A story of Ranbir, Adah and Pihu - Characters you'll have a hard time forgetting.
Ranbir, whose only dream in his life is to write novels and be known for that. His life is also dedicated to Adah, who doesn't appreciate his passion for writing. She wants him to get a real job and live respectfully in society.
Devoting your life and love to someone who doesn't understand your dreams is the most treacherous thing to do to yourself, isn't it?
But Ranbir doesn't care. For him, Adah is everything. He won't be listening to anyone.
Until and Unless, he finds it out himself that Adah was cheating on him. This term 'Until & Unless' always creates melodrama, don't you think?
"In love we find out who we want to be; in war we find out who we are.”
Not that Ranbir is in a serious battle with Adah, but with himself. He's injured. He's wounded. Inside out. Back to front.
Who to blame if not Adah?
This is what took their ship down. The word 'between'.

Love comes with no authored rules but it does have some unsaid; not to leave the person especially when she/he is in distress; love the person unconditionally no matter what. Will Ranbir and Adah follow the unsaid rules?
Ranbir left his well paying job for his dream of writing, but Adah; his girlfriend was reluctant to understand his state of mind and want him keep aside his dreams for later and become more practical towards life. She stopped taking his calls until he finds a good enough job and forget about his dream that won’t take their relationship anywhere. Ranbir managed his job, writing and Adah effortlessly and during this time his flat-mate and buddy Lakshya is big support of him. The relationship of Ranbir and Adah is going through a rough patch.
Ranbir’s first book was out for public scrutiny and gain huge popularity and fan following to him. Pihu, it was, his first reader who made an effort to contact him. Pihu is totally falling in love with the book and the story of Arnab and Jhanvi, she found it surreal.

You Are My Reason to Smile by Arpit Vageria is a romance novel. This novel talks about romance, friendship. The elements of humour, sadness can be noticed altogether.The cover of the book has a shady green colour which mesmerises the soul ofthe readers. Those who judge book by its cover would surely buy it by looking at it. The green shade gives a positive ambience and surely grabs a lot of attention.
The title is appropriate though we come to know the literal meaning of it in the end. The story revolves around this. It can be related to us also as we keep on looking for a smile but we find smile in a person whom we love the most.

The themes of friendship, love, calling can be noticed. Yes,it is true that calling is important in one’s life. And Ranbir’s calling was not in corporate world infact in writing world. The friendship bond and the love include the other themes.
The characters are beautifully portrayed. I personally loved Lakshya’s character because thats the only character that remains unchanged throughout the novel. He is an amazing friend to Ranbir and could go to any extend to help him.The protagonist Ranbir’s life is a roller coaster ride and the way he gets a positive response for his book gives us a glimpse of the author.
The style of writing is simple, lucid and clear. The author has used easy language to understand. Some lines are really loved while some can make you cry that very moment. The use of third person narrative along with point of views could have been better. Those who are not romance lovers might not like it. The story was sounded predictable but was unpredictable.

Typical Bollywood movie, love triangle
Brief Review:
Light read, suitable for beginners to get easy and comfortable with reading.
This is my first book by Arpit Vageria and he had done a decent job. The story goes around the protagonist Ranbir, Adah, Lakshya and Pihu involving Love, friendship, betrayal and some corporate difficulties faced in real life.
Ranbir always wanted to become a writer and lives for his dreams and at the same time he can go for any heights for love of his life Adah. But Adah doesn't appreciate or values Ranbir even though he dedicated his first book to her. All that Adah wanted was Ranbir to get a decent job and be practical so that her parents can accept him. But down the line things gets worse and they both takes different path in their life. At this moment, Pihu first reader of his book and fan of Author Ranbir enters his life and creates some magical moments with each other. Lakshya friend of Ranbir plays a very good role throughout the book and is the only character that didn't change and all other characters changes. There was a very good twist at the end which changes the whole view of the story. Overall it was like one time watch movie, no impact.

It's not only a love story but a ecstatic blend of friendship, intimacy, passion, dream, betrayal, togetherness and tragedy. Characters were so beautifully written that at one point you'll hate someone and the other second you'll fall in love with that person. The book has a huge twist in the end which made it an interesting read.

He succeeded in using realistic characters or characters living in an indian situation.

The author tried to potray multiple shades of life in this story... friendship, love,betrayal, expectations,regrets etc... Brotherhood between Ranbir and his roommate is also worth mentioning.
He is also explaining the ups and downs in a relationship perfectly.

