Tappavia riffejä, massiivista soundia ja goottilaista kauhukuvastoa. Tässä resepti, jolla The 69 Eyes on valloittanut maapalloa Tokiosta Hollywoodiin ja Rovaniemeltä Sao Pauloon.Merihaan vampyyrit aloittivat uransa moottoroidulla glamrockilla, josta hypätty loikka kohti tummanpuhuvaa goottirockia muutti Suomi-rockin tulevaisuutta. Nykyään The 69 Eyes on Suomen suurimpia rockin vientivaltteja ja ja Nightwishin ohella Skandinavian seuratuimpia bändejä.Valokuvaaja Ville Juurikkala on toiminut vuosia The 69 Eyesin hovikuvaajana. Tätä kirjaa varten hän kiersi kuukauden The 69 Eyesin kanssa bändin ensimmäisellä Amerikan kiertueella, joka avasi heille lopullisesti oven Yhdysvaltojen levymarkkinoille. Lisäksi Juurikkala on kuvannut yhtyeen Brasilian, Japanin ja Euroopan kiertueet, jotka ovat myös päätyneet kuvina kirjaan.

I saw the 69 eyes for the first time in 2001 in Karlsruhe. also met the band afterwards in karlsruhes best metal club, unverschämt. ever since then I've seen them a few more times while I lived in Finland. they were always great fun to see live. sadly it's been a very long time since they never seem to stop by here. ^^ photo books are a nice memory, but there is the danger of becoming too much of a quick page turner. the sentenced book by Vesa Ranta was awesome. now also this one had a few nice bits and pieces from jyrki in Finnish and I must say that was needed to give the book a nice atmosphere and vibe. I would have wanted more of that, small bits of every place we see in the pics. there is only a small description in the end from Jussi. the pics are diverse and entertaining. I got this book second hand from levykauppa äx and I'm glad I got it, a nice book for the collection ☺️
