Safe Mode

I must say that Safe Mode had me on the edge of my seat. It is not for the faint of heart. Master Tim is brutal and abusive and uses the world of BDSM to victimize women, Thomas Sheridan and the people who work for him make people disappear if they don’t cooperate, and the fact that they are in the porn/snuff movie business adds some darkness to this story. The balance in this story is Grace and Dex realize that they have very different feelings for each other than what they had in college, Dex reconnects with his family and finds out that they always loved him and were proud of him and he finds out how important he is to Deep Six Security. I must say that there was a twist in this story that I did not see coming, a result I did not expect. This was a great story to begin 2017. I highly recommend this book and most definitely look for to the next book in this series.

Do I love all the guys in this series, why of course I do.
Did Safe Mode make me forget all about them and fall head over heels for Dex? Well hell yes it did.
Computer nerd, brainiac, geek. He's all those and more but he's also protective, sexy as hell and has a heart any woman would love to hold captive.
Dexter gave up everything when he chose to do the right thing in his career.
His life changed, his name changed and though he regretted what he'd lost he knew it was all done for the right reasons.
When he crosses paths with the only woman he ever truly cared for and has to save her from a dangerous Dom his life as he knows it.
Grace is trying to find her sister and bring her home. She's been taking care of her niece while her sister runs off doing whatever. After tracking her online to a BDSM resort she knows the only way to get her sister home is to go in as a submissive. What she doesn't realize is that things aren't as on the up an up as they seem.
When she finds herself in too deep a blast from the past comes to her rescue.
But he's changed. He's not the boy she used to know and he goes by another name.
She doesn't realize the can of worms she's opened by giving his real name to the police but she's about to find out.
Dexter did the right thing, he saved the girl and now that could unravel everything he's worked for. Everyone he tried to protect is now at risk and he may lose his job.
Deep Six, Dexter and Grace are all at risk and have to work together for the end goal, but just what does the end mean for Dex?
Love, love LOVED this book. Dexter is my new favorite Deep Six guy an I'm pretty sure nobody will take his place anytime soon. Loved the chemistry between he and Grace as well as his need to protect. He's simply amazing!

This is more like a 3.5, but I rounded up because it had a strong finish. The story is interesting and entertaining, and I enjoyed that there was some humor. In Safe Mode, Grace is trying to find her sister, who met some Dom online and went to his BDSM club/resort to make "movies", but Grace hasn't heard anything from her sister in over a month, so she decides to do something just as stupid as her sister, she contacts the same Dom her sister did and acts like she's into the BDSM lifestyle, but she knows little to nothing about that world, so she doesn't no what she has gotten herself into, but she'll do what she needs to do in order to find her sister. Dexter sees Grace, who he knew in college, in the airport and sees the Dom treating Grace poorly, so he decides to see what's going on because the Grace he knew would've never been into that type of sex play. Dexter is great, and I liked that he is a sexy computer nerd! He's adorkable! I also like the backstory with Grace and Him, and I loved his attitude! Grace on the other hand wasn't so great, she made stupid decisions all the time, and I don't like how she messed up Dexter's life after he helped her out with a really scary situation, but she did sort of grow on me, so it wasn't all bad, but she really was quite helpless. The action scenes were great, and this story actually deals with some intense stuff, which I found to be very interesting and I like that this story took a bit of a darker turn; it was unexpected. There's actually not much BDSM stuff in this book, which I didn't mind too much, but I would've liked more for the sex scenes that were present; they felt a little lacking and incomplete, but luckily, the story kept me interested the whole time, and the Deep Six Security stuff was really cool. I listened to the audiobook version of the story, and the narration felt a bit robotic in the beginning, but by the end it wasn't so bad. I don't know if I just got used to it, or the narrator just got into the flow of the story, but he did an okay job. This was the first book I've read by Becky McGraw, and after reading this book, I'd like to read more in this series, so I'll be checking out more from Becky McGraw!

