Don’t believe everything the tabloids tell you about Indigo Belfrois. She may look like she’s the typical frivolous and shallow movie star—but that would be far from the truth. If you knew her—really knew her—you’d realize that she doesn’t just play the heroine in movies; she is a heroine in real life.
Keeping this double identity a secret from the world is imperative. Lives could be in danger if anyone found out what Indigo did while the cameras were not rolling. Unfortunately, she may have given a cute reporter reason to believe that she was more than just a silly socialite.
Caught between her desire to let someone in, and her need to keep those she cares about safe, Indigo must A chance for love, or a chance to change the world.

Meet Indigo, the sassy and sweet starlet. Hollywood’s little darling, Indigo Belfrois. Life isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. No. There are hidden heartaches, heartbreaks and secrets the press is willing to expose. Especially when the cute reporter seems genuine. There is no hiding for this girl!

The characters are witty, fresh, and alluring—I fell in love with them right away. Yes, including the diva, Indigo. She has a quick intelligence and is wholly believable. My head is still spinning that she’s only fictitious! She’s likable and I find her life rather fascinating. Julian is the reporter I’ve mentioned. He’s levelheaded and compassionate as well as analytical. No airhead greedy writer here!

There is more to this story than a simple socialite and a handsome journalist: The story’s tone changes completely by the second quarter of the book. Without giving away any details, I was disillusioned with the sudden feel, but because I like Indigo so much, I pressed forward. If only the summary of the book had mentioned even the slightest hint of this change, I would not have been jolted from the storyline. Admittedly, I had set the book down, but it called out to me and the situation eventually grew on me as the original feel of the novel remained woven throughout the book. It became an integral part of the plot.

There is a sequel, Azure, but it’s yet to be released and I look forward to reading that one as well.
Do I recommend this book to friends? Without a doubt!

This was an intricate, fast-paced story and I loved the characters. The plot kept things moving along and it makes for an excellent action/adventure hero saves the day book. Human trafficking breaks my heart, and this book did a great job of balancing between the horrors of human trafficking, while maintaining a palpable story with plenty of wit and humor mixed in to relieve the tension.
