Silently Falling

Rate this book
After one horrific night in ninth grade, Raine Winter lost her voice and became the known mute.

After one game changing event, West Love got sent to juvie and became the town's delinquent.

With the traumatizing night that stole her voice still plaguing Raine's mind, she was never able to get her voice back. She learned sign language to communicate, and her brother and closest friends learned it along with her. She became accustomed to the style and the reputation, until the towns infamous bad boy delinquent came back to school. He's cocky, mysterious, and undoubtedly sexy.

He found an interest in Raine, but not just because of her lack of a voice. He has no trouble annoying her to death with his constant smirks and flirtatious attitude, but will he have trouble making her fall for him?

Fate has a funny way of bringing people together, but it doesn't always work how it's supposed to.

Fucking hate this book!! I don't know what has happened to wattpad readers for encouraging such a disgusting book.

The h is fucking RAPED and loses her voice for half of the book and what I see? She fucking hands over her baby to her rapist in the end and forgive him? Like seriously?

Is the author encouraging rape by giving out that it is okay to forgive the rapist once he realizes his mistake and can just go on with day to day life as if nothing happened!!
I was so fucking pissed when I read this book, just ruined my entire day.

And the authors writing style, don't even let me get starting with that!!

The female is atleast at seven to eight different places in a single chapter and is always right!! Her friends are right, her brother is right, her ex boyfriend is right oh yes and even her rapist is right in her eyes, because he regrets it!!

Oh did I forget to mention that, once the Male lead comes, the rapist tries to rape the h for second time too and guess what she just tells the male lead not to do anything, why? Because she was scared to do anything because according to her, she doesn't have enough proof to prove she is right!!

The male lead was okayish, not a player or a manwhore, technically he was the only decent person in the book.

Whereas the h was all rounder, was good in studies, plays great piano, is freaking rich, have an ex boyfriend that still is attracted to her, have a rapist who wanders around her as if nothing happened, has a lover from her friend circle but doesn't tell her, and then the male lead. Technically, she is loved by EVERYONE. There is not a single hater of her except for the cliche OW who is behind the Hero.

Totally waste of time!!

I personally loved this book. In this book, Raine, a mute, is perfectly okay with how her life is going so far. Except for the fact that her mother is dead, her father is never there, and she was assaulted. She has her groups of friends, then West Love comes along. The high school ¨delinquent¨. He uses sign language as an excuse to hang out with Raine. Throughout the book, Raine learns to trust West. She meets his mom and little brother and learns the real reason why he was sent to juvie. Eventually, she falls for him.

I personally loved this story. It is deep and emotional; and made me want to cry at some parts but also made me laugh. I would recommend this book to anyone who has good taste in books and loves romance and trauma genre. Not saying that I love trauma, I hate it. It's just this book is beautiful and the way it is written - how the character deals with her trauma and falls in love - is just amazing. This book had me hooked from the beginning till the end. I loved the humour, friendship, drama and romance.

This novel was beautifully written. From reading a few comments below, I am to understand that this is a newly edited version. She has completely rewritten it. I have not and will not read the first one because this one was beautiful. It shows the heartbreaking reality of what can happen in a single horrific moment. The MC is brutally attacked by someone she thought she could trust. It flashes forward three years after the incident, and you see how she is trying to move on from what has happened.

I think this is a great read and it sheds light on a topic that people seem to shy away from...yes, rape is a heinous act, and it's something that is uncomfortable to talk about or even think about, but it allows readers who might have been in this situation themselves to see that they are not alone and hopefully gives them the hope that their lives will start to become better as well.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the MC's character development! The MC at the very end of the novel finds the strength to confront her attacker, to call him out on what he had done to her. Even though it ends with us not knowing where that particular matter ends, it leads us to believe that it will be brought up to the courts again (because he does unfortunately attack her for a second time).

This is my favorite I have ever read on Wattpad and nothing can ever change my mind. Many people think that the amount of slut shaming in the story is wrong and the name calling is wrong but to be honest it’s the same as any other school in real life. I’m not saying that girls are actually like this cause they’re not but sometimes we do tend to judge. People also think the book is disgusting because of what happened to the main character but it’s something that happens in real life. And the author is in no way trying to romanticize it but it’s just apart of the story line. And the main character does tend to forgive but I don’t that it should be looked at badly and should be a reason as to why one should not read it. The story line and the love story of it is amazing and it can be funny at times too. I have read every single one of the stories this author has read and have loved all of them but this is definitely my favorite she’s written

EDIT
3.5 stars.
Upon thinking more about this story I've remembered something very problematic within the story and shall be lowering my rating down to just 3.5 stars.
The amount of slut-shaming in the first half of this book is unbelievable. Every girl (that wasn't Raine's best friend) was a "slut", or "blonde bimbo". Her brother and guy friend (who slept with every girl they could) were just "players" she never once made them seem bad while all the other girl were. It's terrible.

4.75 stars.
I have no words... I just... the ending... and romance.. and West... I just can't. It was amazing and beautiful. I lOVED it.
Does anyone know where just can purchase a West.
I had to knock off a .25 because the author added a few words in there that she said Raine "signed" that actually don't have signs for them like 'Netflix'. But other then that it seemed like she did her research on the language.

this book is sooooo gooddd!!
i have already read many books in wattpad to find the best romance book to read and finally i found you;*

it has a unique character, Raine Winter (what a good name), becomes mute because of her being raped in her 9th grade. And finally she meets West Love (I love his name!) a deliquent who just came out of juvie because of something he did in the past.

There are Raine's bestfriend Alyse, her brother Toby, and her brother's bestfriends Tyler and Grey.

I love the plot about how Raine's get her voice back, what things West did in the past that caused him to go to juvie, and then love story between their cycle.

But, the book has flawless. It gets boring in the last chapters, it just gets few problems which is I dont really like. And about the 'baby' it has something odd about it and it makes the book do not have 5 ratings from me.

By the way, I love West so much, he is the perfect guy in the love story.

I believe (really, really hope) that the ending I first read got edited out because that first ending when she forgave -and I'm not talking about forgiveness for peace of mind, im talking like smiling at him and more shit- the rapist ruined the whole book for me. If I remember correctly, I reread it after it was edited, and I hope I'm correct in remembering that that shit got edited out.
This is actually one of the wattpad books I could go back and reread without cringing and questioning my life choices.
But if I remember incorrectly and that shit ending is still there, then just stop reading before the epilogue and pretend it doesn't exist because what the fuck.

Edit: the shit ending is gone! So now I can say that it is a great read!

Wow this book was cute!! The characters were so different and yet I couldn't help but love each one of them. The plot of this was different than any usual romance book. It was filled with major and shocking twists, but they all somehow could continuously handle it all. West and Raine are absolutely adorable and I love how they got to know each other under the circumstances of Raine being mute. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves development and a great original story!

This was a very cute story. A very good one for wattpad.
Aside from some grammar and spelling errors, some inconsistencies and cliches this was a nice, fun and fast read.
Sure it had some difficult content, but I liked that it didn't overwhelm the entire story.
So I would recommend it for a summer read.

//Read on Wattpad//

I have to say that after all this time I am on Wattpad, this one was one of the books that I just couldn't stop reading.

Emotional story, full of compassion, love and forgiveness.

It is a little YA and there were times where I was confused (basically about heroine's age) but I loved it nonetheless.

I see bad reviews on here and the story that they're talking about is no where close to one that I read, so I'll just assume it's because I read the edited version. and it was BEAUTIFUL.

West is the loml.

To be fair this is your average 'innocent good girl falls in love with the renowned bad boy' but with a slight twist to it that makes it unique so you won't be too bored of it
