Good book for any Indian who has at least heard god stories from Grandma....
what author has successfully achieved and would like to thank him for, is he created a way for psychoanalysis for reader who don't want western doctrine of psychology.... I will definitely encourage everyone who want self help books to give it a try. One of the best thing is the precise and short structure of all the chapters .......
Nice book, quick read. This book helps you understand corporate culture and people's perception. Reading the chapter will help you create a rapport in your communication. It is also one of a kind management book that gives examples with tales like Mahabharata and Ramayana.
Not new to Devdutt's style of writing, I expected nothing less. He is very articulated in his thoughts and conveys the same in a very lucid way. I always enjoy his fusion between the old knowledge contributing to the new world order.
He's knowledgeable knows his subject matter researches thoroughly and what comes from all the hard work is phenomenal. Really good examples to understand ourselves and our perception of life around us. Thank you for your writing.
The book could have been written a lot differently .It was an easy read and some of the points were really good. but It had lot of reference to hindu mythology which became quiet difficult for me to understand.
The book does complete justice to The title of the book . You will be able to connect with one or the other protagonist from the fables. Once you have identified yourself, go back and tar at least that story twice. You will understand what it means by "learning from other's mistake'
Author has in 33 paged referred about different eras and very beautiful explained this concept. It talks about that how we realizing and understanding can free ourselves from the agony of being undertood/misunderstood