A romantic novel. In this novel, the author Arpit Vageria talks about love & friendship. The character named Ranbir is passionate about writing novels & becoming an author. Adah, is the love of his life who doesn't respect his passion & wants him to get a good job so that he can be respected in society. But Ranbir's real love is not into corporate world.
He tries to focus more on writing rather than job life & their relationship drifts apart. In this situation, Pihu , who reads his novel & one of his fans enters his life & falls in love with him.
Further, Ranbir gets to know about Adah that suffering from depression through his friend & room mate Lakshya where she will be under hallucination creating her own imaginary world falling in love with a character , Rehaan & doesn't want him to get married.
Later, Ranbir sorts out everything wherein Adah & Ranbir get along again & live happily.
Overall, a good love story . A story of love, friendship & togetherness. :-)

January 4, 2017Every character you meet in the novel changes its initial impression by the end of the novel. The only unchanged one was Lakshya an impressive addition and a real portrayal of friendship. The plot might seem predictable but it isn’t when one reads it.

All through the book it appeared as a regular novel.But the finishing note vanquished the whole impression.Author nailed in creating the impression of making Adah a victim of psychic disorder.Ranbir atlast got his true love after sprinting into many lanes of life.

When you think about a Romance Novel you always expect it the be different from the previous book you have read. As expected this novel is different from the rest. You Are My Reason To Smile is a story of Ranbir who is a dreamer, working in a full-time, well-paying job, but even after all this he is not happy as he has a dream for writing his own book and becoming a famous Author. He is madly in love with his girlfriend Adah who is also working. As Ranbir decides to leave his job and write full-time Adah starts keeping a distance from him. Also she starts criticizing him and wanted him to be practical and work in a full time job. But Ranbir was determined to write his book. Soon his book gets published and he becomes famous. Pihu, who is crazily in love with the book start taking to Ranbir through Chat and soon after their closeness increases. As Ranbir and Adah's relationship is drifting apart, Pihu is getting closer to Ranbir. Was Adah really in love with Ranbir? Was Adah the love he was finding? Who is Pihu Sharma in real? Is Pihu the real love Ranbir was finding? Will it be Adah and Ranbir or Pihu and Ranbir? To know all the answers read the book.
This book is not just a typical love story but a journey which is a blend of everything. Love, friendship, passion, dreams, commitments, betrayal, heart break, realization and togetherness. I liked the story, pretty simple, clear and to the point. I was glued till the end as the story was moving it was increasing my excitement to know what will happen in the end.
I really loved Lakshya's character. The way he stood by Ranbir every moment and supported him till the end touched my heart. His jokes, his swag, his sense of humor I was in love with Lakshya. I wish we all have a friend like Lakshya in our life. Also Pihu's character the way she motivated Ranbir, her smartness, her style and the letter she wrote to Ranbir was heart touching and pure which was straight from heart. A friend like Lakshya and a lover like Pihu will surly be a blessing to those who will have.
To be very honest I didn't expect the ending will go this way as I really hated Adah's character in the beginning as the way she was treating Ranbir and the way she criticized him, I was pretty sure I am never going to like such character but the climax did change my view not much but it did a little. I think the character Adah was shown too much negative at the beginning that even after the climax hardly my feelings changed for her. But this shows the quality work of the Author that the characters have made an impression and seriously I really appreciate the Author for making the characters feel as if they were real characters.
In conclusion I would say I really liked this book and the characters. Each character has its our uniqueness and specialties which will make an impact into your life. Recommend to all who loves to read Romance Novel, you will surly like the story and the climax will be a highlight which will change your views and you will think was it worth it? keep thinking ☺❤

His previous books sauce (2012) & I Still trust You (2016) have received a lot of love and smart reviews from the readers. succeeding novel, you're My Reason to Smile by Arpit Vageria could be a story of a company worker turned regular author and his journey on the far side.
Ranbir, the protagonist of the novel you're My Reason to Smile, is variety of dreamer United Nations agency has his aspiration on the far side the well-paying job that he has already. Ranbir’s love interest, Adah, is that the one for whom he will leave behind remainder of the globe. Besides having an honest job and nearly the right love, Ranbir isn’t happy.
His true line of work is somewhere past the walls of a company cubicle – Writing. It takes him tons of deliberation to finally take a leap and leave his job to dedicate all of himself towards writing. whereas Ranbir struggles to search out the balance in everything, Adah somehow drifts removed from him. This novel is a mixed bag of love,friendship,Passion, sadness,expectations,regrets.I was glued till the end as the story was moving it was increasing my expectation level to know what will happen in the end.

