GOD Is the Issue-Becoming an Agent of Real Change

Rate this book
If God does not exist then morality is merely a fairy tale on the level of Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. If God does not exist then there is nothing wrong with abortion, homosexuality, slavery, pedophilia, rape or even murder. In God is the issue, Brad Bright makes the case that the only way to change society is to change society’s view of God.

An immoral people cannot rule themselves. They must BE ruled. Somebody must tell them, from outside of themselves, was right and what is just. And it’s not that the immoral are incapable of ruling themselves, they’re just unwilling. Everyone simply does what they feel is right “in their own eyes”. Authority is for others, not themselves. So the authorities must use more and more force, to just insure peace. The “moral” on the other hand can rule themselves, and therefore can truly be free. Because they are willing to run their own lives according to a precept outside of themselves, and to do so in a fashion that protects “the other”. Christians are gonna have to find their voice. We’re gonna have to stand up to Evil. Stop loosening arguments before they start. Reframe, regroup, then take the high ground.
