John Worsley Simpson was born in Bradford, Yorkshire, emigrated to Canada as a young child and grew up in Toronto. He attended elementary and secondary schools in East York and Scarborough, and McMaster University in Hamilton, and is currently taking courses at Laurentian University. He was a journalist for many years, most recently as an editor with a major international news service. He is married and has two grown sons. He and his wife, Colleen, live in Barrie, Ontario. Simpson is the author of a mystery series published by Mercury Press: Undercut, Counterpoint, Shadowmen and Debt of Death. The first three have been re-edited and published as e-books by MuseItUp Publishing as Stark, a Harry Stark Mystery; Stark Choice and Stark Shadows.
