On the eve of their usual family holiday get-together, 12-year old Max Prophet has a mystery on his hands. This mystery threatens to ruin the Christmas holiday. It seems his entire family and his pet dog has fallen under some sort of spell from which they cannot awaken. Max summons the only person he feels he can trust in the whole wide world to get to the bottom of this mystery - his cousin, Logan. His cousin has a reputation for not only solving problems, but also for relishing a challenge, and for never turning away from adventure.