ANOTHER GREAT READ! I couldn’t wait to see what happened next! Dex Buchanan is Deep Six Securities resident computer geek. Dex has some skeletons in his closet though. But, after putting in almost 6 long hard years and hiding out at the Deep Six compound, it is time for Dex to get back out there and check out new technology at a Vegas convention. He doesn’t even make it through the airport when he spots his old college flame, Grace Wentworth. Grace was the one girl he should never have let go! Something is terribly wrong with what he is seeing and he ends up putting his plans on hold and checking to ensure she is alright. Of course she isn’t. Then, all hell breaks loose!
Ms McGraw touches on the underbelly of Las Vegas with this quick moving and exciting story that touches the dark worlds of BSDM, sex trade, and porno films. Dex’s past comes at him fast and furious with Grace and searching for her sister Marcy, his family, an evil but well connected BSDM Master, and a sinister ex-employer all vying for his attention. Can Dex live up to the “Superman” moniker that some of the guys at Deep Six have put on him?
Not everything is dark in this tale. There are hot scenes! There are some very funny scenes to, and one that should have the “don’t try this at home” warning – you’ll know it when you read it! I’m still shaking my head and laughing at that one! I’ve got to admit, Dex is just my cup of tea – smart, protective, sexy!

I really enjoyed this entry in the series. Dexter Buchanan is such an interesting character. He's never felt he belonged in his family who are all in the military. He feels like his Deep Six teammates are his family, but knows that he's not like them. He is confident with computers and other tech but not so much with people. He's at a conference in Las Vegas when he see Grace Wentworth who was his lover in college. She appears to be mixed up in a BDSM group. Dex knows that is not her style. He follows her and saves her from Master Tim. But, he's arrested for stealing a car and kidnapping. He has to call his Deep Six friends for bail. His brother also shows up because Grace called his mother. David and Susan Logan show up. When they find out that Grace's sister is missing, they agree to stay and help. The story is edge of your seat. There are some very sad parts. I loved how much the Deep Six team cared for Dex. I loved that Dex regained his family. The ending was great!

The Deep Six Security Series is one of the most action packed series of books I've read. Becky McGraw has touched on some pretty sensitive topics that are not pretty, and yet written the books in a way that tells a great story that not only entertains us, but at the same time gives the reader some awareness on the topic.
Safe Mode is no exception. You do not have to read this series in order or have read any of the other books to be able to read this one, it can be read as a stand alone. Dex and Grace dated in college and were lovers, but it ended a long time ago and their lives went in other directions, but when Dex see's Grace in a tough situation while on vacation he steps in to help her. That's a pretty broad description I realize and it is a somewhat intense book. There are a few scenes that may bother someone if they are squeamish, but if you like action packed books, One click this baby!! I Loved it...

Safe mode is seriously HOT Sexy Mode!
This is one if the best stories I have read. The plot pulled me in right from the start. Grace, a respected doctor, is on the hunt to find her missing sister who is lost somewhere in the seedy world of BDSM. While being dragged away her former college boyfriend Dex, a sexy nerd working for Deep Six, sees her at the airport, clearly in distress and decides to follow her to make sure she's ok. Turns out all is NOT ok and do begins their journey to find her sister and maybe find themselves once again. I was so enthralled I read this almost straight through to the end. This book was romantic, sexy, sweet, and fun.
I highly recommend this story and anything by this author. Becky McGraw, You will not be disappointed. The characters are charming and real. People you'd like to know. And the story line is exciting. A+!

While I have always enjoyed Becky McGraw's books, there is something about her Deep Six Security series that stands out from any other. Even though they are from a darker and seedier part of life at times, she still manages to get some of her great humor and the close relationship of the coworkers of Deep Six. This one is about Dax, the computer genius geek and a girl that he had a college affair with. Great story, stomach turning at times, I will admit, but I still got my HEA. Ms. McGraw please keep these great stories coming my way!

Another Outstanding book in this Awesome series!
Loved the complexity of Dex's past and how it all played out in the story line. Although I really liked Grace, I can't believe anyone in this day would walk into this situation all by herself - beyond naive - just plain idiotic. They were indeed "two misfits who just fit."
So great to be reunited with my Deep Six family.

There is more to the geeky Dex. Follow this amazing journey in which you will cry, laugh, cheer, drop, your jaw and get so mad you will catch yourself going are you kidding me. At one point I actually said out loud " I did not see that coming" and burst into tears. Well done Ms Becky McGraw well done

Dex and Grace were perfect together and Dex's brothers and the interaction between them all was so great. I hope Dex gets to keep working for HOT!! I would be interested in reading stories about all of his brothers. The books in this series get better and better. Can't wait to read the next one!!

LOVE this series!
I highly recommend reading the books in order so you will become familiar with all the characters. There is angst, turmoil, mystery, violence & love - everything needed to make a good read.
My only negative is to the author. If you’re going to put something in your books, please use them correctly. You stand on a podium/dias & speak from a lectern.

