WONDERFUL charming funny book to get one up and running. one notion: looking for curiosities as spark for creativity... particularly like the idea of "traveling" with a sharpie, marking a face/note whatever on a leaf and leaving it propped where someone might see it...
so the first chapter of this was really good, giving me bunches of ideas of different ways to try drawing, but then he sort of got away from drawing, which was really all I wanted, and got into silly stuff like 'add googly eyes to things you find outside' which are more like littering than art. Really, most of this book was a waste.
this is a great book with creative ways to use paper, objects and indoor/outdoor items as you express your creativity. it would be a great book to use for a 10 minute art challenge with a group of students. 101 different ideas to have fun with.