The characters of this book are gonna stick around in our mind for a while. The author have placed the characters so well by creating well knitted scenarios. Rather than portraying a simple usual love story, here in the book the author have given multi dimensions for the love story through the point of view of the different characters. The amazing brotherhood shared between the protagonist and his roommate is worth mentioning. As we humans are complicated so are the decisions taken by them to an extend which is clearly portrayed in this book. A definite recommended book.

A romantic novel. In this novel love and friendship is front and center of the story. The character named Ranbir is passionate about writing novels and becoming an author. Adah, is the love of his life who doesn't respect his passion and wants him to get a good job so that he can be respected in society. Ranbir's real love is not into corporate world instead he wants to write books.
He tries to focus more on writing rather than job life and their relationship drifts apart. In this situation, Pihu , who reads his novel & one of his fans enters his life and falls in love with him. it was an ok book.

I love the character of Ranbir, male protagonist who is very much passionate about writing. We learn from the character that whatever the circumstances come... achieving your passion is necessary. Throughout story there are are many unbelievable and fantastic twist and turn. Adda who was female protagonist shows a dominant and ill behave lady turns into a victim at the end as the story unfolds. Loss of parents' love childhood made her a psychological ill behaved girl. Lakshya played character of trusted friend who stand by Rannbir in each and every state of affairs and vice versa. As a whole i just love the story very much and forward it to read more interesting story from the author.

The title of the novel attracted me the most. There are few characters in the story; which makes it easy to recall 'who was who'.
Ranbir always desired to become an author. While, Adah wanted him to get a well paid job and settle with it. Ranbir loved Adah truly and can go at any extent for her.
Adah wasn't happy with the dream Ranbir had of becoming an author and kept on insisting him about a job.
Meanwhile, Ranbir's first novel gets published and instead of becoming happy for that, he was upset because of the small argument he had with Adah.
Pihu, Ranbir's first fan, was drawn towards him and wanted to live the way he had described in his debut novel. With time, Ranbir got to know her true nature of being so selfish. So, he left everything and went back to his old flat where he used to live with his roommate.
Pihu left Mumbai with a letter to Ranbir and they never ever tried to contact each other.
VJ, Pihu's roommate was a lesbian who was in love with Pihu and was the main reason of the distance that was being created between Ranbir and Adah.
Adah was suffering from Depression psychosis, where she created her own imaginary world, where Reehan, her childhood friend was getting married and that she didn't want him to get married. She loved Reehan and wanted to spend the whole life with him.
Later, Ranbir was able to sort out everything and they lived happily together.
Pihu was totally out of the story after she left Mumbai.
Overall, it was a nice story.

This is an incredible love story that wavers around Adah and Ranbir. It's a usual tale of love with triumph and disaster. Everyone needs a partner to share our lives, we always yearn for a shoulder to lean on. Here, Adah and Ranbir share that kind of relationship. They help each other, support, and love each other immensely. They both prevailed more like a friend than lovers. This book also comprehends the significance of friendship and love. The author has done tremendous work by describing this love story in modest and impressive language.

Interesting read.This is a story about Ranbir And Adah.Ranbir wants to become a full-time writer by quitting his job and he wants Adah to support him in this but She does not support him.First You hate Adah because she does not care about Ranbir and his dreams but as the story progress you will get to know why she does that.and finally, you love Adah.I really liked Lakshya's character.He is a best friend of Ranbir and he is always there when Ranbir needs him.

I have read so many novels on love stories but this particular book is not just about love but also finding yourself, with so many twists and turns this book is a perfect blend of friendship , betrayals, imaginations and it also highlighted a very rare medical problem of depression ( how it feels when someone had been alone all through ) .. Arpit had made sure that readers stay glued to this. Amazing book ofcourse with happy ending.

Loved the way author has showed a honesty and loyalty of Ranvir towards Adah. But curious to read more about what happened to his reader named "Pihu" who was mad for him, curious to know how she later has managed to move on and her life i.e., her past too like her family and how she managed to survive after her mother was passed away in that unexpected accident.

Everyone needs a friend like Lakshya, more than Ranbir & Adah, I loved Lakshya...♥️ and even though by the end of the novel I liked Adah for being strong and understanding, I just couldn't love Ranbir.. I mean with everything going on in his life, he should have paused his personal life for few days yet he complicated it..

If you want a break from your regular genre and want to read a light story to get fresh, then this book is for you.
A simple story with a bit of twist in the end.
170 odd pages and you can complete it within 2 hours.

The book is just awesome.......I m.one of the luckiest person to meet directly with the writer of this fantastic novel.....I not only liked the book but also lived it.....i love reading books and yes the book basically reminds the truth of today's life......a true story..... awesome one.....
