All Quentin Brinks ever wanted to do was get money and make his late grandfather proud. He was left his grandfather’s dealership but his estranged father has an issue with that and doesn't have a problem with letting it be known.
Quentin is bound and determined to hold onto the dealership and make the most of the opportunity that he has been blessed with the legal way, but unfortunately, theres no money in the inventor that his grandfather left him, so he makes a deal with the devil to move weight until he can get enough money to sell the type of cars that will bring him the income he needs to be a legitimate business owner.
Braliegh is Quentin's feisty girlfriend who doesn't let her past affect her. She doesn't back down and says whatever is on her mind and as much as she tries to stay away from trouble, her enemies are a lot closer than she little than she thinks.
Jeremiah Reid is Quentin's business Partner and Quentin's best friend and he all he wants to do is live life on the straight and narrow, but life isn't always that simple and things change when he gets caught up and pulled into the same criminal life that Quentin and Jeremiah were trying their best to steer clear of. The only plus is that Jeremiah meets Jessie.
Jessie comes back to town after years of trying to make it on her one. When she runs into her long time best friend Braliegh she finds herself around Jeremiah, whos everything she wants. Only thing is Jessie is in a relationship but will that matter to Jeremiah?
Things take drastic turns a in everyone's live. Relationships change, People aren't who they seem and lives are effected. Will everything be worth it in this Rise of An Empire?
Damn that was good. Jeremiah is so damn funny. Braleigh funny too. I hate what happened to her. It was many cliffhangers. I can't wait to see what happens in book 2.
I enjoyed this book. The story and it's characters will have you wondering what the hell is next. Although some mistakes, it doesn't change the way the story flows.
This story is a nice switch up, the woman have stronger and more dominate personalities. The story started off a Lil drawn out in the beginning, but when Jessie came along things pick up. The characters seemed to open up more, even with Mercedes more in the story. Jessie's story with Duece was more interesting and I like the confidence Jay has. The story is filled with them all taking shots at one another which made it funny, but at times it was over kill. I like the turn of events, they brought more action to the story. Shelby double crossing Lee, the bleaching, and then the ending. Those events gave the story the juice it needed and I hope that in part 2 it keeps that same action and anticipation.
Love this book. Good read. Liked the storylines of all the characters, just hope I don't have to wait forever for part 2. Don't know how that works. I knew his father was going to do some messed up stuff. Know he was the one who burned down the business too and the one that raped Breleigh.
U did ur thing with this book I can't wait for part 2 but who us after Lee and what is up with that Mina chick she sound kinda shady especially after having q arrested and Chanel idk if that's Jeremiah baby and omg Jeremiah is mouth is reckless he has no filter and his mom is the same I'm glad Jessie messed up deuces house the way she did
It really irritates me when ppl get raped n instead of them going to the hospital n getting checked out for std n pregnancy they close themselves off from the world which I get but damn still b smart about the shit alright book
This story is a good read. Well written with a steady flow. Likable characters with a good amount of drama. Real life issues with family dysfunction. A good cliffhanger at the end. Ready for part 2
