With Lillie away at a sleepover, Marcus and Tyler finally have some much needed time alone together. Marcus can't wait to get Tyler into bed. He has plans that involve getting and staying naked. But an innocent question from Lillie has Marcus wondering if he's ready to take that next big step.
Felice Stevens writes romance because what is better than people falling in love? Her favorite part of a romance novel is that first kiss…sigh. She loves creating stories of hopes and dreams and happily ever afters. Her stories are character-driven, rich with the sights, sounds and flavors of New York City and filled with men who are sometimes deeply flawed but always real.
Felice writes M/M romance because she believes that everyone deserves a happily ever after. Having traveled all over the world, she can safely say that the universal language that unites people is love. Felice has written in a variety of sub-genres, including contemporary, paranormal and has a mystery series as well.
Felice is a two-time Lambda Literary Award nominee and the Lambda award-winner for Best Gay Romance for her book, The Ghost and Charlie Muir, as well as the e-Lit gold medal winner in romance for Broken Silence.
A Holiday to Remember is book #3.2 in The Breakfast Club series by Felice Stevens. This is available both individually and as part of the series box set. This is more of a little novelette involving Marcus, Tyler and little Lillie.
Since I’ve read this entire series up until this point, I’m emotionally invested in these characters. I love them all. Marcus was such a player early on in the series until he met Tyler and Tyler’s niece, Lillie. Never in a million years had Marcus ever thought he’d be father material. But his love for Lillie knows no bounds. He would do anything for her.
Marcus and Tyler’s lives have been so busy and with a nearly five year old in the house, their private time is minimal at best. Lillie is away for the night and Marcus has big plans for he and Tyler. Unexpectedly, though, his love for Tyler makes him worry that he still can’t be enough for this wonderful man. That he won’t be a good father to Lillie. Is he ready to take the next natural step in their relationship? Is he ready to make Tyler and Lillie his in every way? This Christmas is definitely about the be one they will never forget!
As much as I love The Breakfast Club series, I’m going to be honest and say this short story did nothing for me. A part of it is that I’m not the biggest lover of short stories to begin with, another part is that the couple in this story are my least favourite from the series, but the biggest part is that this story adds nothing to the series.
For people who enjoy a nice little extra, a bonus little story, this is great. It’s a little catch up, providing an insight into their lives, but for me it didn’t do anything. I was indifferent the entire time, and it didn’t add anything to my understanding of their lives.
I’m in the minority with this view, though, and I accept that. I think A Holiday to Remember just wasn’t for me.
What a lovely little holiday treat for lovers of the Breakfast Club and Marcus in particular. Marcus and Tyler haven't had much time together lately what with work and rehearsals and Lillie. Although neither is complaining - they're both really happy that things have worked out for them - it would be nice if there were more hours in the day so that they could see each other more. As the holidays and Lillie's birthday are approaching, Marcus is even a little more stressed out than usual. But there are plans afoot ;) It's nice to have Zach and Julian pop up in this story as well, but really this is about Tyler and Marcus and the relationship they have built over the past year and what it means for the future.
So adorable! I just love these two. Thanks Felice for this sweet and spicy story ;)
Very sweet, heartfelt holiday story. I haven't read any of the other books in the series that this one is a part of, so I didn't know any of the backstory between Marcus and Tyler but I didn't really feel too lost. But now I so want to go back and read all the other books to meet the all the guys! A lot of emotion was packed into not a lot of pages and I really felt the turmoil Marcus was going through. I really enjoyed this short story!
Because this is Marcus and Tyler and Lillie. And everything about them is perfect. I have no idea how many time I read this book, honestly. Loved, loved this one a lot!
This is another novella for the Breakfast club series. In this novella we go back to Marcus and Tyler. They are having a night together alone with Lillie at a sleepover. One innocent question has Marcus thinking hard. Wondering if he is ready for the next step. I love Lillie she definitely keeps Marcus on his toes. The biggest player in the group is the one who ends up a parent. This book is super short.
This is one of my favorite series of books and only stumbled onto this short by mistake after seeing a GR thread about it. Marcus and Tyler get an alone night after Lille is having a sleepover with 10 of her friends away from home. It was good to reconnect with these 2 and a lovely ending. Just hoping therre might be another short, or maybe longer book with covers the wedding.
The Breakfast Club series is one of my favorites. I love these characters. It was awesome watching Marcus finally fall in love in Second to None. Tyler is his perfect mate. And Lillie is such a doll! This was the perfect holiday treat!
It could have been longer to include the conversation between Austin and Tyler and also have included the wedding itself. 15 and 3/4 pages is just too short.
A Holiday to Remember by F. Stevens is a short story in the Breakfast Club Series. Marcus and Tyler are happily dads to Lilly, but when she's away on a sleepover both enjoy their me time. A great read, sweet, touching, hot. 4,5 stars.
Ooh. Very hot, very sweet! Marcus and Tyler are off the charts hot together. Their night with just the two of them is exactly what they needed. And who knew you could do sleepovers at an American Girl store?
This short story made left me with a smile on my face. Marcus and Tyler's connection keeps on growing stronger as is their chemistry. Marcus and Tyler still remain my favorite couple and although I loved they HFN I can’t wait until they finally achieve they HEA.
What a delicious little holiday tale for Marcus and Tyler. It may be short but it's jam packed with emotion, sexiness, and family, all the things we've come to expect from Felice Stevens.
I loved this simple sweet story. It was set during the holiday season but could have taken place at any time. Friends and family allow one of their own the time and space to make a momentous discovery that will change many lives. Just wonderful.
I absolutely loved this book. I loved getting some more of Marcus and Tyler and of course little Lillie's story❤. This is such a sweet fast read. I had this book read in an hour. This is a must read!
Felice Stevens is always a solid source of perfect balanced stories and this piece is no exception. I was so thrilled when I heard about a short story with Marcus, Tyler and the sweet, adorable and saccarine sweet Lillie, our Lillie-bug. <3
This story maybe hasn't this much action because it's a short story but it is full of charming character you love and I couldn't stop smiling. Lillie is a really charming girl, getting more and more independet, it's sweet to see how she and Marcus get along and what she wishes for the relationship.
The short story would be a bit boring without tension so there is a bit of it... but the way how it is displayed and what it means of the character is real and honest. You can totally understand Marcus' struggles, his hesitation and also Tyler's worries are unterstandable...
As always: 5 out of 5 stars. I am sooooo in love. *^* I LOVE the couples of the Breakfast Club series and I adore this book.
Note: This book is free on amazon, so no worries in grabbing this great short story. You should know the story to understand the actions though. :)
What a sweet and sexy glimpse into the domesticated life of Marcus and his dancer boyfriend, Tyler. They've both been bogged down with their hectic work schedules and raising Lilly, Tyler's five-year-old niece. Re-evaluating his priorities, Marcus realizes that there's no other life he'd want other than the one he has! Thanks, Felice!
