A moving love story that touched both my heart and my funny bone. Some great laugh-out-loud moments in unexpected places.
Jade has Sawyer pegged the second she lays eyes on him and she refuses to be hoodwinked by that easy-going Buchanan charm...or so she thinks. And, truth be told, he didn't make a great first impression on me either. Too suave and sure of himself when it comes to women. But then I got to know him and discovered that he just plain ol' likes women. And respects them. And appreciates them. He knows his world is a better place because of the women in it...and he'd like to include Jade in that circle.
But she's definitely prejudiced thanks to a few misconceptions. It was fun watching Sawyer pick away at her cool reserve, one aloof layer at a time. But, man, did he ever have to work hard! I was exhausted for him. And for Jade who had to work so hard at keeping her distance. Talk about wasted energy!
Emotionally charged scenes are balanced by snappy dialogue and droll wit. The perfect recipe for a summer romance read.

This is the fourth book in the Buchanon Series. I really enjoyed this book; it's well written, intriguing, and humorous. You are really going to love this one. Linda's an awesome story teller.
Buchanon Built Construction has being having sabotage on some of the homes they have built in the last two years. Now the threats have escalated and are singling out Sawyer Buchanon. Who could be after him and what he could have done? Although some may see him as a player Sawyer s a good Christian man, a man of integrity. Is a woman stalker even a possibility? He's against getting a PI but he is intrigued and drawn to the the lovely detective.
Private Investigator Jade Warren has been hired to find out who is harassing the Buchanons. Unknown to the Buchanon she has a history with the family. She has been raised to hate all the Buchanons; they were the reason for all her fathers problems. Jade is divorced from a player that is much like Sawyer. A man that was wonderful until they married; then she found out he was more abusive than her father had been. The more she gets to know Sawyer the more confused she becomes. The Buchanons are nothing like she has been led to believe. Was her family the ones who are harassing them?

Definitely a feel good,’quick read. I always turn to the Love Inspired books for a feel good pick me up. In this installment of the Buchanan series we meet Jade and Sawyer. I loved how their relationship built up and how Jade was able to overcome her mistrust to fall in love. The crime and stalker plot added a good amount of interest and intrigue to the story that flowed nicely.
One of my few complaints of love inspired stories is typically the unrealistic timeline that most the stories stick to. However this one was vague enough on timelines that it didn’t bother me that much. I did find that I got a little exasperated with them not knowing who the stalker was and I had figured it out pretty quickly. But other than being a bit predictable for me it was enjoyable.

Lone Star Bachelor by Linda Goodnight "The Buchanons" Series. Sawyer Buchanon has escalating threats against him and his families construction business. Sawyer's dad hires Jade Warren a private investigator to find out who is behind the threats. Jade has secrets of her own. The Buchanons filed a law suit against her father's cement company, for not good quality material and work, years ago. Warren is Jade's ex married name. Jade does not trust men. They were surprised when they found out who was behind the threats. Jade's life was in danger also. A very good read.

Overcoming the past
I enjoyed Sawyer's story. He's challenged by the female PI his father hires to figure out the mystery behind the damage to Buchanan properties. Little does anyone know that her father has a grudge against the Buchanan's so she comes into the job with a chip on her shoulder but Sawyer's patient and honest nature wins her over. Will they figure out who the stalker is before it's too late?

This, the last of the series, wraps up the whole on a good note. There’s just the right mix of all the things that make for a great story, and the identity of the vandal is a complete shock. I rarely give 5 stars, but this book deserves every one of them.

Too many unanswered questions - like how did the bad woman get a drop on her and tie her up.

I just really enjoyed this story...it was well written with lots of compassion and true faith...with God's help, anything is possible!!!...Highly recommend...
