One Piece, Vol. 37 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next eleven chapters (347–357) of the on-going manga series.
This tankōbon continues the Water Seven Arc. The Straw Hats arrive on the scene and find Nico Robin with Cipher Pol Number 9 (CP9). Although she claims to want nothing more to do with the Straw Hat Pirates, Monkey D. Luffy and company attack CP9 so that they can talk to her.
They are quickly defeated, and CP9 departs to look for Franky. As the Aqua Laguna approaches, Franky has given Usopp and the Going Merry shelter. Soon enough CP9 arrives looking for Franky and his blueprints. Because his teacher, entrusted him with the blueprints years earlier, and forfeited his own life to insure Pluton never fell into the government's hands, and thus refuses to reveal their location.
This tankōbon is written and illustrated by Eiichirō Oda. For the most part, it is written and illustrated rather well. The plot thickens as Cipher Pol Number 9 desperately searches for the blueprints of Pluton and would do anything to get their hands on it – even fighting the Straw Hat Pirates, which they defeat rather easily. Pluton is a huge and highly advanced warship capable of mass destruction – something that CP9 and the World Government that they work for rather interested in.
All in all, One Piece, Vol. 37 is a wonderful continuation to a series that seems really intriguing and I can't wait to read more.
