What do you do when you´re far away from your friends and are surrounded by theater geeks? People who are so wierd that the most natrual thing in their world is to pretend to be a birch tree.

After the unlucky episode in the pool Emmy is (very unwillingly) being deported to the worlds end, or more specific Grønnelundens drama school far away in the westsea. There are no TV in the afternoon, no café and no Kit. Instead there are girls who wear ethnic earrings and self designed clothes, and they love sitting in circles singing. It´s no fun being Emmy and feeling so different.

Fortunatly there are silverlinings to the we-have-to-be-friends-all-the-time-evil. Her roommate Rakel, who is goth, is not afraid of speaking her mind of most things. And then there is Johan, which really is a huge-annoying Idiot, but still is something special about...

Født 14. juli 1968 og opvokset i den meget lille by Hvornum, 12 km fra Hobro.

Begge forældre, Mona og Aage Finderup, var uddannede lærere. Mette har to større brødre, Søren og Nils Finderup, samt en lillesøster, Lene Finderup, fra farens andet ægteskab.

Gift med oversætter og forfatter Thomas Munkholt.

Har en søn, Arn, født 060606.
