I unexpectedly received a copy of Don't Tell the Bridesmaid, along with the previous two installment to this series, complete with a book makeover and matching covers (which makes bloggers very happy) and although I wanted to dive in straight away I just never found the time, but a week off work left me with lots of free time, which meant I could finally pick this book up.
I did take review notes for this book, if somewhat very brief, but I can't find them anywhere (notepads, iPad, or phone) so this is going to be a very short review with lots of feelings and thoughts, and very little detail about what happens.
Anna is going on a school trip to Rome, unfortunately her boyfriend can't attend as he has to work on his comic strip, so Anna finds herself in Rome with her friends and enemies. But whilst there Anna is away from her family, and is finding out second hand information about her Marianne and her boyfriend, and some unhelpful information from Josie which has Anna worried over her fathers relationship.
Starting Don't Tell the Bridesmaid made me remember how much I enjoy this series, it's guaranteed to make me laugh every time, and I just really love how clueless/hilarious/clumsy Anna is. I liked the progression of this book, both as part of the series but also as it's own story. We finally get to see whether the wedding of the year goes ahead or not, and the end of a series, but we also see Anna change in some ways by the time the last page is turned. I loved exploring Rome with her and I would love to visit there at some point in time.
Final Verdict The It Girl series is a must read for fans of Geek Girl, and although I have loved this series I am sad to see it end. Don't Tell the Bridesmaid ends the series on a funny note with some surprises too.
I read this straight after Team Awkward, and it was just as much of a delight. In this final instalment, Anna heads off to Rome on a school trip as her father`s wedding to superstar Helena Montaine. This book was just as funny as the others (I won`t spoil my highlights for you, but they involve Dog, and the other was certainly unexpected, but a welcome addition). I loved the scenes in Rome where we learnt about the city especially, as well as the other snippets of knowledge included. The characters continued to be exceptionally funny, and I loved them all (even Anna`s rivals grew on me!), and I was so happy with the way their story ended (particularly who Anna ended up with…). I can`t wait to start Katy`s new series, hopefully much sooner than I got to this one! 4.5/5
i really liked this book - it is the best one in the series. i would recommend this book for people slightly younger than me. it was a mix of genres. i was very happy that anna broke up with connor and ended up with james

Argh - so I'm all trying to process the mixed feelings caused by this book. I still loved the series overall, I adore the narrative style and the characters. But the ending...I think a proper review is needed for me to explain this.
JAMES TYNDALE the man you are…. I LOVE LOVE Jess and Anna’s relationship in this book and the friend group they created with Stephanie and Connor and I felt like he was being a bit left out however nobody’s really interested with his random facts in Italy. The water exported from Italy made me laugh, I love how Sophie and Josie the queen bees and her minion develops a more friendly connection with Anna.
SPOILERS- the gargoyle scene just omg omg with scaring Josie, the dynamic in this book is almost perfect however I felt like Connor and Anna’s relationship was too dragged on however the relief when in the wedding they finally talked to each other. Katy made me fill with anxiety as I thought they would have to encounter each awkwardly with the wedding.
THE DRESSES HELLO?!!! Why do I feel like it was ignored how Anna’s mum and Helena is the same person in different font of popularities. I mean Anna’s dad definitely has a type. Dog is my fav character and how Anna tries to personify dog as someone is adorable.
And the way Katy foreshadows how James is obsessed w Anna like hello, he forced her to run with him in the summer and helped her to confront her step sister’s boyfriend. BTW that was so ionic. Marianne should have at least told her family where she was with more obvious note. Anyways this book is my childhood favourite and this is my 4 th time reading this… 4/5 stars!!! for not introducing more snippets of James and Anna. Any thoughts on Brendan and Sophie?? Would they go on double dates w James n Anna . I wish there was another book with 2 IT GIRLS UNDER A HOUSE. A paparazzi dream and my dream as well.

A great third book. Its so refreshing to find an up and coming author who can consistently write great books; so many book series trail off but NOT this one. The third instalment is just as good as the first. New ideas, new jokes, and a really refreshing different plot line. I really hope there are many more books as I don't want Anna's adventures to stop.
Another great novel !!! I’m so glad of the relationship growth in this one. The story line was amazing and as per usual absolutely hilarious. I can’t wait to read the it girl in rome
