Make models of castle buildings and little knights, and plan a medieval battle scene that uses the mini-launchers from other books in this series. All you need are everyday items and some adult help. Deploy your launchers on both sides of the castle, jump to your stations, and attack. Bite-sized facts explain how these parts of a castle worked in history too!
Ives, Rob Castle Attack: Make your Own Medieval Battlefield 32 pgs. (Hungry Tomato) Lerner, 2017. $8.00 NON-FICTION
This book guides readers step-by-step through the process of creating their very own Knights, Drawbridge, castle Towers, portcullis, round tower and siege tower…all adding up to a Medieval Battlefield. Lots of detailed instructions featuring simple illustrations.
This looks like a ton of fun and I love the history connection. The plastic egg knights are hilarious. Just like the launcher book in this same series, I think photographs would have absolutely made this book, ditching all the illustrations. I sort of wish DK had gotten their hands on this first. The cover is just drab and dull though, so just for that reason I probably wouldn’t seek this out to add to my library.
