Black & Blue 2: A Domestic Violence Love Story

Rate this book
Ayesha and Jai are still going through it. Even though Ayesha knows that she should leave him, she doesn’t know how to break up their family. The last thing she wants is for Jai to act out on his threats. With his threats hanging over her head, she reluctantly moves back into the house with Jai. She prays that things will change in their relationship and that she made the right decision to return. However, things go from bad to worse.

Black has been trying his best to keep Ayesha safe, but that is something that is really hard to do when the person you want to keep safe fights you every step of the way. He and Jai get into a physical altercation in the hospital that leaves them both scarred. But, if Black thought beating up on Jai was enough to make him keep his hands to himself, he was wrong. That only added fuel to the fire, leaving Ayesha even more helpless than before.

When Jai threatens to kidnap the children, Ayesha sends the kids and her parents to visit her cousin Duncan and Aunt Lena in Houston. However. Duncan is going through his own issues with Drusilla and Jenna. Jenna is now pregnant for Duncan, but hasn’t told him yet. What will happen when she does finally tell him? Will he do what she expects him to do and leave Drusilla or will she forgive him and work things out? Will Jenna get the happily ever after she so desperately wants to have or will Duncan try to work things out with Drusilla?

Find out who will be happy and who will have their world crash around them as you follow these two couples and the havoc that are wrecking their lives…

This book pulled me in even more than book 1. Definitely wasn't expecting such a tragedy to occur, reading all the dysfunction and the result it led to tugged at my heart strings. I just couldn't imagine... Still yet another book in the series and I'm wondering what else could be in store.

I had a feeling this conclusion would be gripping but I did not imagine to this extent. Very well written. I started this book late at night & did not put it down til I completed it. While Black & Blue was an emotional story to read, it was one that needed to be told. It was good that Duncan resolved his problem. Once again, I thought Lady Lissa did a great job presenting these stories & what happens in these situations. Great read!

wow what a good follow up to book one, domestic abuse is horrible, but the ending to this book was just shocking! I wanted to cry and scream at the same time but I liked how it all wrapped up each character.

Sad

Its so sad to know Jai 's childhood of growing up watching his mom being a victim of domestic violence caused him to be so anger to the point he could take 3 lives ... Domestic violence is real and needs to be treated

Great Read

All women should read this book. It is so devastating to read a book about an abusive man who is so sick that he deliberately drowns his kids to punish the mother. Not only did he kill the kids, but his pregnant girlfriend too . Can some blame be placed on the woman who continues living with a horribly abusive man and refuses to accept advice or counseling ?

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Reading this part gave me a better understanding of part 1. This book was very emotional. Jai was just too much. He really did the most especially close to the end. Black was everything, he was definitely a knight in shining armor. My heart went out to Ayesha. At first I thought she was dumb because she had ways out, she just didn't use her resources. But then you never really know the thinking process of someone dealing with domestic violence. Druscilla was something else, she was like her mother. I liked Jenna, I just didn't like her actions although they worked out for her in the end. Duncan was too nice of a guy. I really liked his character also. This is a good book and I highly recommend it if you or someone you know is dealing with domestic violence.

Heartbreaking

It brung me to tears when Jai drowned his children! I couldn't believe it. Those poor babies didn't deserve that! And Ayesha, I could only imagine her pain, plus Jai also beat Nadia to death while she's carrying his child! Domestic Violence is the no. 1 violent death. I can relate but for the grace of god not to the extent of what Ayesha went through. I'm glad that Duncan removed himself from his toxic relationship with Cruella. She's another one who needs anger management classes. To the women and men who are in a domestic violence relationship, please get help especially if your children is involved, my heart goes out to the victims.

Heartbroken

As a survivor of both physical and verbal abuse, I can really relate to this storyline. It brought back a lot of bad memories and I couldn't stop my tears. Luckily I made it out alive, but my heart hurts for all those who are currently going through. I pray that they find the strength to get out just like I did. Fear will keep you in trapped in that type of situation if you let it. The way things ended broke my heart but there is a lesson to be learned from all of this. There is help out there, please get help if you need it, before it's too late.

