I forgot how intense the second book in the Cane series was going to be. I loved the story from Evelyn’s point of view and it just gets more intense from Jonah’s. There was so much that Jonah was missing and as much as he says that Evelyn doesn't value herself enough he doesn't value himself enough either. I felt like the moments paralleled beautifully and finding out more about Jonah just blew me away. I couldn't imagine having his past, it kind of explains why he is the way that he is. I enjoyed the plot and the twists and turns. The ending twist just threw me for a loop even though I knew it was coming. I cannot wait to get the third book from Jonah’s point of view!

As I've stated before, I like Jonah's POV much more than Evelyn's. Knowing both sides does make a difference in what I think of the book. I would say that communication would change everything but when emotions get in the way, it's difficult. I'm glad Evelyn decided to grown a spine.

There are advantages and drawbacks to reading a different POV from a book you are dying to get your hands on the next in the series. I love the glimpse into Jonah's head but hate the cliffhanger more today than i did when I read the book earlier in the month.
Come on Lacey! I'm barely hanging on by a thread!

I love this series and reading Jonah's POV is great! He's such an arrogant jerk sometimes, but I can't help but love him. Darker truth is a roller coaster ride with Jonah and Evelyn and the ending (or lack of) is perfect for these two. I can't wait to see what's in store for them next!

This book is one I really wanted to read from Cane's POV. I was dying to know what he was thinking when he was talking to his boss Mark about Evie. Turns out, I like him even better than before which is saying a lot cause I really liked him before. I cannot believe how great the writing is for these books. I am very hard to please when it comes to finding books I like. I read all 6 of Lacey's books within 2 days, working a full time job and raising 2 kids. That's how amazing her books are....READ THEM, you will not regret it.

How cool to see things through his perspective! Jonah Cane always seems so confident and intimidating, so it's eye opening to see what really goes on in his head. This series is so thrilling, and sexy. I love it.
