Cole Clarke is a broken man, with a sham marriage and nowhere to turn. Allyn Anders is a self-proclaimed hermit, only straying from her apartment when she is forced to attend work meetings and when her best friend drags her out. When this pair has a chance encounter, sparks fly and there is undeniable attraction. Attraction that is impossible to resist. The morning after, Allyn discovers that Cole just happens to be the lead singer of the band that makes Maroon 5 look like child's play--Sunday Told A Secret is rocking their way across the country as they're wrapping up their first world tour. Cole returns home to L.A, infatuated with this other woman, only to discover that his alcoholic wife has started dappling in more than just booze. When he thinks his life is falling apart, Cole knows he can call on Ally. Are they able to make it work? Is Ally okay with being the other woman?
THE OTHER WOMAN is now part of a growing series, appropriate named The Sunday Series! This book can be read as a sexy standalone, or readers can choose to continue reading about more characters that played a pivotal role in this novel.
Noell Mosco is a 30-something-year-old who lives in Southwestern Pennsylvania, born and raised. A country girl at heart, she currently resides in Suburbia. Writing has been one of Noell's passions since she was young, completing her first "book" at eleven. Since then, she's always dreamed of becoming a best-selling author. Her full-time job as a physical therapist means she is compassionate, and it allows her to follow-up with her close-2nd biggest passion - traveling the world. Noell reluctantly admits to having a love of wine, though her poison of choice is generally tequila.
Cole is a typical looking bad boy covered it tattoos and is a musician in a famous band ! You would think he would have the perfect life, very good looking, rich and a wife that was his childhood sweetheart, right ?...completely wrong, his home life is far from perfect, his wife is an alcoholic who is cheating on him and he takes every opportunity he can to stay away from home, the love he had for his wife was long gone but he cant see a way out, divorcing her would mean she gets half of everything he has worked for and she didn't deserve that !
Allyn ( AKA Ally ) was a girl who liked to keep her self to herself and avoided people as much as possible, she read books for a living and could chose to do this most days from home which suited her perfect, if she could avoid any form of human being she would !
When Ally walks into a local pub the last thing she expected was to be having a one night stand with a very hot looking guy !! This isn't what Ally does but somehow she couldn't resist the charms of this mysterious man.
Cole had been trying to stay hidden after his latest show, all he wanted was a quiet few drinks were he wasn't recognized for being Cole Clarke famous musician for Sunday Told A Secret. What he didn't expect was the girl that just walked in the bar to bring him to his knees ! He was smitten immediately. Cole might of looked like he was a man that could any girl he wanted but he had always been faithful to his wife,,, until this night.
Both their lives were about to change and neither of them knew how to deal with all the emotions and the chaos it was going to cause, Ally comes from a simple life and she just cant deal with everything that is happening but doesn't know how she will live without Cole in her life after such a short time of knowing each other but Ally has to walk away, its too much for her.
Cole has completely fallen for Ally and is completely heart broken when Ally makes a decision that causes him to take action into his own hands, he has lost her but he isn't going down without a fight.
I absolutely loved this story right from the first few pages, its a real smitten at first sight love story, the sex scenes are off the wall and then some and there are a lot of them through out the book !! In a good one though obviously ! the characters are intense and so likable. The writing was perfect and the pace of the book worked really well and the flow of the story was great and kept you wanting more. Highly Recommend !
The Other Woman by Noell Mosco is one emotional gut wrenching story that I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed. Noell Mosco has given us a story about fining true love and romance that is quite flammable and the fire works that go off every time their near each other . This story will grab you from the very start and hold you until the very end, and then will leave you wanting more from this author. This story is about Cole Clark who's a world famous musician ,who should be on top of the world ,but he seems to be broken. Why because he's marries to an evil witch of the south ,and he refuses to do anything about it ,because he would lose half of his money to her. So one night after a concert he disappears and ends up in a bar ,where he comes face to face with the beautiful Allyn ,who all at once knocks him off his feet, she doesn't know who he is or what he does ,and he totally enjoys that fact and ends up going out with her for the night. And Wow what a hot and steamy night their have. But she just believes it's a one night stand . You see Allyn is a person who doesn't go out much unless her best friend comes and forces her out to have fun. But when Allyn learns who Cole really is and that he's marries , she agrees to go to one of his concerts ,where she plans to tell him off ! But Cole and her go on a journey together, and she soon realizes that he's nothing like the media portrays him to be. But the sweet Allyn still thinks that soon their time together will expire for them soon. But Cole doesn't share her thoughts ,so how will this turn out for them? I could tell you more about this great story, but that would spoil it for you. I highly recommend that you read this touching story, you won't be disappointed.
