Brobag, captain and owner of the Big ‘Uns, is in trouble. His lacklustre orc team has never won a single match, they’re running out of money, and they’re on the verge of being relegated. A local invitational gives him the opportunity to change the team’s fortunes, but there’s one big problem – they have to fight their way past all the other challengers, then play the Reikland Reavers, one of the most famous Blood Bowl teams in the Empire! There’s just one option left to Brobag – bend the rules big time (and hope he can keep his pet squig under control).

Read it because
Cheating is obviously an integral part of playing Blood Bowl, but even by the game's standards, Brobag's plan to (literall) improve the fortunes of the Big 'Uns is audacious…

Good to read a bit of Blood Bowl from the greenskin perspective for a change and those sneaky greenskins certainly came out on top.

The first story I've read from Mr. Andy Hall, and day 23 of Black Library's Advent Calendar takes us back into the world of Blood Bowl! This time, we follow a new Orc team that's having a string of bad luck, and there's a job they can do that some folks promise will turn things around.
The story as a whole was entertaining, but I think the author struggled a little bit with some of the dialogue and a few points in the story took the dive from silly to a little dumb. That said, it was still full of laughs, and more Blood Bowl action than you could ask for!

White Dwarf alumnus Andy Hall’s first story for Black Library, this is jam-packed with treats for old-school Blood Bowl fans, from legendary commentators Jim and Bob to some familiar names on the Reavers’ team sheet.

A stupid story, stupid characters and stupid antagonists... and utter hillarious from the begining to the end!
I remember my first few games of blood bowl, borowing a friends orks while he took controll of the Reikland Reavers. Led by the famous Griff Oberwald. And how he time annd time again pummeled my poor greenskins into the dirt, or just ran past with the bloody ball.
Reading this story gave me a warm and hapy feeling of revenge.
