Not my favorite Sam Prichard Mystery.
With the exception of the Next book in this Series, I have read, and enjoyed every book that David Archer has written to date.
My enjoyment of this book, , and my respect for Mr Archer, have both been damaged by the racism, and right-wing propaganda included here. It is not only wrong, and anti-American, it is disappointing for a mind capable of such big ideas and imaginative characters, to inject such small-minded, wrong-headed crap into one of his stories.
This book made me wonder if Mr Archer writes his stuff while watching Fox News, listening to Rush Limbaugh on the radio, while streaming Alex Jones's Info Wars on his phone.
The slander of President Obama, as an inept tool of the Muslim Brotherhood, and his portrayal of Secretary Clinton as some diabolical International villain, both detract and distract from the normal pace and cohesion we expect from a David Archer novel.
Those Trumpian tropes included here, make me wonder about both the patriotism, and the intellect, of someone I previously admired. For a Veteran, and a Patriot, these are indelible impressions. I don't think I'll be the only concerned citizen who will be disgusted and dismayed by this senseless destruction of a promising career, all because Mr Archer doesn't respect us enough to leave the anti-American neo-Conservative bullshit in his head, and not ruin his writing with it. Sad

All of the books kept my attention. The final story completed the circle. Recommend that the reader start with the first book and continue in sequence to the last book.
All of the books Will keep your attention. Difficult to stop reading until you reach the end of each installment. Recommend that the reader go in sequence starting with the first book. Each volume builds on the previous book a la Stig Larson's books

I've read the Sam Prichard series since the first book, and I honestly say this will be my last one. The writing consistently deteriorated as I progressed through the series.
There is very little character development here. Sam comes off as a very unbelievable character. A retired cop on disability, turned private eye, with a side gig as a singer in a country band, that gets called on by DHS to save to world every other week.
The author seems to not have put much thought into the rest of the characters either. Most of what he writes he seems to have plucked off of what he's seen on some tv shows...Indie, Sam's world class hacker wife, supposedly has created a near AI-level program that can hack itself into networks that would take a supercomputer to get into, yet she manages to do this with just a laptop. She's able to get into networks of telecom companies as well and surveillance networks of foreign countries, without getting detected, just because she's using a "satellite relay".
Harry, who at one point was supposedly a CIA assassin, uses as his home defense weapon, one of the worlds most inaccurate guns, an Ingram machine pistol.
While the premise to the Drifter story arc is a very interesting one, the author does absolutely nothing with it other than use it as a vehicle to further conservative political propaganda and anti left wing conspiracy theories.
Very little is done to describe surroundings in detail, and while the author actually mentions author Dan Brown while talking about the city of Rome, Mr. Archer could have done himself a favor and at least used some of Brown's literary style to inject a little bit more description into the book.
The protagonist travels to DC, Jerusalem, and finally Rome, and 3 cities chock full of history and culture, yet the author barely touches on any of that.
There is very little substance to this book as well as the previous few Sam Pritchard stories at all.
I honestly don't know where all the positive reviews are coming from.
If you are a fan of the Jack Reacher, Special Agent Pendergast, or Robert Langdon series' you will be disappointed.

There were a lot of twists and turns in his last one which is to be expected given that it was the final compilation of all three stories. I’m not sure what to think about the whole plot… I suppose it’s possible that could happen exactly like that. I am a Christian but I have to admit that I haven’t really considered things unfolding the way that was described. But regardless it was very well written very well thought out and research very interesting Lee. I’m really looking forward to doing some cross-referencing to see The whole prophecies in context… Not the biblical ones, the others. I have to say that Sam had a grand plan that he kept pretty close to his fast which of course was a bit of an eyebrow raise to the reader… But it turned out very well as always. Looking forward to the next series.

Scary Good 👍
It's almost a prophetic account of the world we live in now... Now being the 2019! With a few exceptions re the previous holder of the "Oval Office" ; who as it's turning out was considerably better than we gave him credit for.
Not that he was great, but he did put in place some safeguards that were a hedge against the things that his successor got rid of that cost a great many lives and cost a lot more their chance at a living wage.
The present most powerful man in the world would almost certainly be the man who Chandler would make the "Figurehead of his new world order..Because he is so easily manipulated (his ego alone would do it.

Drifter is an exciting, unimaginable series
I very much enjoyed the premise of the three Drifter books. The premise was well conceived and I enjoyed the interaction of all the characters and the introduction of two more heroes. I think any mystery and intrigue enthusiasts would enjoy them also!

Just finished Book #8 in David Archer's Sam Prichard series. Again I wasn't disappointed. The author kept me on my toes and guessing what was coming next. Now I'll have to find some more of his works so I can keep doing what I love to do. Read.

Sam faced with reality, of what the three of them were up against, hunting
a man who thinks he is indestructible and a false prophet. This is a story woven around prophecy and what men in power do with it. Well done and intriguing with all three parts coming together.

The Final book in the Drifter Trilogy was interesting, because the author really reveals his Political Beliefs. The author understands Religion and the conflict between Christianity and Islam. Sam Pritchard is a great character and would make an amazing movie series.

Awesome book, nice twist at the end I didn't see coming at all. I've read a lot of David Archer's books, it wasn't the best he's ever wrote but still a really awesome read.

Interestingly enough, the songs in the book have a link to the actual music!

I started this series by coming across the first book when it was free. David Archer had me hooked after the first book that I just HAD to keep reading until the eight and final book of this series! The suspense on what was going to happen next kept my eyes peeled to my kindle. I would stay up until 4 am sometimes reading because I just had to know what was going to happen. I have found once I start a series I become hooked to the characters, this was very true for the characters in the Sam Prichard novels. I also really enjoyed David Archer adding current events that are happening in the world and giving them a little twist. I found humor in that. I am sad to have finished this series but look forward to David Archer's other novels!
