Iain Cameron was born in Glasgow, Scotland and moved south to Brighton in the early eighties.
He has worked as a management accountant, business consultant and a nursery goods retailer. He now lives in a village outside Horsham in West Sussex with his wife, two daughters and a lively Collie.

As I have said previously, Iain Cameron writes stories that have good bones, but he fills the story with far too much description of things that have absolutely no bearing on the story and instead of adding to the pleasure of the story, they leave me scratching my head, thinking “now what was the point of that whole paragraph, page, chapter?” It’s almost like he was told that he should develop characters a little more fully, in some creative writing course, and now goes to the other extreme, telling the reader far more information about characters that are almost irrelevant to the basic story. It really is a pity because the bones of his stories are good, but the whole book becomes boring because of the over descriptive nature. I will read the next book in the series....because I bought six at once, not having read the first one. If I’d only bought one in the first place I probably wouldn’t have bothered with any more. Sad because it could be so much better.
I've read am the books in this series and I hate to say it but this was a hard slog. Half way through I was ready to give up as I realised I had a long way to go till the end and I couldn't recall a thing about what I had been reading. Determined I decided to see it through but found my mind drifted and eventually sped read or skimmed my way to the end.
For me I found the story never took off, I was bored but hopeful, but nothing clicked that made the book interesting. Very disappointing as I have enjoyed previous books in the series. X
3.5 stars. This book does not have some of what I consider the flaws of the previous books and some aspects of the plot are interesting. However, I did not think that the motivation of some of the "criminals" was especially plausible. At least Henderson's girl friend makes more of an appearance here even though she isn't important to the story.
An international scenario that tackles a really probable scam on the pretentious riche!. Henderson is believable and the support characters are developing superbly. Bring on the next one soon.
This book is fast paced, exciting, and scary! The police are dealing with a large, intricate, and successful criminal organization with many operations. The finale is tense and involves many people, police and criminals.
I found it engrossing but I reserve 5 stars for books that moved me in humor or emotional depths. Still a good read. The charters I known but new ones are added to keep the store line must moving.
I am really moving through this series as I can’t put them down. Very intriguing plots and the characters are all well fitted. An excellent series that I highly recommend.
Enjoyable read. I read it a long time ago but decided to re read to refresh my knowledge of the characters forgot how enjoyable it was. If you are looking for a good series of books
When Chris Fletcher goes missing from a ferry returning from France to U.K. He's later found dead his father Dennis knows he was murdered to silence him. Dennis meets with DI Angus Henderson explains Chris had phoned Him said there was strange things going on at Chateau Osanne the vineyard where he worked there was lorries turning up at all times day and night and some of the people looked more like gangsters than people who knew about wine. Then just 2 nights before his death He'd phoned again saying he had discovered something big that would rock the world of wine he didn't want to talk about it on the phone and that he'd speak to him when he got home in 3 weeks time but then Chris was sacked from Chateau Osanne for talking too much..... Hence his ferry journey and disappearance..... I received an advanced copy of this book in return for an honest review I totally loved this book would definitely recommend it.
A double cross and skimming from ill gotten gains gets all involved hunted down, some by the police but most by notorious gang boss. A lot of action and shocking violence against the police. Who lives and who dies in the hunt for the truth is anyone's guess. Great book!
I was disappointed in this one. Henderson's team did not blend well and felt like a group of strangers trying to work together. I didn't feel a connection between Angus and his new live in. The criminals seemed like a group of clowns trying to kill everyone including each other. The private detective was my favorite character and the author ends up having him killed. The plot wandered and I ended up skipping through some parts but I did persevere to the end. I love police procedurals and this one falls short for me.
