I write action/adventure fiction with a definite proclivity towards Sword & Sorcery. I like magicians, but I'm less partial to unicorns, dragons, elves and dwarves. But give me a hero with a magic sword and I'll make him sing... Wait, I already have!

I've published a number of works under the CasiePress imprint and there are more to come.

I'm an older guy (Guy!), married and all my kids have grown up and given me grandkids to dote over. I've read thousands of books and found that in most cases, I'd rather write than read.

More politics, some moral questions, new spells and new friends. I am not sure about the Truth Spell though. If it is not clear whether it was applied (as mind magic is not seen to most magicians) why the magicians are so careful not to use it? I seem to miss something.

Paul bocomes more and more powerful and finds that it is easier and easier to kill. He closes the issues with his family (more or less) and leaves to a new location for new adventures (ok, he kinda has to leave and the adventures find him, not the other way round)

Exciting YA series

I've just finished book 3 of the series. Book 3 picked up where Book 2 left off. New characters were added. This is normal for an adventure series. I also liked the fact that the book maintained the main characters perspective and did not flip from scene to scene from another point of view. I do enjoy books of that style but such sophistication was not necessary for this tale. The only drawback is that the book could use more thorough editing. I gave it 5-stars for the thoughtful magic system and world building. What's not to like about Antibe's Poldon Fairfield? I recommend this story for fantasy readers 8 years old and up. I look forward to the next book in this series.

Antibes is a good man I'd enjoy knowing.

Continuing mesmerizing action, intrigue, and action among developing characters

Still no crude language, graphic passion scenes, grisly and gory descriptions, or other things that so badly detract from other author's work.

Honestly, not enough good things to say about this marvelous series. The main character is extremely compelling are so are the supporting cast, including well-drawn new ones in this third installment. Even the mostly-evil supporting cast, while not compelling, are believable and important to the plot. Speaking of which, Guy Antibes is a superb plotter, as well as world-builder. The magic system is wonderful. I love his writing style.

I was so lucky to discover these after several were published, so that I don't have to wait. Highly recommended to all!

1.5 No one is more disappointed than I concerning in the rapid decline of this series. I really think that this series had something special but everything has been thrown away to make Pol an ultra powerful MC.

Also I hate the trope of women instantly hating each other because they fear that the other may be competition for a man.

I will not be continuing this series. The threads that I was interested in has been cut and burned and I have no further interest in following Pol on his journey.

The continuing adventures of Pol Cissert. Pol has already moved beyond Deftnis and now travels and works for the Emperor. He has been commanded to infiltrate the Tesna monastery in order to find out what is happening in there.
He is joined by a Sister from Shinkya. Shira disguised as another acolyte at Tesna find the mystery that threatens the Empire. Pol and Shira must then deal with an invasion on North Salvan. The constant action on the series is very satisfying.

I was disappointed with Pols character in this book, he complained too many times, he forgot the lessons he learned from Mauldon and Val, He kept revealing things about himself to others easily. He was too forgiving towards his old family even after the way the treated him and his mother, Amona was the only one he should've befriended and forgave. He keeps feeling sorry for himself.

Entertaining Read

Pol, as a seeker for the Emperor, infiltrates the monastery and it's army. Battle, rescue, escape, reunion, and magic ensue. I like the action, humor, intrigue, and romance. I look forward to the next book.

Good story!

Another good story by the author, I'm enjoying this series a lot. The characters are believable and show the width of human behavior.
