The only person who can save it is the Doctor. Or River Song. Or quite possibly another Doctor. Or maybe this whole situation is their fault in the first place.
Two Doctors. One River. An infinite number of ways to destroy the world.
In and of itself, this is a mess. As the conclusion to a four-part adventure it’s an even bigger mess. Big Finish again sacrifices coherent storytelling for clickbait casting. Yes, a ménage à trois! But the plot is forced and borderline nonsensical.
A nice finishing up for this series. Fun, entertaining and interesting story and some nice character bits. And I’m surprised that, in the end, the writer was actually able to bring all the loose ends to s satisfying conclusion.
Sort of a part two continuing from disc three - though River is the only character following over. Certainly they've saved the best for the grand finale. River meets two Doctors at the same time. Six and Seven. Really loved this one. It's a bit of historical adventure featuring jailed author Daniel Defoe and a quantum reality/quantum possibility eating creature that is actually quite ingenious. I kind of hope it's an idea that gets adapted for television.
