I love, love, love this book!!! It is a beautifully illustrated little gem that I intend to keep at my bedside for a good long time. As soon as I got it, I read through all of the 50 exercises. They range from breathing and meditation techniques to mindful activities to incorporate into daily life. There is a photo at the beginning of each section that can be used to enhance the activity being described. There are also several pages that the reader can color. I like the book so much that I’ve given it as a gift to family and friends. This one is a keeper! I highly recommend Calm: 50 Mindfulness and Relaxation Exercises to De-Stress and Unwind by Dr. Arlene K. Unger to anyone looking to modulate the stress of the 21st Century.
I received this book as a gift and it was a nice little read. The text itself was not really my cup of tea but it was an easy read and there were some things worth saving. If anything, I think I know something who’d really like this book that I can pass it on to.
This is a good book to read one mindfulness exercise at a time. I would read an exercise at night and then try to put it into practice the next day. My favorite is number 25 where you imagine sling-shooting all your distractions away.
it is a great book to read and look at... but it's probably better to try/ exercise it right away.
Does it sound easy to try? yes. Do i feel encouraged to try the exercises? Absolutely. Will i do it or apply it on daily basis/real life? Probably not. I do want to. It's just i don't feel encouraged enough to do it. I need it though.
Still, great and fun book! maybe it's better to take this book outside to the park and exercise right away.... I read it when i was at work so that's the worst idea.
There's some really good thoughts in this book. Some of the exercises seem and feel a bit funny or weird but many of them... They really make you think differently and relax. I really liked it. There's different meditation exercise sections to focus on: relationship, being good to yourself, job and work... There is literally an exercise for every kind of situation. Also gotta love how this book looks like. It's so cute and also easy to take on the go!
I enjoy reading this book. the book told me to exercise to turn even the dullest chore into meditative experience that can reconnect with feelings of calm and well being. as a housewife, I actually hate doing my chores, but thankfully I enjoy it a bit.

I’ve had this book for a few years and occasionally read parts of it. I most recently read it from start to finish and absolutely loved it!! Such positive and helpful tips you can easily use each day. I see myself throughout the day now using these. This will be a book I will continue to keep and read again in the future, but also pass on to family members to read. 10/10
Great book unpretentious you dont get the..I'm superior vibe that you get from some self help manuals..Some great tips especially for us who grapple with anxiety. I keep this little book in my lounge easy access if I feel the need to de stress..
Ekspektasi aku tentang buku ini terlalu tinggi. Aku kira akan banyak quotes -quotes gitu eh ternyata isinya exercise atau semacam tutorial buat meditasi or mindfullness.. 🥲
Un montón de perogrulladas y fantasías buenistas mezcladas con algunos consejos y técnicas que parecen interesantes o eficaces, y de propina algunas meditaciones más vistas que el tebeo. Al menos, el envoltorio es bonito, pero este libro no es para mí.
3.5 - jako poradnik oceniłabym na 4, ale całość to po prostu zbiór sposobów na spokój. Forma jest bardzo przyjemna do czytania, można znaleźć coś dla siebie. Bardzo ładnie wydana.

Paling menarik, ada tips colour your way calm, jadi mewarnai bisa ngebantu perasaan cemas dan stress, intinya bisa nenangin pikiran. Di bukunya ada halaman gambar buat kita warnain seru banget. Gue suka sih bukunya, kalo lagi kewalahan suka gue baca ulang. 🌱