Danger and desire
Grace is trying to find and save her sister and Dex stumbles upon her. He decides to help her and it leads to desire and a lot of danger. Dex needed to be more confident and their communication could have been better but the overall story is interesting with the good guys winning for the most part. 4.5 stars

One of the things I love the most about this series is the camaraderie. They joke around to ease the mood when things get tough. Most importantly they are family to each other, not by blood but by choice.
We get a close look at Dex in this one and everything we thought we knew goes right out the window.
Grace is looking for her sister, but where that leads her is far more dangerous than she realized. This is a favorite scene after Dex gets her out of the clutches of a not so worthy DOM, with him arrested and in the hospital with an allergic reaction.
It gets even more intriguing as the team takes on the task of finding Grace's sister.
Dex reunites with his family and their are surprises at almost every turn.
There are parts of this that were difficult to read because of the situation and the detailed descriptions of what is going on. Definitely not a read for the faint of heart.

I absolutely love Safe Mode by Becky McGraw, it is a great addition to her Deep Six Security series. Grace heads to Las Vegas to find her sister and runs head on into trouble. Dex, who is on vacation recognizes Grace at the airport and senses that she's in trouble. While trying to help Grace, Dex had to deal with the skeleton in his closet and face demons that he's been avoiding for years. The heat and passion that Grace and Dex have is off of the charts! I fell head over heels for Dex. He is a true alpha in his own sense and the way he protects Grace tugs at your heart. Dex has now taken the number one spot in the men of Deep Dix Security.

I have only read a few SEAL based books and I love the Alpha Hero mold that these guys are based on. Real Heros, but who have real hearts.
Becky McGraw did an awesome job in her main character Dexter and even though this is Book 4 and I have not read the other 3 books I did not get lost and the other team members were introduced into the story well. I love when I find books like this, true stand-alone books that will make you want to go find the other books that were previously released and read them as well.
I have enjoyed Becky's books that I have read before, mainly her Cowboy Series, I am a sucker for Cowboys too.
In this book Dexter, the Geek on the Deep Six Security team is heading to Vegas for a trade show, but he never makes it, as when he spots a sexy woman struggling at the luggage carousel, his first thought was to go help, but before he has the chance she is taken grabbed by a guy. As she turned he recognises her and alarm bells start ringing as the guy who has her in his grasp does not match the image of his old college fling, as Grace is pushed into the limo he makes a decision that may cost him dearly.
His Honour and upbringing means he can't ignore his gut, he reacts on instincts and follows, what he sees confuses the heck out of him, his gut is screaming that she is in trouble and he has had too many missions where this feeling was true. As the branded Silver Chains Resort Limo takes the pair away, at least having a destination to follow and after a little digging, he knows that he needs to make sure that she is ok, his need to protect driving him to sign up for the BDSM welcome brunch, and that's when all the fun starts.
Dexter has been hiding some pretty big secrets from his team, and when he gets arrested rescuing Grace, and she calls his estranged brother to come bail him out he realises his life may just start unraveling, but that won't stop him wanting to help Grace, with his Deep Six Security team, and his brothers help will they succeed?
That's all the plot you are going to get, I don't like giving too much away, but what I will say is I loved how Ms. McGraw has kept it real, not every mission is a success, sometimes there are casualties.
This was a page turning read, I stayed up well into the night to finish it.

WOW!!! JUST WOW!!! Another fantastic read by Becky McGraw. Not only is this book action packed it gives you all the feels. Dexter and Grace reunite after 8 years in Sin City. Both realize the chemistry is still smokin hot between them. The reconnect while trying to find Grace's sister which brings together the Deep Six Security to Vegas to help Dexter and Grace. This book is a must read and I highly recommend it.

