Gosho Aoyama (青山剛昌) is a Japanese manga artist. He is best known as the creator of the manga series Detective Conan (known in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom as Case Closed).
Aoyama made his debut as a manga artist with the work Chotto Matte which was published in the weekly magazine Shōnen Sunday on winter of 1987. Shortly after that, another work by Aoyama, Magic Kaito, was published on the same magazine.
Ceritanya makin seruuuu dan makin bikin penasaran >< gemes sama Heiji yg lama bgt mau bilang cinta😂 kasusnya di vol ini seru bgttt sama sekali ngga bikin bosen😆 deduksinya pun simpel tapi on point gitu
Bellissimo, come l'anime!
General Synopsis: As mentioned above, I am going to write a proper review for this soon, but I have a few books ahead of this one in the queue, so I cannot stop reading DC NOW! That's sacrilege. I have decided to read all the chapters available up to now (we are almost to 1000!) As you can see, I am totally fangirling over here and I don't care, because this is one of my favorite manga series, ever! But all of this aside, there are a few things I wanted to list so I don't need to go back and look everything up when I do finally sit down and write my fangirl review. ✌🏻
DO NOT click on the spoiler link if you don't want to read all the cases in this volume, because it will ruin it for you. On the other hand, if you're a fan like me or are looking for a certain case (and please note, these are how I have set the cases), etc. click away, that's why it's there.
Another spoiler link, so don't click if you don't want to ruin this manga. I am going to include the characters introduced or as the series continues are in this volume. Personally, I think us DC fans love certain characters more than other (yes, Heiji, I mean you!), so sometimes when we are re-reading this series (like all the time!) you might wish to start at a specific case or start when a certain character is involved.
Characters in this volume:
Personal Opinion: #1, I never call this CASE CLOSED. If you do, you're not a true fan of this series, so don't even bother reading my review or my personal opinions. I'm sorry if I offend you, but you offended me first by telling me you want to read CASE CLOSED or you just love Jimmy.
#2, as you can tell by #1, I read this online. I would never waste my money buying a manga series in english that cannot get the name correct and mess up the main characters to make it appear more "ENGLISH." I am so happy I don't run a blog and this isn't a review on Sailor Moon, #1, because I have a huge soap box tirade against DiC. I also don't think there is anything against reading something online. Comics, which is what manga are, are meant to be read and shared and sometimes paying over $10 is too much in my opinion. Plus, I read the newest chapters as soon as they are released from Japan, because I would never miss a release of DC. So this is my personal shout out to you translators from me, Thank You!
Volume 93 opens with the reveal that the corpse at the end of the previous volume isn’t quite dead yet, though he doesn’t know who stabbed him. The most likely suspects are the other members of the college theater club who’d come to Cafe Poirot for a birthday party. But there’s also another customer no one recognizes and behaving a bit suspiciously. Conan, Hattori and Amuro help Inspector Megure to solve the case.
The stranger helps with a poetry clue, and the reader finds out though our detectives don’t that he has a secret connection to Hattori.
Next up, it’s time to check in on Mouri family drama. Kogorou is estranged from his wife, lawyer Eri Kisaki (Eva Kaden). They actually still love each other, but are too stubborn to make up because of their personal differences. Eri has sent their daughter Ran movie premiere tickets, but Mr. Mouri doesn’t want to go because the plot of the movie sounds suspiciously like it’s taking Eri’s side.
Not that they’re actually going to make the opening credits, because there’s suddenly a friend request from Eri on Ran’s phone chat application. It’s weird as Ran already her friended. Or does she?
Turns out that Ms. Kisaki was abducted by thugs who’d been on the wrong end of cases she’d been a lawyer in, seeking revenge. She’d managed to escape from their immediate presence and hide somewhere in the large abandoned building they’d taken her to. But they took her phone and she’s having to make do with one of theirs, using the chat function since she doesn’t dare speak aloud.
Conan, Ran and Kogorou have to figure out which of the texts are from the real Eri and locate where she’s been taken, preferably before the kidnappers kill her.
Afterwards, the family and Conan go to the movie. Kogorou winds up liking it because the detective character similar to him turns out to be pretty cool, but Eri nitpicks all the legal mistakes, and they’re quarreling again.
One-eyed and heavily scarred Police Superintendent Kuroda hears that Ms. Wakasa is taking the Detective Kids on a camping trip as Dr. Agasa is ill. He’s interested, though he doesn’t let on to Inspector Shiratori.
