Chen Yu-ju has done a remarkable job trying to make classical poetry exciting and accessible to young adults. The writing wasn't anything amazing, but the ideas and execution were. There is little wonder she is known as the "Rick Riordan of the East." I didn't go through the Taiwanese education system, so this was also a fun look at how young people are taught and learn classical poetry. I learned a ton about poetry in a fun, accessible way. I look forward to reading more of her works in the future.