I loved this book!! I love Ally for several reasons, the first being her self-love and self-confidence at being a size 14. She loves her carbs, pizza and chocolate. I would love to see more female leads like this. She's also a book editor which would be a dream job for me. I don't want to give anything away but she's also brave enough to do what's best for her even if her heart doesn't agree.
I'm pretty sure that Cole is a unicorn! I couldn't be mad at him at all. I can't say more about him without giving anything away.
The book was so well written and the time jumps were a natural part of the story. I will definitely be reading book two!!
I always love finding new (to me) authors and this is one I will put on my list of must-reads for future releases. Love her writing style and couldn’t put the book down! I was a little concerned about the triangle when I read the title, because I never like reading about a cheater, but with Cole’s wife being so awful, I didn’t feel bad for her at all! This book is a great love story about two people who find each other and are meant to be together as they overcome different obstacles in the way. I can’t want to read more from this author!
I didn't think I would like this story... Come on it's about "coleslaw", you know " The Other Woman" as the title plainly says, only that's not what it's about at all. The story took a little to convince me. The female lead had me captured but our hero, well, I was iffy on him. I was a little put off by the skipping of certain parts in the book only for them to be explained later on... But other than that I enjoyed the story of Allyn (clever spelling) and Cole
A sweet read about love in the most unlikely place. A woman that hates people and a man that cannot escape them. I mean he is a rockstar. Did i mention he was married?
At first i didnt like Cole, but you know the saying, there is always more that meets the eye. His wife is crazyyy!! But not all is as it seems.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I began this book, I am not one to enjoy books about infidelity, but this book is well written and the story line eases you in, gets its hooks into you and it is well worth the read.
The characters have substance, the story is believable, I am hooked.
Insta love/lust. Tortured rock star, married but with an Evil woman (superficial, addict, and a cheater first) so everything make sense , right ? Well, it explains why I hated it.
Read in a day. Pleasantly surprised as this was bought on a whim at a local adult book fair. I have never read a novel from a local author. Well done. Enjoyed thoroughly!
Cole Clarke is a famous musician that should be on top of the world, but instead he's broken. He's living in a bad marriage that he refuses to do anything about, because he doesn't want to lose half of his money to the evil woman. So one night after a concert, he disappears to a small bar, when he comes face to face with Allyn, a woman that instantly knocks him for a loop. She has no idea who he is, and he finds that he likes that, so he goes home with her. They spend a super hot night together, but she believes that's all it is. Allyn Anders rarely goes out anywhere, so her best friend has to force her from time to time. She meets the hot Cole, but she knows it's a one night stand, but the next day, she learns that he's a famous musician, and married! So when her best friend tells her they are going to his concert, Allyn jumps at the chance to see Cole's band, and to tell him off. When she realizes that things aren't what the media portrays, she goes on a journey with the hot Cole, but still believing that they have an expiration date. Cole doesn't share this same sentiment, so how will he get her to see that he's serious about them?!
Every one of my dramatic girly girl emotions are out in spades, so forgive this fan girl gushing with some name calling thrown in for good measure! I LOVED every gut wrenching moment of this story, and I didn't want it to end. Allyn and Cole's chemistry was flammable, and the EXPLOSION that happened every time they are near each other, will destroy every pair of panties anywhere close by, so yes, I'm going to say commando is best for this story! The entertaining cast of secondaries were awesome in all of their hilarious moments, and I hope they get their own stories as well. Now, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Noell Mosco's brilliant writing style, and if I remember correctly, I added her to my list of authors trying to kill me in the past, but I really want to make my point here, she has flown up the list with the way she ended this story! And I must hash tag her #EVILWHORE forevermore, as she really messed with my emotions! That lead me to the twists that made my f-bomb dropping moments really big and LOUD! Remember I did warn you above that it would be some emotional gushing, but Noell Mosco, why would you want to mess with my emotions like that?! Anyway, I'm going to end this before I give things away in my emotional state, and just HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Other Woman to EVERYONE!
"..then he smiled. A huge genuine smile that gave me the clenchy and squishy feelings again."
I freaking love this cover!!!!!!! I fell in love with it way before reading the book!
Where do I start?! I love Noell's books! I love the characters and how invested I get into them! I love how real they feel!
I love Ally! I also love the fact that Ally is a bigger girl instead of a size 4! I love characters that I can relate to. She likes to keep to herself and she hates people but changes her mind long enough to take the sexy stranger home.
Cole is in a pretty much loveless marriage. He decides to go into this bar and sees her. He loves the fact that she doesn't know he's the lead singer of a pretty popular band Sunday Told A Secret. The chemistry between these two could set the book on fire!
