(Excerpt from The Omega Rescue: Book One Unlawfully Claimed)
“W-what’s it l-l-like?” Spencer asked, his black eyes wide.
“It’s great.” Thane smiled at the small Omega. “We need to find all of you your perfect match.” He grinned broadly at me.
“I-I-I don’t think there’s an Alpha for me.” Spencer shook his head, a tenuous smile on his face. “I-I better keep l-l-looking for a job.”

Spencer’s story begins….

Max had begun trying to sell me off as breeding stock almost immediately after taking control and was willing to foist me off on anyone who even sniffed in my direction. To his ongoing irritation, as soon as I opened my mouth to speak, all interested parties had turned tail and run. One particularly unkind Alpha had paused in his flight long enough to compare conversing with me to a battery acid mange dip - and then gone on to tell Max that he would prefer the dip.

Unable to send me to the Omega auction – they wouldn't accept faulty merchandise – Max had found an alternative that in his mind solved all of our problems. It got me off the pack's teat and found me a home - of sorts. The fact that it meant me agreeing to go into service as a prostitute didn't seem to bother him at all. That was what had brought him to our shanty that evening. If I couldn't find a mate in the next week, I’d be shipped off to Howling Hank's Whore House. Classy name, huh?

Somehow Max must have gotten wind of our plan to thwart him because while Mom was at work the next day, he came to visit me. He wasn’t alone.

"Spencer?” The stranger greeted me, holding his hand out. "I'm Jack.”

I nodded and tried to make my split lip pull up into a smile, wondering if Max had found another Alpha for me to try to impress. I scented the air, but I didn't smell Alpha. In fact, I didn’t smell anything. I shook his hand and jerked back at a sharp pain in my wrist. I didn't even have time to question what had happened before the room began to spin. Then, everything went dark.

That hit the cracktastic shifter spot!

Spencer’s story was one I was eager to read from the moment the shy, stuttering Omega wolf made his introduction on page a few books back. I just knew from those small glimpses that he would be a character I would adore, and I’ll admit that I rushed my way through a couple of the previous books just to reach his story. I’m glad to say it was so very worth it.

The love story between Spencer and his Alpha dragon prince Harry was fast-paced, romantic and hot as hell. I couldn’t help but devour their story in record time, and I’m certain it will be one of those books I will revisit whenever in need of some fluffy comfort goodness.

Aside from the gooey-sweet romance (nomnomnom), I also enjoyed the story arc that followed Harry and Spencer back to Dragon territory. With Harry’s kingdom in shambles and in urgent need of someone decent to step up and right some wrongs, Harry and Spencer tried their darnedest to restore the kingdom to its former glory. Along the way they faced some tricky situations that impacted their relationship, including attempted assassinations on Harry’s life and even condemnation of their interspecies relationship from those (assholes) that should have been on their side – I’m looking at you Cian, you uncharacteristically vicious bastard (WTF was up with that?!). Thankfully, Harry and Spencer received a lot of help and support along the way from old and new friends alike, making this another enjoyable story, featuring a full cast of wonderful shifter characters that keep me coming back for more.

There is no doubt that Harry and Spencer’s story has been my favourite of the series thus far and I look forward to seeing what Rhodes does with a few of the newer characters in future stories.

Loved the storyline in this one because it’s quite different from the previous installations in the series. I love how cute Spencer is when he’s stammering and how he found his dragon Prince Charming in a most unexpected way. I also love Harry and how protective and caring he is. Although unlikely and a bit unrealistically, I’m also very glad that the dragon king was able to accept Spencer and Harry’s relationship so easily.

The only complaint I have is why Cian had to be hateful and insulting in this novel. It was VERY unlikely. He was very loving, polite, sweet and omega-y in his own novel so why on earth would he change overnight? I not only think the scene he spat hateful words to Spencer was unnecessary but it also made that chapter ugly. If that scene had not included, I’d give this book 4 stars.

Overall 3.5 stars

Editing issues aside, this is a nice addition to the series. I loved Harry and Spencer, and though I was hoping for some mpreg and a little disappointed I didn't get it here, I thought they worked really well together once they begin communicating with each other and not going off half-cocked.

I was also hoping for more resolutions to few things before the end (what happened to the dragonlets, the uncle, Cian's attitude?) but I suppose those questions might be answered in the next story.

