Sometimes you just want to be someone else. When life sucks, you just want to throw away the old you and start fresh.
For Iris Thompson, she did just that. With her life in a rut, she wanted to be wild for once in her life. So, when her best friend, Olivia, invited her to an art gala to have some fun, she stepped out, not as Iris but as Natasha, the carefree, charismatic, and charming young woman that steals the heart of the handsome billionaire Damien Flaherty.
Their daring relationship started hot and heavy in a stairwell but quickly falls apart at the seams.
With Iris forced to put on an act, guilt quickly consumes her. How long can she keep lying to the billionaire? To the man she has started to fall in love with? When he discovers her alter ego will her heart break yet again? Could Damien ever learn to love Iris or will the truth tear them apart?

Iris's behavior left my brain somewhat addled. I didn't understand her at all. One day she acted as if she couldn't cope with being cheated on by her fiancé, the next she became naughty and wild with a complete stranger.
Nevertheless, I partially enjoyed this short story. There was only one sex scene but it was so darn hot! I doubt if Damien and Iris didn’t already set the stairwell on fire!
The story was too short that I don’t know how to write a review without giving anything away; therefore, I will leave it at that.
By the way, this was a quick, hot, sexy, and fun read. And at the end of the book, I was left silently screaming in frustration…I want the next book now! When will it come out? Gosh, I can’t wait!
Iris moves into her friends apartment after a breakup , all she does is dwell in the past for the majority of the book .....It's a downer . When her friend has her go to a gallery Arts showing , she meets someone gives an alias name and it's a very quick get together and it ends abruptly . until the next chapter of the serial.
I see a lot of people basing their reviews on the sneak peek, which they thought was the full book but is actually only the first two chapters. If yours ends abruptly after a steamy sex scene at a stairwell, know you’ve got the preview and not the whole thing.
I think this book started out great with the whole sex adventure. I don’t think I would ever be able to do such thing, but I guess every girl can say she has at least fantasized about it at some point in her life. I also think it’s very sweet of Damien to give Iris some time to grow to be used to being around him, talking to him and all that after things got weird between them. On the other hand, I wish the author developed the depth of their relationship more. Include deeper dialogs about life experiences, aspirations, values and such. I believe that is crucial to make a love story plausible.
WELL WRITTEN BUT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND IRIS'S BEHAVIOUR.SHE IS MAD AT HER CHEATING EX-BOYFRIEND AND THEN SHE HAS SEX WITH A PERFECT STRANGER LEAVING HIM HER NUMBER UNDER A FALSE IDENTITY... ARE YOU IRIS A LITTLE CONFUSE, AREN'T YOU? WHAT A PITY BECAUSE THE BOOK HAS SOME BASIS BUT THE MINI - STORY IS DELEVOPED TOO QUICKLY WITHOUT ANY LOGICS
My Disclaimer: I was provided a complimentary copy of the first couple of chapters to this book. I am voluntarily providing an honest review in which all opinions are fully my own. I am not being compensated in any way.

My Review: ✰✰✰⭒ When I got this "book" I was under the impression it was the whole book until I got to the end. I wasn't happy to suddenly be out of book. Then, I read some of the reviews and one explained that there is a preview version and a complete version. Obviously, I had the preview version of the first couple of chapters. I'm in the process of trying to get the complete version because the preview version really startled me.
Iris starts out totally depressed and in the dumps at first. Can't even seem to get herself cleaned up and dressed, never mind make the effort to do something. Her roommate convinces her to go to an art gala with her. She meets a man and all of a sudden a switch in her head flips and she's decided she's in need of a wild sexual adventure and seduces the guy on the stairway at the art gala under an assumed name! End of preview.
Yes, so...
Both the in the dumps and sexual seductress are totally believable as written. Which one is the true Iris Thompson? Well, that's what I want to know! That's why I want to read the whole story! That's why I'm trying so hard to get my hands on a copy of Alter Ego! News at 11...
Iris was attending an art gala with her best friend Olivia, whose couch she was living on since her ex fiance took the house and the dog. She caught him cheating on her. Iris bumped into a gorgeous guy, and decided she needed some excitement and introduced herself as Natasha, a sexy bombshell. Damien followed her into the stairwell, where they had incredible sex. They went on a date and it was horrible. Iris was more depressed than before. She wanted a job teaching history at a college, but settled for working as a barista at a coffee shop. Damien finds her and starts hanging around close to closing every night. Will Iris admit the truth about her Natasha persona or will she just remain miserable, losing any chance at happiness with Damien?
After catching her fiancé cheating on her, Iris Thompson goes to stay with her friend Olivia. She talks Iris into going to an art gallery with her where Iris meets a good-looking man. Calling on her alter ego Natasha, she comes across as wickedly playful and Damien Flaherty loves it. He wants to see her again and she meets him at the boardwalk but she is unable to act as Natasha and they have nothing to say. Weeks later, she is working at a coffee shop and he comes in and calls her Natasha but she tells him he is mistaken as she is Iris. He starts coming to the shop every day and they talk and get to really know each other. He tells her he has to put on a different face in dealing with others at his job so he understands.
Headline: The public short version of this does not do it justice. You must get on her newsletter list so that you can get the full version and truly appreciate the amazing ness of Starla Harris. It was hot and sweet and I highly recommend reading it. Happy Reading!
I just wanted to smack Iris or ask her to go talk someone..... I knew this was a small/short story but it seemed that most of the story was choppy and they left to much of poor me left in.....
