I love you. I’m here no matter what. Whatever it is that you need, you look to me to provide it. The past is over, the future is now. Let me save you. Let me have you. Allow me to be the person to make it all better. Give me your body. Give me your mind. Give me your heart… just let me have it all. If nothing else, I’ll be happy with you just giving me all you’ve got.
Uzoma Youngblood, the Cameroonian powerhouse has fallen and fallen hard. He’s loved before, but it cost him his heart. He’s given before, and it’s cost him his soul. Even with both of those things being of the utmost importance to who he is as a man, he’s not ready to give up yet.
He’s ready to love and to be loved. To be the man and the protector that Joc needs. Jocelynn, Joc, Waters, is the self-conscious and emotionally damaged woman who has caught Uzoma’s attention. Beautiful with a fun loving personality, she’s all that a man would want, the sad part is, she doesn’t know it.
So what are two people with troubled pasts going to do for each other? Love seems far away, and so does happiness, but with a passion and desire that’s determined to prosper, they win. They find love, they make it work, and they start a relationship that’s built to last, or at least built to last as long as their pasts stay a secret.
Zino has lived through one trial after the next. Being disappointed and let down time and time again. So when he meets Lonnie, his expectations are no different. Though he likes her and enjoys the time they spend together, he’s more than positive she’ll be like the rest.
With a wall around his heart, Zino not only rejects Lonnie, but he rejects the love and friendship she tries to give. With a heart of gold and a personality to match, Lonnie has become Zino’s favorite past time. However, that’s only during the time he actually allows her in.
She’s happy and ready to make his life better just by being herself, but that’s proving to be more than a struggle. Having dealt with her own share of grief and pain, shying away from Zino’s is not an option. With both of them having different interpretations of their relationship it's nearly impossible to give it all they’ve got.

Uzoma Youngblood where are you Boo?!?!?! Yes I am looking for him. The author did her thing on this spin-off. I truly loved it. Actually I liked this better than Heartbeat of the Block. Uzoma is that Dude. He is everything I need someone like him in real life. In this book he goes hard like a real man should. Then the ending about the Baby???? I was having heart trouble because I was this can't be life the way this book ended. Patiently waiting on book 2 like.......Until next time....Kisses
Didn't see that coming!!!!! Why would it be a question though, did I miss something, nah I couldn't. Zay has the writing skill to leave you with that omg look lol. I can't wait to see who bad what is going on and what will happen
Girl!!! That cliff hangar though!! I just KNEW she was gone snap on him for thinking the baby could have EVEN POSSIBLY been Promise's being that it had been some time since they last saw each other. I hope Zino gets his act together and let Lonnie show him what it means to have REAL love (seems like that's her story line) and helps him heal/mend from the past. Patiently waiting for the next book
A'Zayler never disappoints with her books. I wasn't expecting anything else than a love story. Uzoma and Joc are perfect together!! Can't wait to see what happens in part 2.
I love how developed the characters are; each of them are flawed and blend so well with the plot. I also appreciate the realism in their descriptions. The women were beautiful without being mixed with another race. I just love this series and cannot wait until it fully unfolds!
Really enjoyed the relationship between Uzoma and Joc in this one. I wanted more background on their stories though, I’m guessing they’d met in another one. This didn’t concentrate much on the other stories but it did leave you wondering what happened to get to this. A little backstory would’ve went well with this one.
Another great read by this author. I’ve recently discovered her and each book it gets better. Joc was getting on my nerves here and there. Especially at the end. I wonder why she didn’t just tell Uzoma about being with child. Hope it’s not by that punk Promise. Can’t wait to read the next part.
This book was just ok for me for numerous reasons. I felt like a lot of important details were left out and at times I feel like certain parts of the book were rushed. Not sure if I’m interested in part 2.
Wow Demoto and family i love them .....well written and entertaining...OUT FREAKING STANDING...loving Um he strong and confident and a real man love it
This was a cute story. I hate how Joc felt about herself because her ex but I also love the way Uzoma made her realize her true beauty. I love Zino and Lonnie ❤️
Glad that Zino finally grew up and recognized ehat he had with Lonnie. They are really great together. Uzoma and Joc are also a great compliment to each other. Nice catching up with the old crew too.
Uzoma is bae for real. it's unfortunate when you have to read a book that almost mirrors your life to understand your own toxic situation. I loved it (a little more than heartbeat of the block) and can't wait for the next part!
You did a great job. I love your work. Baby Zino and Lonnie know they come back lines were crazy. Her going off on him in the car about that candy was hilarious. Uzoma and Joc glad they had a happy ending.
This book was everything from beginning to end drama action intense couples up and down suspense puzzle revelation revealed well written enjoyed each couples happy for ending