Dexter Buchanan was obviously a brainiac, since he graduated from MIT with a Master’s degree at 23. During his time at MIT he and Grace Wentworth “hooked” up. Dex may have wanted more, but, Grace would not allow any commitment. When Dex graduated before Grace, they both went their separate ways. That was 8 years ago.
Dex’s father helped him get a I.T. job with a large Government Contractor, Sheridan Enterprise. But, when the owner asked him to doctor a report for the government, he suspected he was being set up to take a fall. Safe Mode: Deep Six Security is #4 in the series. This story highlights Dex's story but you will be sure to read about previous members!
Dex is part of the geek squad at Deep Six security. He comes from an family that has had all the men going into the service, well until him. Dex's eyesight has prevented him from following in his fathers footsteps. Dex worked for another company that ended with him going into hiding and having to change his name when he was just 23. Dex is finally taking a vacation to Vegas to check out some new technology for Deep Six and he's looking forward to talking to people that speak his language. While in the airport Dex see's someone he recognizes and who's been on his mind lately but she doesn't seem to recognize him, but how would she since they were an item back in college.
Dr. Grace Wentworth was wondering what in the world she was thinking when she found herself in a situation where she was being called "kitty" and dressed in leather and spikes...thats right, she needed to find her sister. Grace's sister hasn't been back in a month and after a search on the internet leads her to a hotel in Vegas for BDSM she decides the only way to find her is to go undercover. Grace decides that the situation has gone to far and tries to avoid leaving the hotel when out of know where Master Tim is on the floor and she's being taken from the hotel by a guy in leather chaps and a mask. When the cops catch up and she gets the mask of her hero she realizes the man in front of her was her college sweetheart that was suppose to be dead. Dex see's her recognition just before he passes out from having an allergy reaction, only to wake up and see her by his side and all unravels.
This storyline is a very intense subject, however I feel that Becky McGraw did very well with leveling it out to give some good with the bad. I HIGHLY recommend this book!!

Interesting!
The plot of this book surprised me at first because it was what I was expecting having read the other books in this series. That being said, it was hard for me to connect to the story in the beginning BUT, once I understood what was happening I couldn't put the book down!! I loved the relationship between Dex and Grace how it comes full circle for them to finally get their HEA!!

This is the fourth book in the Deep Six Security series and I must say that they just keep getting better. This is the story of Dexter Buchanan, a geek who now works for Deep Six Security but only for the last six years. He is just about to go on vacation to Vegas and couldn't be happier. At the airport he happens to see someone from his past, Dr. Grace Wentworth, an old friend with benefits. Something about the man she is with sets off all kinds of alarm bells with Dex, and even though he wants to mind his own business, he just can't. Grace is in Vegas for a totally different reason than Dex, seems her feisty sister may have gotten involved with some bad men at a BDSM resort, and Grace needs to find her. For someone as smart as Grace, she sure doesn't seem to have a lot of common sense and ends up being thankful to Dex and his spidey sense. This book has a lot of twist and turns but I am not going to give anymore away, just do yourself a favor and read this one.
I have always been a huge fan of Becky McGraw and her cowboys, but she has also pulled me in with this series. There are some painful, sadistic but real issues dealt with in this book and I think that Becky McGraw did an outstanding job in the way she handled the storyline. There are some lighthearted scenes in this book that will have you laughing out loud. Not only did I love the chemistry between Dex and Grace, I also enjoyed meeting his family members, and getting to catch up with some of the other members of Deep Six Security. This book is intense but also loaded with romance, love, lust, friends and family.

Geeks Rule!!!! Nerds Rock!!! Oh my, Dex is so sexy. HOT HOT HOT!! What an amazing hero. Gushing over, okay maybe not. Love a man that knows his strengths but is willing to still work on other things. The cover doesn't do my imagination justice.

But there was always an air of secrecy. There was more to Dex but until Safe Mode he kept his mouth shut. He kept to himself. He was a loner. His best friend, another geek, Gray plays with the numbers at Deep Six. See--no life outside of the team.
What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas unless you are Dex. Within minutes of stepping off the plane, with a mission to buy new toys for the team, everything changes. He recognizes a woman being treated poorly by a man. It doesn't make sense. Grace would never tolerate being a Sub. He may have recognized her, but she looks right past him.
HIs job forgotten, Dex needs to know what is going on. He needs answers and he is just the man to find them. Get ready for a wild ride. Not everything in Vegas is fun and games. Not everything is easily explained. Not everyone can be saved. And secrets cannot be buried forever.
Hold on to your hat. Be ready for shock and awe. Learn the importance of teamwork. Most important, just because you are a geek doesn't mean that you can't have it all. 4.5 Amazing Stars! Grace's sister is missing it and she is trying to find her and bring her home. Grace finds out that she has been going to a BDSM Resort and the only way to get her is by going in as a submissive. When she gets herself into trouble she has someone from her past to come rescue her. Dexter is a member of the Deep-Six Security Team and has saved the girl now he is trying to protect everything he did and hopes not to lose his job in the process. Dexter and Grace have to work together to get her sister home. Will they be able to work together and will Dexter not lose his job? This story had me on the edge of my seat and I could not put the book down. The story is full of plenty of twists and turns, suspense, and romance. This is the first book I have read by Ms. McGraw and I will definitely be looking for more! The story is well written and the characters are very likeable. This is the fourth book in the Deep Six Security Series and I will definitely be looking for the next book! I highly recommend it!
