Packed with inspiration, humor and some tough love.
'Excuse me...You're in Your Way', goes beyond the contemporary lessons of - time management, dealing with heart-breaks, failure, building confidence - to offer a new and wider perspective on all things troubling.
Written for all who are 14 years or older this 109 pages book is even for those who 'judge a book by its thickness'.
Get to know what it means to be HAPPY, not just 'FINE'
I wasn't sure at first whether I would like the book or not - or really what it was about - but as I kept reading it gained momentum and definitely pulled through until the end. There are a ton of anecdotes and inspirational quotes about how a change in mindset - what the author specializes in and is sharing - can change a negative or disparaging outlook on life and change the outcome of the action or thoughts that were not helpful. Some examples:
"Every problem just assumes the shape and dimension you give it."
"It is not just the hour that holds value. It is what we decide to do with that time that defines its worth."
Once you get into it it is a bit of a fun read, lighthearted and inspirational.
A fantabulous self help book carrying simple guidelines lead a happy and successful life.Annikaa Agarwal has crafted the book in a beutiful manner. After finishing the book i have felt the impact I wish I would read the book whenever time permits me.I admire the language and the way she has penned it.The paragraphs contain minimum sentences and make the reading easy. The messages are powerful.I recommend this book to all who want to change in thier life.It is a highly motivational and inspiring book.
A series of meandering musings on life, with an emphasis on the power of choice. It is peppered with personal anecdotes and inspirational quotes. I like the self-help books I read to be more structured, with clearly laid out advice, suggestions etc. This book is for those who prefer a general motivational message. Each chapter is a quick read, and the author suggests you can dive in anywhere instead of reading in a linear fashion.
Hi friends!!! Thanks a lot Annikaa for giving me a chance to review your beautiful book.
Summary: This is a book of 2 genres, namely, Self-help and Non-fiction. It is power packed with love, inspiration and humor. It is written for those who "Judge a book by its thickness". It tells about what it is meant to be "Happy" and not just "Fine".
My views: Generally, these types of books are comparatively long with many examples and stories. But, the author had written a small book with correct usage of quotations and life situations. The book is very short and sweet. Each and every chapter contains an unique subject and does not interlink with the next chapter. So, one can understand whichever chapter they select to read. But, the author guides the reader that it should be good if he or she starts with the "Introduction" chapter and then read the selected chapter.
The book has a simple language and contains only 12 chapters in all or 109 pages in total (including let's begin, what this is not). There is also an extra page called "Excuse me - just musing" that gives a gist of the completed chapter. All the chapter contains quotations from famous people to justify the author's point of view.
On the whole, it is a book packed with less number of pages and more number of subject content to find oneself with solutions to all problems troubling them and how to deal with "No" situations. Last, but not the least calling the trouble as it is without beating the bush or as shown in the back cover "No Sugar Coating, it is finally a bold move to call a spade a spade"
After a long time, I had the happiness of reading an awesome book!!!!
