A beautifully illustrated guided journal that helps women slow down and enjoy life rather than pushing for perfection.
Most women today are frantic, lost in an endless cycle of busyness caused by constant pressure to perform up to unrealistic expectations of perfection, many of which are self-imposed. This journal cuts to the heart of the problem by showing women how to reconnect with their inner selves through solitude, introspection, and contemplation of what's truly important to them as individuals and family members. Give yourself permission to be Present, Not Perfect.
Similar to Start Where You Are, this is a journal to help you slow down, let go, and love yourself more as who you are. Present, Not Perfect is even better as it incorporates a lot more multi-sensory (vision, touch, olfactory, movement, etc) meditation practices to enable you to be more mindful in daily life.
This is more of a journal than a book, though it has some great quotes. I loved it so much! Just like it says, it's really helpful in learning to slow down, let go, and love yourself. If you want to work on mindfulness and being present, this is a great start. I recommend doing it slowly, just a little at a time.
This is more of a journal than book but I liked it! Some pages were better than others. I loved that each page was different. I loved that mindfulness was of importance. It really helped me to slow down and just sit and think and reflect. I absolutely loved where I at to color! This journal did its purpose. I slowed down, I let go and I love who I am!
It's a cute book, but I prefer the art style, quotes, and depth of journal prompts in Meera Lee Patel's books. I'd also be less likely to write directly in this book because it only has glue binding rather than sewn binding, so pages will likely start falling out.
Cute little mindfulness journal. Some good prompts to become more aware & get to know yourself a little. Wouldn't buy it again but enjoyed using it for what it is.
