This is an epilogue to Whitney G's book Turbulence , my review to which is HERE.

Now, it was interesting to find out that Whitney G. isn't used to writing epilogues for her books since she has nonfiction background. She is, however, changing her ways and promises us an epilogue for all her future fiction books :)

This epilogue was very satisfying; another dose of Jake was much needed,

Yay! I'm so happy I got my epilogue. "Turbulence" was my first book by Whitney G, so I had no idea she usually doesn't write epilogues, but after reading her authors note in "Turbulence: The Epilogue" I understood why. She has however promised to write epilogues from now on.

I absolutely loved Turbulence and it was a definite 5 stars read for me, but I was slightly disappointed there wasn't an epilogue at the end. So you can image my surprise when I discovered there was a separate release with just the epilogue. Definitely well worth the wait. I felt it tied the story up perfectly and I couldn't have wished for a better ending. Plus I got to read more of Jake, which was a thrill in itself.

I freely admit I’m one of those greedy readers who looks forward to a good epilogue. I’ll take a HEA whenever I can get one, and the ending in Turbulence is mighty fine. However, it doesn’t have the coveted epilogue! I really must thank Whitney G. for indulging readers with more of Gillian and Jake in this extended epilogue. (Truthfully, I mostly mean more of Jake.) It’s short, witty, and a touch cheesy in a sweet way. It’s a great way to wrap up their love affair in a fun and satisfying little bow.

While I am super happy that Ms. G didn't leave us hanging with that super abrupt ending in Turbulence, I am a little bummed that this is all we got.

I would reluctantly call this a HEA, but I wanted more!

I wanted to experience their growth as an actual couple that loves one another! We didn't get much time with them as a healthy, happy, and official couple in book 1, so I was anticipating having some good time with that here. Sadly, I didn't get that. It does give us some closure on some side topics (which I appreciate), but I also am feeling a little left hanging about some of the other topics (I know that's my type A personality showing and could be a just me thing 😉).

The delivery was clever on some of their milestone announcements, but it just wasn't enough for me 🤷🏻‍♀️

4.5 lost in ‘us’ stars

The author treats her readers to a lovely epilogue, featuring Jake and Gillian, from her book Turbulence. This book may be short, but it doesn’t disappoint. The characters were perfect and everything just fell into its right place. Jake is even more delicious once you get a second taste of him in this, if that's even possible ;)

This was short and sweet, with just the right amount of cheese. This epilogue definitely piqued my interest, but the plot is left a bit open. My mind is off in whirl of curiosity…

Naked Truth: So, i was watching a horror movie with family and secretly using Goodreads on my phone (creature of a habit) & suddenly i saw one of my friend reading Turbulence: The Epilogue and i squealed, I literally squealed!! Loudly enough for all family to stare at me like i am crazy. :D *Cons of squealing while watching a horror movie* People will think you are nuts.

I love this, Because Epilogues are my favourite part of the books.

I honestly didn't loved Turbulence but i quite liked it and also it just ended quite abruptly for my liking. & I wanted a epilogue so some things can be cleared, it was one of the reason why i didn't give Turbulence 4 stars.

I loved how we got the closure on Jake & his Dad's problems and all. So, it was relieve.

I like Jake, not loved, he was hot alright but much cockier than any character I've read and loved. So i didn't loved him. Much cockier than my liking.

Gillian, i don't like her, she was naive and not a strong character. Like She should've been. and i honestly don't know how on earth she just published the book out of the blue air :/

That was the most pathetic plot twist I've ever read.

Well, sorry, i am just ranting about Turbulence here.

So be back at Epilogue, Whitney G. did the most clever thing to write it. It gives the book a good light and a reasonable end.

I’m more than in love with him, and even though he attempts to act like he has no idea what I’m talking about, he always says, “Fuck…I love you, Gillian,” whenever I fall asleep in his arms.

I am such a sucker for an epilogue and who doesn’t love bonus material?!

This was a quick read that gave you a bit of closure for Jake and Gillian and although it gave me some serious feels at the end, I loved that even in love, Jake was still... well JAKE.

I can only hope that the little clues in this epi aren’t just there to tease us, but that there might be more to this story. I seriously can’t get enough of Jake. I could read about him for the rest of my life and still not get enough. I need more.

Sigh. So it's 6 months after book 1 and Gillian -who is preggers -is still unsure where she stands with Jake. This is Gillian speaking:

I wasn’t able to read him at all right now and I wasn’t sure why. “I’m honestly really excited about starting a family with you, so if you’re not, that’s okay. I’ll still be happy, but don’t think for one second that this means you won’t give our child your all because you will, Jake. You will.”
.......O Gillian, are you really sure about that?....

“Since you’re going to sit there and be silent...I meant what I said in that blog post even though you still try to deny it for some reason. There’s no other man for me, and there’s no other woman for you and I know you know that Jake. You know that down to your marrow. And if you don’t want to marry me so soon I get that, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want—.”

.....oh dear lawd woman, stop talking. Just stop it. If a man wants you, you don't have to tell him that you're the only woman for him, dammit. He's meant to say it to you!!@!!..! Is the dick really that good?

This is neither a novel or a novella, it is a short Epilogue only, written specially for Book 1 Turbulence.



So, what can I say? Maybe, only this will suffice:
"And they f*cked happily ever after” :))))

I would have preferred a little bit more emotional Epilogue but it is Jake & Gillian's story, so it was still OK... It is what they do best :))))





Don't worry, there is marriage & children and a very happily ever after...

This is a free bonus for readers of Turbulence. Whitney G. listened to her readers, and has given us the epilogue to Jake and Gillian’s story, which I agree ended a bit abruptly in the first book.

Turbulence details the steamy and tumultuous affair between Pilot, Jake and flight attendant, Gillian, and their story is an angsty one! They did get their happy ending, but this little extra gives us multiple glimpses into their future as the different storylines are all closed off and Jake and Gillian’s story is finished off beautifully.

A must-read for fans of the first book. Thank you Whitney G.!

I didn't even know this has an epilogue :D

This was a welcomed little treat, and it reminded me of how much I love Jake. <3

Though I still think it was corny and a little over the top, the little closing was good and I'm glad Jake's taking the step to be closer to his family again (even though I still don't feel the sincerity in their apologises.) Ha.

The super quick read, actually the epilogue six months later.
It's nice to read about their lives together and their relationships with their family.
