Nightshade: A Witch's Vendetta
With Victor dead and Nightshade transitioning to a new ruler, Olivia and Quinn settle into their new life of peace as they move forward with their relationship. Too short
Pros: this was a great continuing story of Olivia and Quinn. Olivia came clean to her best friend of vampires. A nice surprise happened. There is werewolves (shape shifters).
Cons: This book was over at 57%. Not sure were Mary is going to fit in the story. I am hoping that she and one of the other vampires will end up together. I didn't like how at the end of the book Mary was forgotten but Eva got the epilogue.

This is the second book in the Nightshade series. Quinn and Olivia are together and doing their best to move on with their relationship now that Victor is gone. Eva a witch who has always hated vampires and wants a war has vow vengeance against the vampires. Find Quinn's weakness and kidnaps Olivia to sacrifice her to the Goddess for eternal life. Can't tell you any more. Want to find out what happens going to have to read it yourself.

Quinn is a powerful vampire and he has fallen for Olivia, a human. Eva, a vicious vindictive evil witch has fled from Nightshade, the vampire's compound vowing vengeance on Quinn and Olivia. When she learns that Olivia is pregnant with Quinn's child, she attacks Nightshade, kidnaps Olivia and prepares to sacrifice the unborn baby to a goddess in return for eternal life. Quinn and his friends and allies rescue Olivia and place Eva in magic draining cuffs and in a cell to await trial and execution. But Eva is planning to manipulate people at her trial and to take Quinn down. When she tried to sacrifice Olivia and Quinn's baby, I wanted to crawl into the book and kill her myself. Guess I will have to wait for Nightshade 3 to see Eva get her just desserts. I was gifted a free copy from the author with no obligation and I have freely written this review.
