Aaron and a small group of family gathered in the chapel to say goodbye to his father. As the others left, his anger and grief finally poured out. He vowed that he would take the family back to their land that they were driven from by the tyrant, Aiden, the leader of their former dragon clan. He shouldn’t have to sneak back to spread his father’s ashes! His close friend, Kate, also driven from the land by Aiden’s tyranny, tried to talk sense into Aaron and calm him, but he could not let it go anymore.
How will Aaron handle the coming confrontation with Aiden? Will he prevail or will his family be destroyed? And what about the growing relationship between him and Kate?
This is a continuation of the Exiled Dragons series. It is action-packed with a great storyline. The characters are well developed and likeable. It’s engaging and holds your interest from the start, intrigue, twists and turns keeping the reader moving eagerly through the pages. I definitely recommend this book. An awesome read!
As part of a promotion, I received a free copy of Sarah J. Stone's supernatural romance, Loved by a Dragon. It is the third book in the Exiled Dragons series. I had not read the first two books, but there is sufficient backfill to quickly catch up to the simple plot. Aiden, a dragon shifter, must return home to revenge his father's death and rid the homeland of an evil ruler. While in hiding, he meets and falls in love with Kate, a childhood friend. Though the sex scenes are steamy, the characters are not well developed and the dialog is contrived. I also thought the story was skimpy on conflict and the ending too neat.
If you are looking for a quick simple read, you might enjoy this story.
I really enjoyed having another Dragon shifter series to begin reading! The characters are well developed and like able. I hated to put it down till I was finished. Fast moving and filled with twists and turns. I plan on reading much more from this talented author and would easily recommend these to any of my friends who love dragons!
Oh boy, this is absolutely not getting better at all. The worst thing is, that now I feel obligated to finish this series, even though I really, really don't want to. At least the books are short? I'll finish the first "batch" of five books in this series which are connected to each other, and then I'm totally taking a break from this. Ugh.
Really would give 4.5...I love the series and the fact that the storyline is unique. My only issue with this book was the fact that young, untried, or tested Aaron was prepared to fight older, more devious Aiden in a matter of a week or so. Older, stronger Owen trained for months with Connor, but wasn't yet capable of dealing with him? The rest of the story was well done. The suspense and excitement carried on through the book. Great read!
I must say I didn't see this coming. This self-contained book of the series and yet a self-contained story. If you do read in order then what happens in this book will be a big surprise. This brave love and hate, a battle and friend as well as enemy's. Well written and very entertaining story to read.
This book was as entertaining as the first. Just as well written and thought through. Mrs. Stone has a wonderful hit on her hands with this series. I am so ready for the next book. Ready to see what happens next.
This story is about Aaron and Kate. I warn you it starts on a somber note. One that brought a tear to my eyes, so have the tissues ready. They have known each other since they where kids. But when they were young, after Kate’s dad passed away her mom took her and fled. As the dragon ruler was and evil beast. And had plans for Kate’s Mom. Plans that Kate’s Mom was going to make sure never happened. Years later when Aaron’s dad decides to flee as well they were reunited. But Aaron's dad is dyeing and had to confess to Owen what there ruler did to Owens dad. The true ruler of the clan. Now Aaron cannot take it anymore, it is time to rid the world of Aiden. He must pay for all he has done. And maybe with the right help he can rid the world of their ruler.
Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it when you do; they value your opinions too.
Emotional roller coaster!!!! Aaron's whole world is dark, filled with anger and grief over the death of his father he vowed to filled one promise. In walks Kate, she bring bring light into a once dark world. Hold on paranormal lovers, because Ms Stone will leave you on a high with this shifter romance. After saying goodbye to his father, Aaron vowed that he would take his family back to their home land. The only problem is it is controlled by a tyrant. The question becomes can Aaron control his anger and grief to keep to his family safe? Who is Kate ? The twists and turns in this book, will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end. Great read !!! I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review ( volunteer)
Well written dragon shifter story of Aaron needing to take over as leader , no matter the cost as Aiden the current keader has committed to many vileacts to count. Kate his best friend since childhood and his chisen mate is of course terrified of what could happen as Aiden is known to cheat in order to win at any cost. If you like paranormal romance , set in modern times, but still following the ancient ways of the dragon shifters , you should adore this book by Sarah J. Stone , she mixes modern cell phones will old fashioned banshments and makes it work. 4⭐'s I recieved a gifted copy and am voluntarily choosing to leave an honest and unbiased review.
Great series here! I'm enjoying the well written sex scenes as well as all the detail this author puts into every scene. It feels as though I am there with the characters, even during flight scenes! I'm growing fonder of the many members of their community as I read more of them in each story.
As an independent reviewer for Romance Authors that Rock, this episode gets four fully beating hearts for a suspenseful and exciting storyline.
I received this free book and this is my review. What a awesome ending to this series!! OMG the battle was exciting! Arron and Kate are such wonderful characters that you really root for them. All of characters from the series are in this one and it's great to find out what happens to the clan. I loved this series!!
This is the 3rd book in the Dragon series where Aaron and Kate fight not only for their love but for their clan. Hopefully their love will keep them together but they know it may end with them being torn apart. I really didn't want to put this book down as it's full of all you need for another great read. I received this from the author and this is my honest unbiased review.
amazing.. so much amazing.. this was wonderful and lovely.. It is action packed.. fast moving and keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what is next. I loved it and am so glad i got to review it
Once again another great story. Finally the tyrant has been challenged. Hope there is more about these dragons Loved it Voluntarily reviewed this advance
I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I would say that his book is better than the first two but after it seemed like the book was going to end, it just went on and on. Also, there were a couple of instances of name switches, Owen where Aaron should be and Emily where Kate should be so that threw me off.
I’m still loving the sense of time the author has going and I really enjoyed the fact that Aaron and Kate were childhood friends and gave the readers that cute, funny little flashback that was also important for the plot.
I am also still loving the covers but I will admit that the covers lead me to believe that the story inside would be epic but it was a bit of a let down. The pace for the plot was great until near the end when it just seemed to drag a bit.
I would recommend this to adults who enjoy fantasy and romance.
