Warning! Hot, taboo romance awaits…This is a standalone novella, with complete satisfaction guaranteed. No judgment zone. Enjoy!

Kate

Anyone would be lying if they didn’t lust after David. Keeping my feelings at bay after my mom’s wedding was like torture. I knew I couldn’t have him. I knew he was off limits. Our relationship could never go there -- or could it? I know my fantasies of him were already on fire! Now he’s back in the states from London giving me a holiday package I just can’t resist.

David

I’m exactly the kind of billionaire everyone loves to hate. I enjoy being single, vaping, and giving women what they want most in bed. Little did I know that my time off for the holidays would really feel like home in more ways than one. I’m stuck in close quarters with my rod throbbing for Kate and I can’t do nothing about it.

There’s one little secret, this hot beauty is my stepsister. As the saying goes, you want what you can’t have right?

My head hurts a bit after trying to understand this story. I've read many taboo, step-sibling books, but this one didn't really hit the mark for me.

Kate and David their attempts at any kind of relationship are atrocious. I'm going to assume these characters are like late 20's almost 30's (just from some information given in the book) yet they act as if they are teenagers. David only knows how to sleep around with women, that's fine and dandy, but he pretty much treats them as if they were whores. Kate can't seem to find a backbone to stand up for what she thinks and just keeps allowing David to treat her that way. But it's sexual chemistry BLAH BLAH, it's called thinking too much with sexual brain and not enough with the brain in your head.

The end of the novel ends with the parents assuming something like a relationship might happen between them, but when we get to the bonus book of Luke and Jen, they are hiding their relationship? I pretty sure their parents aren't that dense and stupid to not see it's a coincidence that all of sudden she's transferring her work to London right after they thought a relationship between them could happen?!?

Luke and Jen's story....Yeah I'm just as lost and disappointed. What is with writing women characters who just stand back and let a guy they believe they like or are in love with go around and fuck whatever they want, while they sit away and pine for any kind of attention from them?!?

Both of these stories, there really is no character development between any of the characters. Hell for Luke and Jen's little short story we know NOTHING of Jen! For me while reading this I honestly felt no chemistry between the characters. All this sex chemistry Kate and David kept claiming to have was never felt. It just seemed as if they used each other to get off.

David's father married Kate's mother. That's where the two first met. Months have now passed and David has returned from London for the Christmas holidays. He is the typical wealthy, successful business man, firmly committed to one night stands only, no commitments for anything more. There is strong chemistry between the two step-siblings and David struggles with keeping focus. Could not relate nor even like David, his personality sucks. Therefore could not attach to H/h. Beyond the sex scenes, no emotional conflict. No challenges beyond the step-sibling issue and the ending was soft and wimpy. Some people may enjoy this incomplete story. I  voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Three stars.

Kate had a crush on her stepbrother David. So far so good.
The fact that he was attracted to her too, but wanting to keep some distance so that it would not hurt their parents, would be normal too.
But David seems very lost in his convictions.

He arrives from his London trip already attacking every one and puts the blame on fatigue.
Then, when he let himself by the strong attraction he feels for Kate, he changes his mind several times.
The story that could be a great love story, even if it ends in the famous cliche, is weak and ends abruptly.

I don't know what I just read. This book had the potential to be so good, but the writing...the characters...I just don't know what this was. I'm scratching my head at everything that happened, scratching my head at the structure of the book...at everything. Not what I expected. The sex scenes, however, were quite steamy and I kinda enjoyed those, so that was a plus.
