Lemmi and her friends are relaxing as much as anyone can in the falling down farmhouse they call home when something shatters their world. A ghost? A troll? Paws actually being quiet? No, it's their friend Liam and he has big news. There's a town ribbon-cutting competition, and fame and glory are on the line. To make matters worse, Lemmi almost gets in an accident when a murdered ghost cuts across her path. To top it all off, Jasper's grandfather hates Lemmi with a passion - and she has no idea why. If Lemmi thought she was having fun before, what is she having now?!
Hello! I'm the author of the Witch Way to Mintwood series and the Spooky Business series! I live in New England and love it. I survive the winter by layering, good-natured complaining, and more layering. In case you were wondering. Hearing from readers is always lovely, so come visit me here:
A fun cozy mystery series with all the comforting ingredients: small town, likable characters, a ghost cat, budding/forbidden/improbable romances, justice/closure for the deceased or loved ones, unreliable car/cell service for added complications (a neat way to have a modern mystery but without modern conveniences), a coffee shop and more. Easy read. One criticism is that it doesn’t fully stand on its own, meaning you need to read the first book first to fully understand the characters and underlying plot of how Lemmi (main character) came to be in this small town and why she does what she does. But overall, it’s a fun series that I will continue with.
Same as with the first book. Nice people, cute story, fluff and then it happened. I actually found myself looking forward to the next book to find out how everyone’s life will continue. Maybe it was the friendship between all the characters and the innocent and charming way they solved their small town’s mysteries. Not sure how long that will be enough to keep reading but for now it’s nice enough
This series is really enjoyable with lost of twist and turns.
Lemmi has her hands full being the new witch of Mintwood. She is just warming up to her job of helping the ghosts find closure. She is realizing she needs to find out what other magic she has especially when faced with so many mysteries and ghosts.
Once again Lemme and her friends come through for those in need. Paws is a hoot as the grouch (or so he tries to act). Addison paints Mint wood as a lovely little town to visit. I can almost smell the coffee wafting out of the coffee shop while strolling down Main Street.
I think I'm warming up better to the idea of Jasper and Lemmi being a good match for each other. I liked the book it was a good fun short read, I'm going to read the third one because I like the murder mysteries.
This series has proven to be fun and exciting. Crazy character and blooming romance. Can’t wait for the next in the series to come out. I highly recommend you read them for yourselves and have fun doing it.
This is an interesting read, i do find i have a lot of questions, regarding the witch part of the storyline hence the 4 stars, but it is well written with well developed characters. I would recommend anyone who likes cosy mysteries read it.
Characters with realistic personalities and unusual mysteries to solve. Old family animosity and curious situations. If you're looking forward to reading a light hearted mystery this is a good one.
Lemme still doesn't use magic, but she helps any ghost she comes across. With her two best friends and Paws she is slowly becoming comfortable with her job as the Witch of Mintwood. I highly recommend this book.
I found 9 mistakes in this book. Works left out, wrong words, words added that shouldn’t have been these. For example, one spot the word was agreed and is should’ve been agree. Please try to proofread very carefully before a book is published. Thank you
Same characters, more mysteries and fun! Looking forward to next installment. Can't wait to find out about Lemmi and the ongoing feud with Wolf family.
This story was really engaging and fun to read. I just wish that the author had a better beta reader to catch the grammar and sequence errors. Always willing to help.
Lemmi and her friends are back to solve another mystery. This time, a 25 year old cold case. This series is so cute and easy to read and I'm really enjoying it. My one major complaint with this one is that I do wish Paws was a bigger part of this book because that sassy ghost cat is my favorite character. I can't wait to see what mischief and mysteries the gang get up to in the next one.
Although I found the writing style to be somewhat juvenile it doesn't detract from it being quite an interesting and enjoyable story, good characters and a fun storyline certainly help, Baz.
This was another light and quick read, maybe even a little slow but certainly lacking in details. As another reviewer said, I hope the author will actually fill in some of the blanks and maybe develop the characters a little more. I'm still not necessarily drawn to any of them except maybe Paws.
Really enjoying this series, has everything needed to hold my interest and keep me wanting more - how the budding romances develop and watching the Witch of Mintwood come into her own.
I really enjoyed the second book in the Witch of Mintwood series. The main characters are very likable and make a fun, mystery solving trio. Lemmi, the main character, is learning more about her abilities interacting with ghosts as well as helping them solve problems from their pasts. The town of Mintwood has a host of colorful and entertaining support characters that make each visit to Mintwood a treat!
The book is very well written, I enjoyed the plot and loved the grumpy cat. I would recommend this book to all my friends as they love ghosts, mysteries with a good plot that keeps them guessing.
I like the characters and the storyline. The ghosts are good especially the cat, Paws. Will definitely keep my eyes open. For another book from the author.