I felt chills as this story came to it's end. Poor Nadine what a tragedy. My heart ached for Ayesha the entire story & had me literally yelling at her!!!! I was happy that Royal's life turn out for the better. I really wanted to hate Jai but, I realized he seriously had a problem that couldn't be resolved without professional help. so I hate the things his character did and not the man. Rashad was a true blessing. Domestic violence is such a serious issue whether it's physical or mental! A real eye opener!!!

I can't not believe he did that. Omg I teared up for real. I really felt bad for Ayesha. That was a tough pill to swallow, and to find out you still carrying this NIG@# child.. Oh no...

Women be aware

This book touched me very deeply I been there and I cannot stress enough to women and these young teen age girls that it is not okay for a man or woman to put there hands on you in any case I suggest that all women and men to read this series .women never and I mean never let a man tell you that it is your faut why they beat you if you would of just kept your mouth shut if you would have not said anything the food is cold its your fault ,once a man hits you they will continue this is when he needs help and believe me you can't help them they need professional help .myself I stayed in the relationship because I was afraid to leave my abuser beat me so bad broke almost every bone in my body tied me to a beam in a big industrial garage and set the garage on fire . This lady here telling her story is a brave woman it took me yeas to heal thank you for sharing your story

Heartless

Black & Blue 2: A Domestic Violence Love Story is interesting read. This author did a good. It’s heartbreaking, physical, abuse and mental.

It’s difficult for me to reading this book because it’s sad and hurtful. What’s kind a person did some evil for himself? What’s kind a person doesn’t show his loyalty and love those people who care about him. Jai is a cold blood and evil. I felt bad for Duncan and Ayesha. They have been through their relationship with Jai and Du.

Rashad is my favorite character in this book. He’s a wonderful and good friend to Ayesha.

Good Read

WOW

This story literally brought tears to my eyes. Jai was one evil bastard. He didn't care about what he was putting the people in his life through because he was too selfish. Nadia should have taken heed after the first incident and walked away. It was a shame how she ended up. Ayesha went through hell. If only she would have listened to her family and friend's. It could of possibly alleviate the heartache. However I was floored at the lengths Jai went through to hurt her. No one deserves such pain.

Wow this was a sad read

How could a father kill his babies like that? I hope Jai gets his karma for what he did I was glad that Ayesha finally decided to leave him but at what cost. Those kids didn't deserve that all bc he couldn't keep his hands to himself. This was a truly sad read bc innocent children got caught up . I hope Ayesha finds her happily ever after with Black. I can't wait to read the final to c if Jan got his krama

That Dam Jai

I really loved this book. Omg you just never know what a person is going through. I wish Ayesha was stronger as well as Duncan. Now Jenna was a lil sneaky something but I guess it worked out in her favor. Hopefully Black and Ayesha will end up together as well as Duncan and Jenna. Druscilla still needs to get dealt with.

So sad

I am happy that Duncan find the courage to let go this abusive woman !!!! Jenna wins and boy was I pleased . Jai what can I say about this character , so evil and confused at the same time . It’s so sad that the kids had to pay . All the signs where there and A decided to just ignored them living behind excuses . Hopefully Black will help her to regain some strength

Dang Jai

I’m mad that he did that to them babies all because he wanted to hurt Aleysia. I despise men who beat on women n because he can’t get her they do something to the kids. I’m glad Black was there to help her because I think she would of killed herself. That’s good for Jai n that he will be in prison the rest of his life.

Too sad

This was not the outcome that I expected, but it's still a reality. Domestic violence is a tragedy that too many people live with daily. I hope this book motivates anyone in this situation to get help to escape. Well done, though sad.

Drowning in Tears

I just can't understand, once Queena got away from Jai, the first time , why she just didn't go back. Jai was a monster from the beginning and he just kept getting worse. The results were 4 deaths. One hit, get away and never go back.
