This Bible study book was one of the best I have ever done in my life. And it just so happened to be extremely applicable to the struggles I had been experiencing in life at the time and it is still encouraging me. I highly recommend this study to anyone! it was such a delight to have a supplement to reading my bible and having something that encouraged me to dig deeper and really search the scriptures.

This Bible study had some really good parts, but much of it was a bit predictable for me. I didn’t feel challenged much in my faith. This would probably be really good for someone who is young in the faith. I don’t know—maybe it’s just me. I often feel like these types of bible studies are just more of the same. Like Christian women are too mired in their emotional issues to really get out in the world and do something. I would rather be told to quit my whining and get out of my safety zone so I can practice what Jesus preaches.

Finding I Am is such a vibrant and touching Bible study. I participated in a women's group study of it; and it really was amazing to listen and grow through it.

Lysa TerKeurst does such a wonderful job of pointing us back to the original text as we go through six I Am statements of Jesus. I cried, I grew, and I am learning to trust.

This Bible Study was so empowering, so personal, so rich in Jesus and His Truth that I couldn't stop. I read the whole book and did all of the activities, minus the videos, in 4 afternoons. I grew closer to the Lord, I learned more Bible truths, and I found I AM right in the heart of each heart-felt word. This study will be a tough one to beat. Its authenticity, its strict adherence to biblical truth and culture, and the author's personal search in finding I AM make this irreplaceable.

I didn't get much from this. It felt watered/dumbed down to me. I didn't feel like a lot of work/research went into writing the study, and for the video sections, it felt like she was just making up what she was saying as she went along and not saying much of anything of substance. I don't know, maybe I've outgrown her studies?

If you want a really good Bible study, I recommend Bible Study Fellowship, which hopefully meets in your city.

I "read" this because a friend wanted me to join a study group for this book with her. Knowing that Lysa terkeurst is considered a false teacher, I skimmed over most of her study notes, and concentrated on reading the Bible and supporting materials such as Matthew Henry's commentary. The author is known to twist Scripture, and I would not expose myself to future false teachings from her books.

This is one of my favorite Bible studies. A wonderful way to spend time with God and learn more about Him. There are so many aspects that spoke deeply to me, but I particulary loved the chapters about the shepherds, and light vs. darkness. Lysa has an amazing gift and her voice is very clear and relatable. I have done other studies by her, which I have liked as well, but this one sits at the top. We had great discussions and the videos are good too. I highly recommend this for your next Bible Study.

Lysa TerKeurst is a gem! She's the real deal. She knows suffering and pain, and teaches you how to connect with the Lord, feel peace and strength, despite your circumstances.

She is a very conversational writer, who literally makes me laugh out loud sometimes. Other times, the intimate stories she shares with you will bring you to tears. She's an excellent Biblical teacher (who works with a Biblical scholar), who always has you digging deeply into the Word. This has brought a deeper intimacy and understanding of the Lord's love for me.

One of my favorite sections in this study is when she has you dig into the OT prophecies and juxtapose them with the NT prophecy fulfilled. One example is Psalm 41:9 versus John 13:21-27. Both speak to the one who takes the bread, is the one who betrays. While the prophecies fulfilled strengthen my faith and make the Word even more powerful for me, there was something else God revealed to me.

It was truly the God Immanuel, intimacy that we can have with him at all times. In that section of John 13, Peter was asking who would betray Jesus. But the Word describes Peter leaning with his head on Jesus' chest, while asking these questions. I have read that verse numerous times. But this time that just struck me. They were lying around resting, snuggling, chatting like a group of close family or friends would do. How beautiful! Praise be to God!

I also do this study with some friends. We do 1 week a month bc it's so rich. Then we watch her teaching video, discuss and pray. We love it! ❤️

Just WOW! As 2017 approached I made a promise to myself to grow. Grow personally and to grow spiritually. Each week as you work through this study you see how God works in our lives for good. Digging deep in scripture and laying it out in an easy to read and understand format Lysa takes you a step further in Bible reading and understanding. I was sad when the series ended.

As a plus: The videos for this study are set in breathtaking locations.

Finding I AM is a Bible study that focuses on the "I AM" statements made by Jesus (ex: "I AM the bread of life", "I AM the light of the world", etc.). It is a thorough study including a look at some of the language originally used in the ancient texts and personal application. This book does not feel as personal as Lysa Terkeurst's other books. There's a reason for that, but because of my familiarity with her other work, I felt like this one was missing something.

Another amazing bible study by Lysa! As usual she mixes personal stories with biblical truth to make a great study! Personally needed the in depth searching this study offered, that along with the weekly videos and group time were greatly appreciated and helpful right now. It teaches about the 7 I AM statements in John. There are one or two a week with fill in the blanks spots for a deeper study time.

She also has you digging deeper into the Bible as you go.