3 stars, cause I really liked Harry and Spencer!

They were maybe the best MCs in this series after Clint and Trevor.

I had a WTF moment with Cian and there are a lot of unresolved issues (The dragonlets? Uncle Sneazy? The uprising? Harry's abduction?) but, all in all, I enjoyed this read.

Sweet

Spencer wesn't expected to get a mate with his stammering problem. He has had it rough but now he is happy working at the library. Harry remembers Spencer from the rescue in previous books and knows that he is the one. I love the magic in this story and the sweetness these males show to each other. I am so glad that Harry's family has been captured but it doesn't seem possible for humans to keep dragons under lock and key. Overall another wonderful story in this series.

Awww, so romantic. LOL - truly this series is like candy, sometimes it's a little too sweet but I still want more. It's also like a soothing balm to my tired, stressed out brain - you don't have to think too hard to enjoy it.

Buyer beware - you cannot stop after just one!

This was book 2 in "The Omega Rescue" This book was difficult to read because of the blue font. Spencer's old alpha sold him to Jack the guy from previous books who was kidnapping Omega's because of his shuddering he couldn't be sold at the auction. Harry is an alpha dragon shifter who is also a virgin and he likes Spencer. This was a good read I love reading this series. The sex scenes were good. I also liked hearing about the other characters from this series. When news comes from his home Harry admits that he is a prince. With his home in turmoil it is up to Spencer to get Harry to see that he has to help his people. Harry and Cian get into it when Harry refuses to leave Spencer. There was a lot going on in this book. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling I did have issues with the blue font. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Stuttering Omega wolf thrust into royal draconic intrigue

Another simple but entertaining enough omegaverse story by Kian Rhodes. The writing is still pretty basic, but this installment was overlayed with a large political plot. While not particularly engrossing, it was actually a nice, simplistic diversion for me on a really bad day, which is my opinion of the series in general. I guess, overall, it's a nicely reassuring guilty pleasure.

Genre: Omegaverse instant-mate
H/H: Alpha dragon prince and omega wolf shifter
Setting: Alternate omegaverse universe (shifters known)
Heat: Low to moderate

Summary: Cheesey, escapist omegaverse semi-smut

This is another quick romance in the omega auction series

I don't know if it's just the KU version, but this book was incredibly difficult to read because of the use of a blue typeface.

Once past that, it was a decent story with the usual mates insta love element this time bound up with cross shifter species tensions.

The quiet meek little omega with this serious stutter is the star of this installment. This is the first time we’re see the mixed species relationships, good stuff. My little red dragon is wise and precious. We got a bit more of the dragon world but alas I think Rhodes has leveled off. I didn’t get much growth. I loved the wolves and dragons at the castle but everything fell into place way, way too easily. Another thing that’s starting to bug me is so many questions being left unanswered. I will keep reading this series but I’d like more character development than fluff.

This is a fun series to read, but don’t expect too much. The blurb sounded nice, but the plot is very simple, not much drama, not much of anything really. It should be read in order, because there are so many names and characters, it gets confusing, even if you did read the other parts.
Still, I enjoyed it while it lasted, but I guess it’s time for a „real“ book after this (well at least as „real“ as m/m romance gets...

Back to the dragons

We return to the dragons and their territory with this next part of the omega rescue series.

Spencer was actually sold to Jack by his pack alpha, so despite being rescued he has no pack to return to. In addition, his stutter has kept any alpha from being interested in him so he has been leading a quiet solitary life among the Coruscation pack. He is shocked when Harry, a visiting dragon alpha, shows interest and asks to court him. While the two make a great pair, trouble has been brewing in dragon territory, and as crown prince Harry needs to make some serious decisions.

I really enjoyed this because it was a treat to learn more about the world and the dragon shifters. It seemed so cold and uncaring in Cian's book. The one thing I never could figure out- why Cian was such a jerk in this book. He had always been kind, caring, open to other people and races. But when Harry wants to mate with Spencer he is unimaginably cruel. It didn't match to how he had been in previous books and it really never sat well with me that it remained unexplained.

A great continuation of the series and I love how it has opened new options for our intrepid omegas, as well as given a bit more expansion to the world. Great!

