Using his interesting writing style, occasionally peppered with situations encountered in the FBI or CIA, Mr. Daugherty gives practical advice on how to develop more confidence and get through situations which ordinary people encounter every day - and those unusual occurrences which take all of our wits and preparation to get through - or out of - without letting others dictate our actions.

Saying "no" and sticking to that position is harder than it sounds. This book is valuable to learn to do that - and not overly question or criticize yourself for having said no for your own self-interest.

Had some good insights on how to build confidence, and habits I'm beginning to practice daily. However I could've done without the spy anecdotes honestly. I found myself skipping past them frequently.

The title says it all. It's a short read from the mind of a former spy who developed certain techniques to make him successful at his job -- techniques also useful in daily life. His book on Persuasion is also worth reading.

It's fine. Pretty basic confidence self-help tips with a twist of being presented by a former spy.

This is a very informative book. It really opened my eyes to the value of body language. I didn't read the bonus material, as I only purchased this book for the body language study.