At the campground, the kids find themselves parked next to some college basketball players, one of whom got a eye injury that benched him. Ms. Wakasa tenses up hearing this. When the player who caused the injury burns to death in the middle of the night, it’s revealed that Superintendent Kuroda is also at the campground.
Ms. Wakasa bristles at him, and the fact that she doesn’t seem to notice what’s going on to her right causes Ai to realize that Wakasa seems to be blind in her right eye, explaining some of her clumsiness.,
With a bit of help from the arson squad, the case is solved, but not before Ms. Wakasa turns scary for a moment towards the suspect.
Some time later, Ran and Conan are at a high school kendo (swordsmanship) tournament where Hattori is participating, and Kazuha is also along. One of the referees is murdered, apparently by an expert with the blade.
This case introduces Hattori’s kendo rival Soshi Okita, who’s the alternative universe equivalent of a character from Aoyama’s previous manga Yaiba. He’s yet another character that strongly resembles Shin’ichi Kudou (though the anime gives him a distinctive voice) and included to celebrate Aoyama’s 30th anniversary as a manga artist in 2017. Soshi’s not much of a detective, but he’s a subject matter expert on kendo.
The case is complicated by the only witness being blind, and some question as to what he actually heard.
I especially liked this volume.

Gerak-gerik keduanya sama-sama mencurigakan, saya sendiri masih clueless tentang identitas asli mereka.
I’ve finally caught up with the English translation release, and honestly, I’m not sure how I feel about having to wait months for the next volume.
I have mixed feelings about this volume. Let’s talk about the whole looming love triangle with Heiji, Kazuha, and the new character, Momiji. The timing of Momiji’s introduction feels a bit too convenient, like she was added just to drag out the conflict in their arc. I’m not a fan of this trope, and it feels unnecessary. Can we please just let Heiji and Kazuha figure things out without forcing extra drama?
On the bright side, there are definitely some fun and interesting moments scattered throughout. I liked seeing Soshi Okita make an appearance. Aoyama pulling characters from Yaiba for a little crossover action is always a welcome sight to see. And of course, any chapter featuring Eri and Kogoro is an automatic favorite. Their dynamic is endlessly entertaining, and I can’t help but enjoy their chaotic yet oddly endearing relationship.
Now, about the Wakasa and Superintendent Kuroda arc… what was that? Aoyama just cut the story short out of nowhere, and the mystery about whatever Wakasa had in her back pocket wasn’t resolved. It felt abrupt, like there was more to say but we just moved on like always. Ugh. I’m left scratching my head here.
This book starts off where volume 92 left off. If it has been a while since reading it like me, I suggest you reread the end so that when you pick this one up you proceed without missing a beat. A murder occurred in the "Coffee Poirot" and Detective Conan and Harley are determined to bring the culprit to justice. The first full story in this volume involves Rachel's mom being kidnapped!!! The way this story unfolds is both suspenseful and rewarding to long time readers. The mystery around Detective Conan's teacher, Ms. Wakasa, who appears aloof but then shows her sharp skills when needed?! The story feels as if Goho Aoyama is leaving things not clearly resolved to pull a string from this story later, or maybe it just isn't important what was in Ms. Wakasa's pocket...but it definitely felt unresolved in some small ways. The next story has to deal with a murder! I will never get used to how people in this series just see a freshly dead body and analyze it without the horror reaction that most people would. Or maybe I am old school, and the world is more desensitized than I think. This case is not resolved in this volume...meaning you need to get your hands on volume 94 of this series!
(baru tahu kalo kaca es ditempeli isolasi malah jadi bening)
Kasus kedua melibatkan Kisaki Eri yg diculik penjahat barisan suami sakit hati.
Iiisshh... Aoyama-sensei... gak kebanyakan nih tokoh yg mirip Shinichi?
At last, saya masih setia dengan Conan. Ditunggu volume berikutnya ya! ;)
Saya berharap semoga komik volume selanjutnya cepat keluar!! :D
Ran Mouri masih lagi tertanya-tanya tentang latar belakang Conan.
My review is probably super biased considering how much I love the anime, but I absolutely love this series! I read a translated version online (different from U.S. copies since Shinichi does not get changed to Jimmy), but I am seriously thinking of grabbing a physical copy to own. The cases are interesting and keep you on your toes, perfect for a mystery lover like me!
damn i started reading this comic since when i was in elementary school and now I'm an adult and heijikazuha love story isn't developing much. whenever he tried to confess it's always get interrupted by other people and now a love rival suddenly showed up????? ARE U KIDDING ME
n e ways that case with kogoro and eri is cute eventhough they ended up quarreling as usual