I was excited to see Harry pop back into the series. I was more excited to see him with Spencer. Harry is every bit as sweet as you could hope for. I liked watching Spencer's transformation to someone confident and taking charge of his world. The two of them together make for an excellent team.

A Twist

This story was a little different than the previous installments but it was good. Kian continues to build a very imaginative and creative world of other beings. We continue to also see characters from the other stories.

Wonderful

Dragons and wolves, oh my. This is a marvelous book in this series. I really liked the interspecies aspects as it is able to bring about a lot to think about. I just think though that there's something missing you with Cian. Hope that there's more to come.

Truly Enjoyable

I loved Harry and Spencer and I really I've that they are from very different backgrounds and species proving love only sees what's truly important, heart and soul. I was very very disappointed in Cian and I like Harry also hold a grudge.

Really good, minor issues

The story was adorable, interesting and we'll paced. Most character development as well as the conversations was done well. Problems? Basically with some reactions, Cian's attitude was 100% out of character and I saw it for what it was, a plot element, a means to an end. Because of that I hated all interactions with him. For those who have not read his own story won't mind but if you have like me, will find it totally unnerving and unnecessary. As we as one short discussion between Harry and Spencer, it was rushed and pushed like placed only to add more angs. Useless. Finally, the ending leaves a couple questions unanswered, and not just a wondering kind of question because they were poise as important to the plot but suddenly left unfinished? Maybe the deadline was coming and so they had to rush the ending... Don't know. In resume this is a very good story with a well done work, just, not perfect.

Harry and Spencer's story. Harry is a dragon that was to mated to Cian, Spencer is a wolf . I have to say that I love the series and all the characters but I has to give the story a three star because of the way Cian treated Spencer. It was so out of character from his own story(Cian). The wolf's (Trevor) helped him so much, and Harry is so kind, a typical shy, timid omega how could Cian lashes out all high and mighty at Spenser calling him a "cock-sucking whore" and going on about how he can't produce an heir for Harry. Cian was a wonderful character in the earlier book, sweet and loving. It was very disturbing to hear him speak this way to Spencer.

This wasn't as good as the others, I felt like it was all over the place. There were so many loose ends left hanging, like where's Uncle Sneezy?

I just didn't mesh with this one.

It started off cute, I really liked Harry and his insta attraction to Spence which, given what Spencer had been through was needed in this, but then all the unnecessary misunderstandings started, then other stuff that was just unnecessary then all the story lines that couldn't be tied up...

This one left much to be desired.

I stopped at 46% i just did not like this at all. It had so much potential, but the writing was stilted and odd and there was almost no background information or world building. I understand it is the second book in the series but there should be enough info in the second book for me not to have to read the first. These people showed up and it was just assumed I knew who they were and these names were thrown out.

It was awful and I never say that about books.

Most of my reviews will sound the same unless I have something to say

The narrator was ok but not the best The voice did annoy me but The story kept me entertained

I like how Arthur added background to the story and didn’t leave any information out

The sex parts was good and sexy

I like the fact that they gave the character a medical condition which added more to the character but it did make the narrator sound worse than he did

I liked the fact that Harry is open to love and finding his mate even if that mate is out of the ordinary for him. Spencer dispite his "diability" shows what a strong Omega he is not once but over and over. He also is very smart and great with people. He is the perfect person to help Harry come into his own.

This was an epic journey with 17 books in the Omega Auction Chronicles (plus 4 shorts) and they are intertwined with the Omega Rescue and Blood Valley Investigations). They are definitely best read in order and worth it - very sexy, entertaining and fun.

I still have the Omega Destiny, International series to get through and looking forward to it.

Didn't Think I'd Like It

But I do!! Harry didn't make the strongest impression in the last book. Here he is all the alpha I'd hoped he could be. Definitely a book I will read again!!

Unexpectedly pretty good. I wasn't looking forward to Harry's story after reading Kenny's story, and especially so after Cian's story. There was something about the way dragon shifters were portrayed as so distant and formal. I was pleased to find that Harry was nothing of the sort. These two were really cute together and I adored Spencer.

This is a paranormal queer romance in a mpreg world, it is the sixth book in a series that must be read in order. Another rescued Omega finds his happily ever after among the dragons! Great storytelling and I loved these two MC’s so very much!
