She was told to fear him...
She was told that his evil would devour her...
She was told to stay far away...
But what if they were all wrong?
What if the Cold Prince could love?
What if he loved her?

Anya is born with a gift that only the royal families of the Ice Clan possess: White Fire, a power colder than ice that can destroy anything in its path. It is the most powerful force that can be wielded by man - one that can stop the Fire Clan from winning a ten year war against their nation.

But it is rumored that this gift comes with consequences. It is a power known to lead a man into darkness...

When Anya is sent to the castle to train as a warrior along with three others, she finds out how difficult life will be. Especially with the bone-chilling Cold Prince training her, and a King who has taken a special liking to her. But there is a darkness in the castle ready to devour anything in its path, and Anya quickly learns who she can and can't trust within the walls of Ice and Despair...

The story was Aaaamazing!!!

You initially start with Anya standing there in the royal court trying to figure out her future. While the prince glares at her, the king gives a somewhat lewd look. It starts to make you feel as if it was a mistake.

But be patient. Turn a few chapters through the story and you start becoming engrossed. You actually feel connected to Anya, toiling under the steel, cold gaze and supervision of the Prince.

Why is she singled out the most? Not because he has feelings for her, which do develop eventually, mind you, but because her gift is extraordinary. Something no other white fire weilder possesses. As Anya emboldens slowly, she discovers secrets of the Prince and gains his confidences.

As love blooms in heart of ice, a traitor is hell bent on destroying everything they held dear. He means to overtake the lands and crown himself ruler. They must work together to unfurl the deep mystery that coils to spring in their faces and protect their near and dear ones.

Theoughout the story, you are drawn deeper and deeper into the midst of what's really happening. You find yourself working on the riddle almost as ceaselessly as Anya and the Prince. No clues till the very end. And you are left with your "frosted" breath just held back to uncover this lecherous character. Who wins and what happens....the tale has more to give and readers, more to take!!

I wasn't expecting much from a Watty, but come on. It was Watty of the Year. And it contained enough typos to completely fill another book. Aside from simple typos, however, the writing itself was atrocious. Many sentences were grammatically incorrect, and even when they weren't, they just felt immature or out of place. At times, they were just unintentionally downright hilarious:

His words hit me like a thousand birds falling from a polluted sky.

Well, at least it was an original simile.

Also, what's with the two continents being called Fireland and Iceland? Did the author not invest more than two seconds of thought into her worldbuilding? Even the "Land of Ice" and the "Land of Fire" would have been better--at least then, I wouldn't break out laughing everytime I read "the Prince of Iceland" 💀.

The writing, however, wasn't my biggest problem. The real problem was the love interest (the Prince). He terribly mistreated the MC from the very beginning and has shown little to no redeemable traits aside from the "occasional" kindness which should really just be called common decency. Of course, he had a tragic backstory as an excuse for his actions (in addition to apparently wanting to "prepare the MC" or something), but it wasn't really logical. I don't understand why toxic relationships are so beloved by Watty readers but oh, well. After reading this monstrosity, I'm not touching that website for a few months.
