This is my review and how I see it. This was a good read, l love reading Serena Simpson paranormal alien books. Damon, I believe it the fifth brother of Dante's brothers (I could be wrong). Damon is the healer of this group and he as been looking into why he and his brothers have a level of darkness within them and why The Darkness comes for them when they find their mates. Damon is really not in a hurry to find his mate only to have The Darkness take her and him.
That Dante. He knows everything and has a hand in a lot of it. River, Damon's mate, is a BBW. She has some insecurities about herself, some due to the things have happend in her past. When we first meet River, she is being held captive and tortured by an alien captive. She escapes as he is moving her by falling from the hovercraft carrying her to an unknown destination. She is originally found by Dante who then sends Damon on a quest.
In this story, Aran and family make an appearance. Damon and River have their battle with the darkness and for all appearances they lose, but all is not is what it seems.
This book is for anyone who loves a good story of good conquering evil with a twist.

Talk about walking through fire...Damon and River were tested and tortured over and over! There was another evil being after River in addition to the Darkness.
Would they make it, or would they falter and lose themselves?
Another amazing story of the A'rouk brothers. This series is mesmerizing, it will bewitch and beguile you from beginning to end!

I loved this story. River and Damon made my heart happy. The story-line/plot is fantastic and the storytelling is fabulous. The only reason this book isn't a five star read for me is that there are several editing issues that pulled me out of the story. Fabulous storytelling Serena Simpson!
NOTE: You should definitely read the Love me Harder series before this one, as it introduces the main characters in this series and the peripheral characters as well. Additionally, be sure to read this series in order otherwise you'll miss the over-arching story line.

Too complex world, it's quite hard to keep up and honestly I did not feel inclined to do so.
