I’ve thought this is the best one! Then I read the next one and think no, this one is best! What can I say? I love them all and can’t pick a favorite. I hope you’ll read all her books and enjoy them as much as I did. Now, I have 2 more to reads! 😉😀
Barbara has such a fun way of telling a story, and all characters are on point with personality. Smooth pace of the book is great, and loved the lack of technology
Great romance. Loved the characters. Plot is interesting and unfolds smoothly. Easy to relate to theme. Would like a follow up, maybe fifteen years down the road, to learn how Reno and Bobbie's marriage has blossomed and how Jubilee has faired.
This is the second book I’ve read by Barbara Catlin and wow what a fantastic read. Roberta aka Bobbie is a successful businesswoman that owns her own company. She decides to arrive a few days early at the Diamond T Ranch, where she’s one of six giving proposals for a way to generate some needed income. She meets Reno and they both are attracted to each other. They don’t let on that she’s there to work or that he’s the owner. Bobbie is on a mission to meet Mr. Right! Will Reno’s secrets come between them? If you’re looking for a refreshing read that will have you laughing out loud, then I recommend this book. No spoilers, but you won’t be disappointed at the events in this book.

Can a seven year old girl teach a 35 year old woman to trust her heart and not her logical thinking mind? Roberts is looking for Mr. Right and along the way falls in love with a seven year old girl and her father but not before almost ruining it by trying to think everything through too logically. This is one of Barbara Catlin's best!
The story was good. I liked how the characters progressed, but my eBook had so many pages missing that it ruined any flow the story had! I was looking forward to reading this book. The missing pages were just beyond irritating and disappointing. Sigh.
