Excellent read! This book is biblical, practical, and readable. Whether someone is struggling with faith, searching for God, with a weak or growing faith—there is something for each one. I hope we will buy these in quantities to give to our first time guests in worship.

"Financial peace has nothing to do with how you can earn it; it has everything to do with how much you spend. Or to put it another way, financial peace has nothing to do with how much you make and everything to do with how much you use to what you make.

You may be earning more money right now than you ever thought you would, and yet still be under crushing financial strain."

This cover says the forward was by R. Paul Earl, but the forward in my copy was by Dave Rieck, pastor of the Willows First United Methodist Church, who happens to be a friend of mine. I started reading this at the forward (of course), and was really moved by what Dave had to say--especially that part about his calling to be a pastor coming from God, not from a denomination. As I went through the book, I underlined a lot that "spoke" to my heart--something I rarely do. I could think of a dozen people I thought this book would bless and/or help. That dozen could easily expand to a hundred or so. My pockets aren't that deep, so I guess I'll have to be content with loaning it out, one person at a time, hopefully with God's leading as to who gets it next.

This book would make a great Bible study or book club reading material. Available from Amazon.

I received a free copy of the book from Dave Rieck, who said it was unimportant to him if I reviewed it or not. My opinions, as always, are mine alone and not influenced by anyone else's opinion or coercing.

Scriptural backing, and it covers a wide range of topics. Reading doesn't seem to be shallow, but when covering so many topics, there's really only opportunity for broad strokes of truth. Good enough for it's purpose.

Simple and direct but honest and comforting. A few typos but otherwise well done.