"..and that's when I saw her. Blood stopped flowing through my veins and oxygen stuck in my lungs."
I feel so bad for Cole! Being stuck in a marriage with a woman who is essentially a drunk who doesn't really care for him. I hate Lydia. I didn't feel like Cole cheated at all after seeing the stuff he's put through with Lydia as a wife.
I could go on but I'm really bad at telling spoilers so I want to before I do!
This is a book you should read.. a book you need to read! If you want some nice steamy action with a tattooed singer.. read it!
From page one, this story pulled me and wouldn't let go. I love when I discover a new-to-me author and immediately fall in love with their writing.
Cole Clarke, famous musician, ducks out to a dive bar in a city he can't even remember the name of and meets a woman who immediately grabs his attention. Allyn Anders, book editor, is a self-proclaimed hermit and hater of people. After the instant attraction she has with Cole, she steps out of her comfort zone and brings him home. What follows is a relationship built on an amazing connection and chemistry. There's just one problem: Cole is married. Will Ally be ok with being a cliche other woman?
Love triangles and cheating in romance novels can be hit or miss. Everything about this story was a hit. Cole's reasons for not leaving his wife are understandable, even though his wife might be the absolute worst person in the world. While Cole has not loved his wife for quite some time, he's faithful to her until he meets Ally. I went into this story thinking rock star so likely a revolving door of a mattress. I was so pleasantly surprised to find that Cole was nothing like I thought he was going to be. Ally obviously struggled with her role in Cole's life and marriage and that made her so much more relatable as a character. This book and these characters were so beautifully written. I couldn't stop reading once I started but this was so worth the sleep deprivation it caused.
I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I started reading this book. I just knew I loved Noell's writing! I will tell you I wasn't expecting what I read, not at all. Cole and Ally have a chance meeting and things just explode afterwards. Things aren't always as they seem, we know this but never really believe it until we get the whole picture. And that's the case with Cole. It takes Ally some time to realize exactly what is going on and even then she isn't sure what to do. I mean come on, can you blame her? Cole is a hot rockstar and lives on the road. Ally does decide that's not the life she wants. She has a certain way of living and Cole is messing all that up. Cole has his own stuff to sort out but never forgets his time spent with Ally After time spent together and time spent apart Cole fights one last fight. I loved every word of this book and didn't want it to end.
Never judge a book by its title. If you think this is about a woman trying to steal a man, you'd be wrong. Although Cole Clarke is married, all is not what appears it to be. He's a broken man living a broken life despite being a musician in the hottest band around.
It's when he meets Allyn (Ally) Anders he's thrown off balance. He's not sure what he's feeling because it's been so long since he felt anything, especially towards a woman. He's not normally a cheater despite the band's reputation so these feelings he has causes him to question everything.
When Ally finds out he's famous and married she decides she's going to tell him exactly what she thinks of him. Only when she tries to tell him off, she realizes he's not the cheating man she was lead to believe.
This was a really good book and I can't wait to read about the other band members.
Why are men such idiots!!I'm just venting because the turmoil, anguish and delayed satisfaction I was put thru reading this book. It was hard to put down. Why did I wait so long to read, I have no damn idea but I want more!!
Merged review:
Once I started to read, I knew I had to finish it
I was captivated by the time I finished Chapter 1. I could not stop reading until the end. This book made me believe in second chances and HEA even in the darkest moments of your life.
The Other Woman is a wonderfully sexy read. I don't usually read rockstars, but Cole and Ally's story is was a fantastic change of pace for me. It tugged at my heartstrings and it was tough to put down.
By the title of this book, you might get the impression it is about a cheater having an affair. Do yourself a favor and put aside your preconceived notions based on the title and read this story it is WONDERFUL!! Noell Mosco is a hidden gem in the writing community. Her real woman and fabulous rock star men have me devouring her stories and swooning to be the female character. 5 stars!! Keep feeding my hunger Ms. Mosco!
This is the first book I've read by the author. I'm so glad I had the chance. I've been missing out! Obviously the title of the story gives you a bit of insight. But it keeps you guessing what your going to read on the pages following. I was caught off guard with this book. It's nothing less then amazing. And a breath of fresh air in the rock star genre. This story follows Ally, a book editor and a super popular Rock star, Cole. Absolutely crazy, insane, off the charts mayhem in this amazing book. But that's not all, the super hot scenes in here are 5 star flame worthy. The band mates are such fun characters. It's hard not to fall in love with every character. I don't want to give too much away. Grab this book! I know I couldn't put it down until I was finished. 5/5 stars A T&A Book Blog
